  • Mobile is expanding beyond just a content consumption tool to an exclusive platform role. Mobile content refers to the services of companies using mobile devices. The advantage is that it can analyze the user's behavior in real-time, increasing satisfaction according to preference. On the other hand, the disadvantage is that minors can easily make paid payments due to a convenient online payment environment. Be careful not to be exposed to provocative media without using a content unauthorized theft platform. In addition, it is necessary to find ways to increase the net function of the mobile content platform and reduce the dysfunction.

Online Music Distribution Strategy to Develop the future Hallyu Music Industry

  • Purpose: The main aim of this study is to analyze and suggest new online music distribution models targeted to facilitate the development of the Korean Wave (Hallyu) music market in all locations of the world. This study is conducted through a close analysis of the prevailing distribution models, the unique challenges of the K-pop market, and the trends in new technologies. Research design, data and methodology: To address the issue of how the online music distribution market could be domesticated for the Korean music industry, a systematic review of the previous studies was conducted. The use of the PRISMA approach was followed so that an accurate and transparent method for choosing the studies is ensured. Results: According to the investigation of literature analysis, the online distribution strategy may consist of four key plannings as follows, 1. Leveraging Social Media and User-Generated Content Platforms, 2. Embracing Immersive and Interactive Experiences, 3. Fostering Direct-to-Fan Connections and Monetization, 4. Harnessing Artificial Intelligence and Big Data Analytics. Conclusions: Finally, collaboration and strategic partnerships will be vital. The Korean music companies should seek to cooperate with the technology companies, social media platforms, and the global music streaming services so that they can grow their market, acquire new technologies, and to better their online distribution strategies.

Enhancing Speech Recognition with Whisper-tiny Model: A Scalable Keyword Spotting Approach (Whisper-tiny 모델을 활용한 음성 분류 개선: 확장 가능한 키워드 스팟팅 접근법)

  • The effective implementation of advanced speech recognition (ASR) systems necessitates the deployment of sophisticated keyword spotting models that are both responsive and resource-efficient. The initial local detection of user interactions is crucial as it allows for the selective transmission of audio data to cloud services, thereby reducing operational costs and mitigating privacy risks associated with continuous data streaming. In this paper, we address these needs and propose utilizing the Whisper-Tiny model with fine-tuning process to specifically recognize keywords from google speech dataset which includes 65000 audio clips of keyword commands. By adapting the model's encoder and appending a lightweight classification head, we ensure that it operates within the limited resource constraints of local devices. The proposed model achieves the notable test accuracy of 92.94%. This architecture demonstrates the efficiency as on-device model with stringent resources leading to enhanced accessibility in everyday speech recognition applications.

The Construction of QoS Integration Platform for Real-time Negotiation and Adaptation Stream Service in Distributed Object Computing Environments (분산 객체 컴퓨팅 환경에서 실시간 협약 및 적응 스트림 서비스를 위한 QoS 통합 플랫폼의 구축)

  • Recently, in the distributed multimedia environments based on internet, as radical growing technologies, the most of researchers focus on both streaming technology and distributed object thchnology, Specially, the studies which are tried to integrate the streaming services on the distributed object technology have been progressing. These technologies are applied to various stream service mamgements and protocols. However, the stream service management mexlels which are being proposed by the existing researches are insufficient for suporting the QoS of stream services. Besides, the existing models have the problems that cannot support the extensibility and the reusability, when the QoS-reiatedfunctions are being developed as a sub-module which is suited on the specific-purpose application services. For solving these problems, in this paper. we suggested a QoS Integrated platform which can extend and reuse using the distributed object technologies, and guarantee the QoS of the stream services. A structure of platform we suggested consists of three components such as User Control Module(UCM), QoS Management Module(QoSM) and Stream Object. Stream Object has Send/Receive operations for transmitting the RTP packets over TCP/IP. User Control ModuleI(UCM) controls Stream Objects via the COREA service objects. QoS Management Modulel(QoSM) has the functions which maintain the QoS of stream service between the UCMs in client and server. As QoS control methexlologies, procedures of resource monitoring, negotiation, and resource adaptation are executed via the interactions among these comiXments mentioned above. For constmcting this QoS integrated platform, we first implemented the modules mentioned above independently, and then, used IDL for defining interfaces among these mexlules so that can support platform independence, interoperability and portability base on COREA. This platform is constructed using OrbixWeb 3.1c following CORBA specification on Solaris 2.5/2.7, Java language, Java, Java Media Framework API 2.0, Mini-SQL1.0.16 and multimedia equipments. As results for verifying this platform functionally, we showed executing results of each module we mentioned above, and a numerical data obtained from QoS control procedures on client and server's GUI, while stream service is executing on our platform.

