The purpose of this study was to analyze the parenting behaviors which are represented in traditional fairy tales and creative stories. In this study the parenting behaviors of 44 traditional fairy tales and 52 creative stories for young children were analyzed according to the Korean Maternal Behavior Inventories (KMBI). The results are as follows : First, active participation, affectionate behaviors, reasonable guide, and consistency were represented more in creative stories than in traditional fairy tales and authoritarian control was represented more in traditional fairy tales than in creative stories. Second, fathers in creative stories participated more actively in their children's teaching than fathers on traditional fairy tales. Third, mothers in creative stories showed more affectionate parenting behaviors, participated more actively and showed more consistency in the relationship with their children. Fourth, the parents in traditional fairy tales showed more achievement-oriented parenting behaviors, especially in father-son relationship than others.

본 연구는 온라인 저널리즘의 추천기사가 대학생들의 뉴스기사 선택에 미치는 영향을 두 차원에서 분석하였다. 하나는 추천기사이고, 다른 하나는 이들 뉴스기사의 배치순위와 이용지수이다. 분석결과 11개의 추천기사 유형 중 7개 유형은 뉴스기사 선택에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타난 반면, 4개 유형은 유의미하지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 뉴스기사 선택에 영향을 미치지 않은 것으로 나타난 추천기사 유형의 대부분은 댓글이나 SNS의 트윗과 관련된 것들이다. 또한 뉴스기사 및 검색어 배치순위는 뉴스기사 선택에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으나 이용지수는 영향을 미치지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 뉴스기사 이용시간과 추천기사 유형 간 그리고 추천기사 유형 간 상관관계는 대부분 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 분석결과를 종합하면, 뉴스기사 게재위치와 온라인 저널리즘의 추천기사와 같은 형식적 요인은 뉴스기사 헤드라인과 검색어 등의 내용과 더불어 뉴스 이용자들의 뉴스기사 선택에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 결론지을 수 있다.

이 논문은 전통적인 전설이 현대에 어떻게 변화하고 존재하면서 전설로서의 가치와 의미를 계승 발전시켜 나가고 있는가 하는 것을 확인해보려는 의도에서 시작되었다. 연구 대상은 현대의 전설 중 학교괴담과 나란히 가치가 있다고 판단되는 군대괴담을 대상으로 하였다. 군대괴담은 인터넷을 중심으로 전승이 활발한 현대 도시전설로서 '군대에서의 초자연적이고 기이한 경험을 소재로 하되 공포감을 불러일으키는 서사적 이야기'라고 정의할 수 있다. 커뮤니티 외에도 유머 사이트, 게임사이트에서 활발히 전승되고 있으며, 최근에는 괴담 전문 사이트까지 등장하였다. 이처럼 이런 다양한 사이트들에서 활발한 전승을 보이고 있는 군대괴담은 '귀신 체험형', '불고기 GP형', '괴무전형'의 세 가지 유형으로 나눌 수 있었다. 가장 많은 각편을 보유하고 있으며 내용도 풍부하고 다양한 '귀신 체험형'은 귀신에 대한 전통적 관념에서 크게 벗어나지 않는다. 이름에서부터 엽기적 공포감을 불러일으키는 '불고기 GP형'은 실제 사건과 관련을 가지며 공포감을 더욱 고조시키고 있고, '괴무전형'은 영화나 드라마에서 낭만적으로 많이 활용된 소재임에도 군대괴담에서는 공포스럽게 인식되고 있다는 점에서 차이를 보인다. 군대괴담은 제목과 내용에서부터 그 이야기가 실제로 경험한 것이라는 점을 지속적으로 강조하면서 구체적인 근거들을 제시하고 있다. 진실성의 강조는 공포심을 현실화하려는 의도이며 이는 안전에 대한 욕망에서 기인하는 것이다. 이처럼 군대괴담은 공포에 초점을 맞추면서 이야기 속 사건 자체의 역사성과 진실성을 밝히려는 노력을 하게 되고 그러면서 현실의 역사, 현실적 상황이 처한 진실, 현실적 이념은 소거되는 한계를 노정하고 있다. 전통적인 전설이 지녔던 역사성과 진실성이 군대괴담의 경우에는 다른 방식으로 변주되고 있는 것이다.

The question addressed by the present research was whether repeated, careful reading of a few stories(Intensive Reading) is more effective than general, one-time reading of many stories(Extensive Reading). Unfamiliar stories were read to 105 kindergarten children from typewritten sheets of paper for 40 days(about 10 weeks). The Intensive Reading group heard 5 stories and the Extensive Reading group heard 40 stories. Effectiveness was measured by interest level during story telling and by narrative structure. Test scores were analysed by ANCOVA. No differences were found between the 2 groups; however, as a new area of study it could serve as a catalyst for research on story telling methods.

