  • This paper describes characteristic of ozone Generation by positive streamer corona discharge.   • 디지털 TV의 다채널의 프로그램과 다양한 부가 서비스가 가능하도록 하는 PSIP 전송 서버는 시스템의 안정성, 유지, 보수의 용이함, 이식성 등의 보장과 출력 데이터의 STD 규격 적합성 등의 요구 사항을 만족해야 한다. 현재 개발되어 있는 PSIP 전송 서버는 이러한 요구 사항을 충족 시키지 못하고 있다 본 논문에서는 PSIP 전송 서버를 PSIP Generator와 PSIP Streamer로 분리하고, PSIP Generator를 Java 언어로 구현하는 것을 제안한다. 이는 이식성과안정성, 규격 적합성을 충족하여 실제로 운용될 방송국의 요구 사항을 보장할 것이다.

  • The axial discharge at switching operations of EHV $SF_6$ disconnector can lead to the breakdown to the enclosure. Precursor in periphery zone leads to formation of leader over some time delay. Injected charge value depends on electric field and gap geometry. The calculation method for parameters of $SF_6$ insulation for DS in EHV-GIS is suggested by using the new criterion of leader inception in connection with periphery field nearby the boundary of streamer zone.

  • In a uniform field, when an electrode with a hemispherical protrusion is set in atmosphere, by applying the streamer breakdown criterion and the surface roughness factor, the effect of field distortion due to electrode surface roughness on breakdown is investigated theoretically. A quantitative relation between the threshold of breakdown and the air pressure times the heigh of protrusion is derived by the aid of a computor and the results are compared with that of SF$_{6}$./.

  • Measurement technique of three dimensional electric field distribution in liquid dielectrics have been studied. Kerr effect and computed tomography(CT) method have been used. Measuring time has been shortened by the use of multi-optical systems to less than several milliseconds. Near future, electric field distribution in front of a streamer tip of breakdown would be measured.

  • 향후 급속히 증가할 것으로 예측되는 전력수요에 대비한 새로운 대전력 수송방법의 필요성이 최근 선진국들을 중심으로 강하게 대두되고 있다. 이러한 목적에서 초전도 케이블이 필요하나 신뢰성, 안정성, 결제성을 보장하기 위해서는 극저온절연 기술이 반드시 해결되어야 한다. 특히 고온 초전도체를 사용하는 초전도체 케이블의 냉각 및 절연재료로 사용될 액체 N$_{2}$(LN$_{2}$)의 절연파괴특성은 중요하다. 본 논문에서 LN$_{2}$의 절연파괴에 미치는 기포의 영향을 조사하고 정침에서는 정 Streamer, 부침에서는 기포파괴기구의 가능성을 검토하였다.

  • Since the concept for the ozone generation using a nonequilibrium electric discharge techniques had been proposed by Siemens, some experimental and theoretical studies on the ozone generation by streamer corona discharge, surface discharge and silent discharge have been performed. In this paper some results on the discharge characteristics of the silent discharge gap with various dielectric materials were reported. Dielectric materials used in this study were pyrex glass, quartz and glass beefs with diameter of 1 mm.

  • Perfluorocompounds ($PFC_s$), such as tetrafluoromethane ($CF_4$) and hexafluoroethane ($C_2F_6$), have been widely used as plasma etching and chemical vapor deposition (CVD) gases for semiconductor manufacturing processes. Since these $PFC_s$ are known to cause a greenhouse effect intensively, there has been a growing interest in reducing $PFC_s$ emissions. Among various $CF_4$ decomposing techniques, a dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) is considered as one of a promising candidate because it has been successfully used for generating ozone ($O_3$) and decomposing nitrogen oxide (NO). Firstly, optimal concentration of oxygen for $CF_4$ decomposition was found to figure out how many primary and secondary reactions are associated with DBD process. Secondary, to find effective discharge method for $CF_4$ decomposition, a streamer and a glow mode in DBD are experimentally compared, which includes (i) coaxialcylinder DBD, (ii) DBD reactor packed with glass beads. and (iii) a glow mode operation with a helium gas. The test results showed that optimal concentration of oxygen was ranged 500 ppm~1% for treating 500 ppm of $CF_4$ and helium glow discharge was the most efficient one to decompose $CF_4$.

  • In this paper, computer simulations of the physical Phenomena occurring in the arc region before and after current zero were carried out to evaluate the dielectric recovery characteristics of two types of double-flow nozzles. A commercial CFD Program "PHOENICS" is used for the simulation and the user-coded subroutines to consider the arcing phenomena were added to this program by the authors. The computed results were verified by the comparison with the test results presented by the research group of BBC. In order to investigate the state of the arc region after current zero, the simulation was carried out with four steps. They are cold gas flow analysis, steady state arc simulation, transient arc simulation before current zero, transient hot gas flow simulation after current zero. The semi-experimental arc radiation model is adapted to consider the radiation energy transport and Prandtl′s mixing length model is employed as the turbulence model. The electric field and the magnetic field were calculated with the same grid structure used for the simulation of the flow field. The streamer criterion was introduced to evaluate the dielectric recovery characteristics after current zero. Compared with the results obtained by assuming the current zero state in the former studies, it has been found that the results obtained by considering the state before current zerowere more accurate.
