The overall effects of three different beers on white bread were examined in terms of mixograph, pH, fermentation rate, TPA, crumbScan, colorimeter, sensory evaluation, and the hardness of bread through different storage times (0, 1, 2, 3 days), and texture as measured by texture analyzer. According to mixograph, the control (CON), black beer stout (BOB) and Asahi beer (AOB) but not max beer (MOB) were found to be proper between 3 and 5 minutes of peak time. All samples for peak value were at the level of over 60%. AOB showed the highest specific volume, and was the lowest in hardness (i.e. highest in softness) by TPA and storage days. In sensory evaluation, the difference test showed that AOB had the best volume, springiness, moistness, and softness. Moreover, in an overall preference test AOB scored the highest points in texture, flavor, taste, and overall acceptance.

Distribution of Carex miyabei Franch., formerly considered as an endemic species of Japan, in Korea is verified and reported here. It is distinguished from the morphologically similar species in the same section, such as C. lasiocarpa Ehrh. var. occultans (Franch.) $K{\ddot{u}}k.$, C. drymopila Turcz. ex Steud. var. abbreviata ($K{\ddot{u}}k.$) Ohwi, and C. glabrescens (Kük.) Ohwi, in having long-beaked and acutely 2-toothed perigynia which are densely covered with stout short hairs.

The malignant fibrous histiocytoma was the most common soft tissue sarcoma in late life adult. It was first described in 1964 by 0' Brien and Stout. It's histiogenesis had been considered to be of histiocytic origin. It Involves the extremities, retroperitoneum and trunk. It usually metastasizes to the lung. but primary lung lesion is extremly rare and it's prognosis was poor. We have experienced a case of MFR, which was confirmed by open lung biopsy. So we report a case of MFR of the lung with review of literature.

Neurilemmoma is a benign tumor which arises generally from the Schwann's cells. It is a slowly growing tumor and treated as surgically. We experienced a case of neurilemmoma of the oropharynx in a 28-year-old female who had noticed a gradual swelling of the left side of the oropharynx with swallowing difficulty for 6 months. The tumor was removed successfully intra-orally under the general endotracheal anesthesia and verified pathologically as neurilemmoma.

Purpose This paper aims to effectively utilize user-generated content (UGC) and analyze the market structure of a relatively new market which lacks rich user review information. Specifically, we propose a domain-specific text mining tool for the domestic craft beer market and visualize the market structure by incorporating how individual beer products are positioned in the perceptual map of consumers. Design/methodology/approach We collect user review information from Naver blogs, and extract words that describe beers. We identify semantic relationships between beer products through text mining, and then depending on these semantic relationships, construct a graph representing the market structure of the domestic craft beer market based on the consumer's perceptual map. Findings First, beer products produced in the same brewery are perceived as very similar to consumers. Second, only two products, 'Heukdang Milky Stout' and 'Gompyo', was noticeably distinguishable from other products. Third, even though 'Gyeongbokgung' is from a different brewery, it is located very close to the products of 'Jeju Beer' brewery such as 'Jeju Baeknokdam Ale' and 'Seongsan Ilchulbong Ale', which suggests the influence of 'landmark series.' We successfully show that our methodology effectively describes the market structure of the craft beer market.

The role of the Engineer in the era of nano-technology is explored, a trend in manufacture which is expected to yield a ＄20-30 billion per annum business throughout the world by the year 2020. The engineers who will be working in this subject will be required to have broadly based experience, over a range of traditional disciplines, such as physics. electronics, software engineering, control and mechanical engineering. As well as having an appreciation of other disciplines such as air conditioning, vibration analysis and its minimisation, the selection of materials for maximum stability and minimal thermal distortion as well as an understanding of ultra precision design and nano tribology. In other words the engineer who is to be successful in this new and emerging field, will have to be broader based than engineers of the past, where it was traditional to break up the elements of a discipline to smaller subsets. But as nano-technology advances and the subject brings about the evolution of nanotronics to provide a successful solution to emerging problems, it will be essential for a breed of engineers to develop who can consider the subject in a holistic manner. This paper therefore considers the emergence of nano-technology, predicts the subsets of the development and places them in context of the new engineer which will be required in increasing numbers. The paper summarises the skills of the proposed nanotronics engineer and provides a basis for their training and development.

