  • Blu-ray Disk, the next generation optical information storing equipment used Blu-ray is the next generation leading storing equipment that has capacity is about from six times to thirty-five times bigger than the existing CDs, DVDs. Especially, we need elaborate optical pick-Up equipment to record and recognize detailed date. Moreover, Blu-ray disk has so narrow track-pitch so it is used high NA(Numerical Aperture) aspheric glass objective lens. In this research, we processed optical pick-up aspheric glass objective lens molding press core by parallel grinding method with ultra precision machining and mold core surface measured form accuracy(PV), surface roughness(Ra).

  • "Eumsigbangmun(飮食方文)"is an old culinary archive written in 1880s and has been categorized into 144 parts, 86.5% of the archive deals with food, while the rest deals with clothing and dwelling. The contents of the food section are : recipe, storage, effect and taboo. The recipes are : 7 staple foods, 57 side dishes, 13 rice cakes, 5 Korean cookies and 7 drinks. The spices are : hot chilli pepper paste, soybean sauce and vinegar. The traditional alcoholic drinks are significant to the old culinary archive, but "Eumsigbangmun" has no record of it. Supplying food was a major problem during those times ; therefore, the archive introduces 17 methods of storing and engineering food, such as : storing vegetables and fruits, method of beef jerky, cleansing and storing of fishes. It also cautions about the traits and effects of fishes and meats. "Eumsigbangmun" is mostly similar to "Gyuhabchongseo(閨閤叢書)" and "Jusiksiui(酒食是儀)", however, it deals with / introduces unique foods such as doejomitang and yangjjim.

  • Speech homomorphic encryption has become one of the key components in secure speech storing in the public cloud computing. The major problem of speech homomorphic encryption is the huge data expansion of speech cipher-text. To address the issue, this paper presents a speech homomorphic encryption scheme with less data expansion, which is a probabilistic statistics and addition homomorphic cryptosystem. In the proposed scheme, the original digital speech with some random numbers selected is firstly grouped to form a series of speech matrix. Then, a proposed matrix encryption method is employed to encrypt that speech matrix. After that, mutual information in sample speech cipher-texts is reduced to limit the data expansion. Performance analysis and experimental results show that the proposed scheme is addition homomorphic, and it not only resists statistical analysis attacks but also eliminates some signal characteristics of original speech. In addition, comparing with Paillier homomorphic cryptosystem, the proposed scheme has less data expansion and lower computational complexity. Furthermore, the time consumption of the proposed scheme is almost the same on the smartphone and the PC. Thus, the proposed scheme is extremely suitable for secure speech storing in public cloud computing.

  • Recent business environments require a company to communicate frequently with other companies. This makes it essential to use XML (eXtensible Markup Language) documents for integration of information systems. Especially in e-Business environments, change management of documents is important to record and trace the history of the documents. In this paper, we propose a new method of storing a document by detecting changes automatically and reconstructing the document version when a user requests. In addition, based on the method, we also propose a model to recover a document into previous state even when system errors occur. A prototype system is implemented on top of a workflow system and an experiment is carried out to present efficiency of our method. Our approach provides efficiency of storage space and convenient management of documents.

  • Recent evolution in compute technology makesthe multimedia processing widely availiable. Conventional storage systems do not meet the requirements of multimedia data. Several approaches were suggested to improve disk storing methods for them. Bocheck proposed a disk partitioning technique for multiple steams assuming that all steams have same retrieval intervals with the same amount data for each access. While Bocheck's one provides a good method for same period, it does not consider the case of different periods of continous media streams. This paper proposes a new partitioning technique in which a fixed number of blocks are assigned for stresms with different retrieval periodicity. The analysis shows this problem is the same as the one scheduling the steams into a given sequence. The simulation was done to compare the proposed m-sequence merge method with the conventional Scan-EDF and Partitioning methods.

  • This paper presents a new method of parity storing for ECC(error correcting code) in SSD (solid-state drive) and suitable structure of the controller. In general usage of NAND flash memory, we partition a page into data and spare area. ECC parity is stored in the spare area. The method has overhead on area and timing due to access of the page memory discontinuously. This paper proposes a new parity policy storing method that reduces overhead and R(read)/W(write) timing by using whole page area continuously without partitioning. We analyzed overhead and R/W timing. As a result, the proposed parity storing has 13.6% less read access time than the conventional parity policy with 16KB page size. For 4GB video file transfer, it has about a minute less than the conventional parity policy. It will enhance the system performance because the read operation is key function in SSD.

  • Recently, many storing methods were applied to keep quality of herb medicines during storage. Among of thent we tried to research a method to store after dissolving remaining harmful bacillus and agricultural chemicals of herb medicines. We confirmed that ozone processing is superior at the sterilization of bacteria and virus from the leading research about ozone generator, and then we made research method to apply with the sterilization and storing processing of herb medicines using ozone (OPS). In this study we chose herb medicines of 4 kinds which have been sold much in the market, evaluated the characteristics. Namely, we used ozone lamp in a storage system and investigated the sterilization characteristic of herb medicines. We executed a quantitative analysis of the general ingredient and the physiological activity ingredient to investigate whether the original ingredient and the quality of herb medicines is preserved, after doing an ozone md storing processing for a long term.

  • With the recent demand for analysis using data, the size of the knowledge graph, which is the data to be analyzed, gradually increased, reaching about 82 billion edges when extracted from the web as a knowledge graph. A lot of knowledge graphs are represented in the form of Resource Description Framework (RDF), which is a standard of W3C for representing metadata for web resources. Because of the characteristics of RDF, existing RDF storages have the limitations of processing time overhead when converting and storing large amounts of RDF data. To resolve these limitations, in this paper, we propose a method of compressing and converting large amounts of RDF data into integer IDs using MapReduce, and vertically partitioning and storing them. Our proposed method demonstrated a high performance improvement of up to 25.2 times compared to RDF-3X and up to 3.7 times compared to H2RDF+.

  • SSD has a limitation of number of erase/write cycles and does not allow in-place update unlike the hard disk because SSD is composed of an array of NAND flash memory. Thus, FTL is used to effectively manage SSD of having different characteristics from traditional disk. FTL has page, block, log-block mapping method. Among then, when log-block mapping method such as BAST and FAST is used, the performance of SSD is degraded because frequent merge operations cause lots of pages to be copied and deleted. This paper proposes a data allocation and replacement method based on access frequency by allocating PRAM as checking area of access frequency, log blocks, storing region of hot data in SSD. The proposed method can enhance the performance and lifetime of SSD by storing cold data to flash memory and storing log blocks and frequently accessed data to PRAM and then reducing merge and erase operations. Besides, a data replacement method is used to increase utilization of PRAM which has limitation of capacity. The experimental results show that the ratio of erase operations of the proposed method is 46%, 38% smaller than those of BAST and FAST and the write performance of the proposed method is 34%, 19% higher than those of BAST and FAST, and the read performance of the proposed method is 5%, 3% higher than those of BAST and FAST, respectively.
