A Sudy for Revision of the KORMARC Format(Monograph) (KORMARC 형식(단행본용)의 개정에 관한 연구)

  • MARC format for bibliographic data is to make the functions of shared cataloging easier and to provide exhaustivity for storing national bibliographic information, and powerful and flexible structure to communicate with international cataloging information. KORMARC format was developed in 1984 to form the basis for storing bibliographic information in a consistent and non-redundant form, and for sharing that information and manupulating it by computer. MARC format needs evolution to make the format more consistent and more useful, and to support new forms of material and new forms of control. The purpose of this study is to evaluate and discuss the original KORMARC format for monographs developed by the National Central Library in 1984 in order to provide the basis for a new revised format and format integration.

  • By storing various train information in running high speed train, we can analyze the cause of train accident efficiently. we have developed the smart and high available control method to control and manage the hardware modules. The hardware modules for event recorder consist CPU, Digital Input and Output, Pulse Input, Communication, Control Panel and Crash Protected Memory. The real time operation system is used to totally control and manage the various hardware modules. The main function of control method is collection of train information, calculation of train speed, interface with other on-board control system, storing and retrieving train information, and communication with Control Panel. In Control Panel, it displays the current train speed and the status of event recorder effectively. Also user interface is provided in Control Panel.

Physicochemical and Texture of Bread added Paecilomyces japonica according to Storage Period (동충하초 첨가식빵의 저장기간에 따른 이화학적. 텍스쳐 특성)

  • For a period of 5 days, the quality of breads with Paecilomyces japonica powder were investigated using chemical, sensory, and mechanical evaluations at $25^{\circ}C$. The result of analysis of chemical properties revealed that the pH value of dough was increased as the amount of Paecilomyces japonica powder increased, but volume of dough and baking loss rate were decreased. Breads with 1% and 2% Paecilomyces japonica powder showed a good overall preference in sensory evaluation. As storing time passed. moisture content, lightness, and redness were decreased in all breads, but yellowness increased. Hardness and gumminess of texture analysis were increased as storing time passed, but springiness decreased. Springiness of the mechanical properties was negatively correlated with pH value of dough and volume of bread, while was positively correlated with volume of dough and baking loss rate. In the analysis of correlation between sensory and mechanical properties showed that hardness of mechanical properties had negative correlation with softness, moistness, and springiness. Cohesiveness of mechanical properties had positive correlation with acceptability.

Slowly Odor-evaporating Polyethylene Film Containing Surface-modified Celite Powder

  • Celite powder surface-modified with cationic surfactant was used to make polyethylene (PE) specialty film that can be contrasted with ordinary film in having high odor storing capacity and long odor lasting period. Mechanical properties of the films were sacrificed as more celite particles were included, whether celite surface was modified or not. The film with CTAS-modified celite showed the best odor storing and lasting properties for five different flavors of odor, three artificial and two natural ones, among the kinds of films developed. Comparisons among the different films are made, together with brief discussion about the reason for differences in odor lasting period and possible application to packaging industry.

  • Mathematical modeling and simulation of biochemical reaction networks gained a lot of attention recently since it can provide valuable insights into the interrelationships and interactions of genes, proteins and metabolites in a reaction network. A number of attempts have been made for modeling and storing biochemical reaction networks without their dynamical properties but unfortunately storing and efficiently querying of the dynamic (mathematical) models are not yet studied extensively. In this paper, we present a novel nested relational data schema to store a pathway with its dynamic properties. We then show how to make the mapping between this dynamic pathway schema with the corresponding static pathway representation.

  • We design as well as implement MRTG++ enhanced by eliminating drawbacks of original MRTG. Existing MRTG makes it easy to monitor network resources on the web, and it can show some trend utilization about resources of remote systems. However MRTG has only functions showing statistical information data with daily/monthly/yearly characteristics in real-time, and periodically deletes stored data. Thus we improve log file-based storing method as an effectivelly storing method with database, propose expended MRTG++ retrieving as well as managing with measured data. It also can be applied in ubiquitous environment.

  • Recent business environments require a company to communicate frequently with other companies. This makes it essential to use XML (extensible Markup Language) documents. Especially in e-Business environments, change management of documents is important to record and trace the history of the documents. It is also important to reconstruct a certain version of documents that are exchanged among companies. In this paper, we propose a new method of storing a document by detecting changes automatically and reconstructing the document version when a user requests. A prototype system is implemented on top of a workflow system. Our approach provides efficiency of storage space and convenient management of documents.

  • This paper presents the implementation of an automatic road sign recognizer for an intelligent transport system. In this system, lists of road signs are processed with actions such as line segmentation, single sign segmentation, and storing an artificial sign in the database. The process of taking the video stream and extracting the road sign and storing in the database is called the road sign recognition. This paper presents a study on recognizing traffic sign patterns using a segmentation technique for the efficiency and the speed of the system. The image is converted from one scale to another scale such as RGB to grayscale or grayscale to binary. The images are pre-processed with several image processing techniques, such as threshold techniques, Gaussian filters, Canny edge detection, and the contour technique.

  • In this paper, we propose a flight data storing system for effective data processing. Since the flight data contains critical information and their sizes are vast, encryption and compression would be needed to manage the flight data in effect. And we implemented the flight data storing system using an embedded board with DSP based on DPCM compression and AES encryption. Especially, we applied the reordering technique to advance the security function. From the simulations for two type data of voice and avionics, we found the developed system is well performed.

  • It is made possible a removal of the preamble for carrier recovery and symbol-timing recovery by storing a burst in memory with low overhead QPSK demodulation and this demodulation method also effects frame efficiency improved by processed synchronization performance. In this paper, we have proposed that new algorithm for arc-tangent look-up table which transform the input I, Q data by phase. This I, Q data plays an important role in demodulation and makes demodulator with low-overhead by storing a burst in memory. To evaluate proposed new algorithm and symbol-timing recovery method, function simulation and timing verification have been done by using synopsys VHDL tool.