This paper attempts to examine the effect of children's English stories on the development of Korean EFL primary school learners' listening and speaking competences and their motivation to learn English. This paper also discusses factors of English children's stories that make EFL learners' language learning efficient. Participants were 120 primary school students who attend one of the elementary schools in Chungnam province. They were randomly chosen and divided into two groups: experimental and control groups. In order to collect data, students' listening and speaking proficiency pre- and post-tests and the pre- and post-questionnaires regarding the participants' motivation to learn English were administered. The data were analyzed by ANOVA. The results indicate that the application of English children's stories to EFL learning settings can be an efficient way to improve EFL learners' listening and speaking competences and motivation to learn their target language. The findings of this study suggest that English children's stories provide language learners with interest, meaningful and authentic contexts and enjoyment. The pedagogical suggestion and implications are provided for EFL educators and teachers.

This study investigated the effects of story making activity with wordless picture books on the language abilities of 5- and 6-year-old children. The 52 subjects attending a kindergarten in Kwangju were randomly assigned to an experimental group or a control group of 26 children each. The experimental group made stories with wordless picture books while the control group listened to stories. Experimental treatments were given twice a week for 6 weeks. Assessment was by The Language Comprehension-Cognition Test(1994), The Picture Vocabulary Test(1995), and The Sentence-Comprehension Test(1996). Qualitative level of the stories was analyzed by Morrow's(1985) revised Instrument Assessing Children Understanding of Stories(Chae, 1996). The vocabulary, language-comprehension, and story-composing ability of children who made stories with wordless picture books were higher than those of children who listened to stories told by teachers.

Leslie Marmon Silko's Storyteller does not belong to a typical category of books, for it looks more like a family album with photographs, poems and Pueblo narratives as well as short stories authored by her. This 'book' without any chapters defies a traditional concept of books we are familiar with. In addition to refusing to be labelled as a conventional book, I argue, Storyteller defies the tradition of Western personal writing in that it shows the collective power of stories. That is, stories have the collective power which is impersonal beyond personal, internalized identity. It does not mean, however, the collective power comes from groups rather than individuals. It is not the conventional opposition of group and individual but that of group and collectiveness that matters here. I draw a distinction between group and collectiveness on the ground that the former actually groups individuals into categories with which individuals identify themselves. It is not group but collectiveness where stories find their power. "Storyteller," the first of eight short stories in the book, tells the story of an unnamed protagonist, a Yupik Eskimo girl, who takes revenge of her parents who died after drinking poisoned alcohol sold by a white storeman. There are four layers of stories in this short story. The first one is the old man's story of a blue glacier bear; the second one is a revenge story of the Yupik girl; the third one is a story told by the girl to the attorney after being arrested for the death of a storeman. And the final one is the story told to us by Silko, entitled "Storyteller." Although the structure of story within story resembles a technique of metafiction at a glance, it surely is a characteristic of Pueblo narratives in general, according to Silko. This kind of stories within stories refers to the collective power of story which, like a spider's web with many little threads radiating from the center and crisscrossing one another, is also a characteristic of stories on the Web today.

본 연구에서는 SW교육의 새로운 방법의 일환으로 컴퓨팅 사고력 핵심 개념을 포함한 코딩 동화 및 코딩 동화 연계 언플러그드 활동을 개발하였으며 초등학생을 대상으로 수업을 적용하여 학습 동기 및 CT 핵심 개념 학업 성취도의 변화를 분석하였다. 코딩 동화 개발을 위해 전문가 집단 11인의 설문 조사 분석을 통해 컴퓨팅 사고력의 핵심 개념을 도출하여 타당성을 검증받았으며 도출된 컴퓨팅 사고력 핵심 개념을 활용하여 연구자가 직접 코딩 동화를 개발하였다. 코딩 동화 연계 언플러그드 활동 또한 연구자가 내용을 구성하였으며 수업 전, 후 컴퓨팅 사고력과 학습 동기의 변화 결과를 분석하였다. 수업 전, 후 컴퓨팅 사고력의 핵심 개념 학업 성취도 점수가 평균 54.44에서 83.10점으로 상승하였으며 학습 동기 또한 평균 점수 103.48에서 110.44로 향상되었다. 이를 통해 코딩 동화를 통한 SW학습이 학생들의 컴퓨팅 사고력 및 SW 학습 동기 증진에 효과적이라는 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.

This study analyzed ecological elements of 140 nursery rhymes, stories, and plays in the $6^{th}$ edition of the Guide for Educational Activities and Materials for Kindergarten. The results show that 24 works(17.1%) have ecological elements. Content analysis of ecological elements in these works show works that deal with the side effects of environmental development(3 nursery stories), the cult of nature(1 nursery rhyme), recognition of the eco-cycle(2 nursery rhymes, 4 stories, 2 plays), dignity of life and recovery of human nature(12 nursery stories). On the basis of the results, children's literature containing ecological elements were suggested.

The spot weldability of high strength steel sheet and two stories galvannealed high strength steel sheet has been studied. 1) Tensile shear strength decreased inversely as welding current increased over 12KA in the case of two stories galvannealed high strength steel sheet. 2) When heat flux input over 12KA, hardening region become narrow in case of two stories galvannealed high strength steel sheet. 3) The size of hardening region affect the strength of nuggets.