A Comparative Analysis of OTT Service Reviews Before and After the Onset of the Pandemic Using Text Mining Technique: Focusing on the Emotion-Focused Coping and Nostalgia (텍스트 마이닝을 활용한 코로나 19 전후 온라인 동영상 서비스(OTT) 리뷰 비교분석 연구 - 정서 중심 대처와 노스탤지어를 중심으로)

  • This study aims to contribute to the understanding of consumer behavior during the COVID-19 by comparing blog reviews of an over-the-top (OTT) online video service from before and during the pandemic. We anticipate that the COVID-19 outbreak prompts the use of the OTT service as part of an emotion-focused coping strategy derived from the loss of personal control and the subsequent avoidance motivation. We also posit that a strong yearning for life before COVID-19 will increase interest in the content that fulfills a need for nostalgia. Our analysis of Netflix reviews provides empirical evidence of the effects of an emotion-focused coping strategy and nostalgia on OTT service usage. First, the titles of the reviews posted during COVID-19 indicate that consumers were less likely to mention OTT services other than Netflix, more interested in domestic content, and used OTT services as an avoidance-denial strategy. Second, the blog content demonstrates that while pre-COVID reviews tend to focus on the practical benefits of OTT services, those posted during the pandemic focus on mood, emotions, and dialogue. In addition, interest in comedy and romance genres increased during COVID-19. Third, we identified a greater preference for realistic or everyday content that depicted the pre-pandemic era. This is the first empirical study to investigate the effects of COVID-19 on video streaming usage in Korea. In addition, this research contributes to the field of marketing by expanding our understanding of online video service users during COVID-19 and identifies practical implications for OTT services in the midst of a pandemic.

The Moderating Effect of Self-efficacy on the Relationship between Regulatory Focus and Service Attachment in Live-commerce (라이브커머스에서 소비자의 조절초점성향과 서비스애착 관계에 미치는 자아효능감의 조절효과에 관한 연구)

  • The growth of the live commerce market allows you to conveniently and simply start live commerce anytime, anywhere with a smartphone. The use of smartphone services provides continuous communication and is used while feeling psychological attachment, and it leads to psychological attachment, self-consistency with consumers themselves, and self-identity. This study focuses on the motives and perceptions of consumers using live commerce. In other words, we will examine the relationship with service attachment through the moderating effect of self-efficacy and control focus tendency as consumers' personal and psychological characteristics. In other words, the tendency of regulatory focus, which determines the direction of behavior of consumers according to their motives and goals, affects the service attachment of live commerce. We believe that self-efficacy, which is personal confidence and belief that you can plan and execute on your own for the desired outcome in a given situation or task, will control this relationship. As a result of this research, consumers who highly perceive prevention focus were more likely to avoid negative consequences and pursue safety and obligations. Their attachment to live commerce services was stronger, offsetting their confidence and self-efficacy. When using live commerce services, the more they perceive that information acquisition is beneficial, the higher their belief, and self-efficacy, so service attachment, which is an emotional experience as well as a cognitive experience, is strongly formed for consumers with a preventive focus to avoid safety-seeking and negative consequences. Through the present research results, we believe that it will be helpful in operating strategies and management for companies and small business owners who want to understand the psychological behavior of consumers in using live commerce services.