Purpose: This study analyzes the impact of weather conditions, holidays, and sporting events on beer sales, providing insights for market strategy and inventory management in the beer industry. Research design, data and methodology: Beer types were classified into Lagers and Ales, with further subcategories. The study utilized weekly retail sales data from January 2018 to August 2020, provided by Nielsen Korea. An ARMAX model was employed for time-series analysis. Results: The analysis revealed that increasing temperatures positively influence sales of Pilsners and Pale Lagers. Conversely, higher precipitation levels negatively affect overall Lager sales. Among Ales, only Stout sales showed a significant decrease with increased rainfall. Sunshine duration did not significantly impact sales for any beer type. Humidity generally had little effect on beer sales, with the exception of Amber Lagers, which showed sensitivity to humidity changes. Holidays and sporting events were found to significantly boost sales across most beer types, although the specific impacts varied by beer category. Conclusions: This study offers a detailed analysis of how weather conditions and specific events influence different beer type sales. The findings provide valuable insights for breweries, beer processors, and retailers to optimize their market strategies and inventory management based on weather forecasts and seasonal events. By understanding the consumption patterns of each beer type in relation to environmental factors, businesses can better anticipate demand fluctuations and tailor their operations accordingly.

Three echinostome species, i.e., Patagifer bilobus, Petasiger neocomense, and Saakotrema metatestis, are newly recorded in the trematode fauna of the Republic of Korea. They were recovered from 3 species of migratory birds (Platalea minor, Podiceps cristatus, and Egretta garzetta), which were donated by the Wildlife Center of Chungbuk (WCC) and the Conservation Genome Resource Bank for Korean Wildlife (CGRB). Only 1 P. bilobus specimen was recovered from the intestine of a black-faced spoonbill (P. minor), and characterized by the bilobed head crown with a deep dorsal incision and 54 collar spines. Twenty P. neocomense were recovered from the intestine of a great crested grebe (P. cristatus), and they had a well-developed head crown with 19 spines and 2 testes obliquely located at the posterior middle of the body. Total 70 S. metatestis were collected from the bursa of Fabricius of 1 little egret (E. garzetta). It is characterized by stout tegumental spines covered in the entire leaf-shaped body, posterior extension of the uterus, presence of the uroproct and a well-developed head crown with 12 pairs of collar spines on each side. By the present study, these 3 echinostome species are newly added to the trematode fauna in Korea.

Hemangiopericytoma is uncommon vascular neoplasm that arises from pericytes arround the capillary walls. It was first described as a distinct vascular neoplasm by Stout and Murray in 1942 The anatomic distribution is widespread throughout the body, with approximately one third occur in the head and neck. No sex predilection has been found. Although middle age appears to be the most prevalent time of onset, this neoplasm has been found in all age groups. The differentiation between benign and malignant hemangiopericytoma can be difficult. Although the majority of these tumors are benign, there are malignant variants that can metastasize. Metastasis of seemingly benign tumors may appear year of decade later, so long term close follow-up is needed. The treatment of choice is complete surgical excision of the tumor. Despite their vascular origin, these tumors are relatively radioresistant. Radiation therapy is reserved for inoperable metastases or treatment of postoperative surgical fields. Here we present a case of hemangiopericytoma occuring on the Lt. buccal mucosa.

A SEM study was performed on the surface of adult P. habayashii Park, 1940, recovered from the snake, Elaphe rufodorsata. The anterior part of the worms was cup-shape and equipped with oral, ventral suckers, pseudosuckers, and tribocytic organ, and the posterior one was finger-like and round-ended, The tegument of the anterior body was covered with 3~4 pointed small spines on the midventral surface and 1~2 pointed ones on the lateral surface. Sensory papillae such as type II, dome-shape ones, and papillae with an opening were distributed over the ventral surface of the anterior portion. The round tribocytic organ was bearing small stout spines laterally, whereas the surface Which comes in contact with the host tissues consisted of numerous long fibrillar fibers. The lip of the oral sucker contained type II papillae. Lateral margin of the anterior body revealed type III papillae.