A Framework of N-Screen Session Manager based N-Screen Service using Cloud Computing in Thin-Client Environment (씬클라이언트 환경에서 클라우드 컴퓨팅을 이용한 N-Screen 세션 관리 기반의 N-Screen 서비스 프레임워크)

  • We develop architecture of a virtual aggregation gateway (VAG) which enables composite application streaming based on N-Screen-as-a-Service (NaaS) using cloud computing in thin-client environment. We also discuss the problem of server computing burden in large scale multi-client case for screens sharing with composite application streaming over the internet. In particular, we propose an efficient Framework of N-Screen Session Manager which manages all media signaling that are necessary to deliver demanded contents. Furthermore, it will provides user with playback multimedia contents method (TV Drama, Ads, and Dialog etc) which is not considered in other research papers. The objectives of proposing N-Screen Session Manager are to (1) manage session status of all communication sessions (2) manage handling of received request and replies (3) allow users to playback multimedia contents anytime with variety of devices for screen sharing and (4) allow users to transfer an ongoing communication session from one device to another. Furthermore, we discuss the major security issues that occur in Session Initiation Protocol as well as minimizing delay resulted from session initiations (playback or transfer session).

A Design and Implementation of Application based on HTML5 of N-Screen Service (N-Screen Service를 위한 HTML5 기반의 Application 설계 및 구현)

  • Recently, depending on the development of smart devices, a variable services have been offered to meet user's convenience. Due to these advance, the needs of users are extremely being diversified and more specific. In that situation, the needs for the N-Screen system has been varied and gradually evolved. An existing N-Screen system that use the way of video streaming upload its multimedia contents to their own cloud server so that might take a long play-reaction time and the number of user is limited by the server's performance. Because of the web based protocol adopted by existing N-Screen system, there are many different problems like high delay, overhead and something caused by simplex data communications. Therefore, to solve the problems above, this study proposes an application based on HTML5. This application supports Video tag and Progressive download via HTML5 so that improves the play-reaction time for multimedia contents. This system can also get rid of the chronic problems such as an access limitation for lots of users as per video streaming encoding. Also, through web sockets, this study proposes a system that has lower delay than the existing system and communicates in full duplex to be able to link dynamically.

  • Large vessels are currently operating by using an ECDIS, a system enabling automatic navigation and checking marine conditions. In the past, the ECDIS was used for vessels but in these days, it has been used as a method for collecting and verifying marine information, etc. from land by using a computer, instead of taking a boat out. The ECDIS on sale is generally used by companies which operate marine workers. However, this system has caused inconvenience to marine workers, in terms of tasks, services, or operations. Marine workers move out to the sea after checking the status of the system at the office. Due to the weather such as waves and winds, marine devices are not often found on the relevant coordinates. In such a case, the workers onerously need to come back to the land and track the marine devices again. In order to solve such a problem, this thesis purposes to develop a system which can check the locations of marine devices and verify a marine chart even on the sea by using a mobile. The proposed system can integrate and support a variety of protocols of relevant devices in the system itself and check data via mobile through the data transmission and streaming functions.

  • In this paper, we introduce our experience for designing and implementing a media manager in the Integrated Streaming Service Architecture (ISSA) developed by the authors. The media manager is regarded as a necessary module in the ISSA framework for the following reasons. It realizes that from which locations of the media source devices, the media streams are coming. Once it knows where the origin is, the media manager should recognizes what types of stream are. After that, it performs how to chose an appropriate CODEC to handle the recognized input streams efficiently, and what type of media playback device should be selected. In order to do such a job efficiently, the proposed media manager consists of two modules source module and sink module. The major role of a media source module is to make an abstraction for the media streams that are coming from various types of media device. This, in consequence, enables a media manager to consistently handle tlle media streams without considering wherever they come from. On the other hand, the media sink module distributes the input streams to an appropriate media device to playback. One of the remarkable virtues of the proposed media manager is an ability to supporting high value-added database services since it provides an interface between the ISSA and real-time multimedia database. Also, it provides the RTP!RTSP source filter and Winamp gateway modules which allow the flexibility to the system. Moreover, the media manager can adopt any types of new media which in fact will provide scalability to the ISSA.
