Genetic materials including DNA plasmid are effective delivery vehicle to express interesting gene efficiently and safely not to generate replication competent virus. Moreover, it has advantages to design a better vector and to simplify manufacturing and storage condition. To understand a possible pathogenic mechanism by a flavivirus, West Nile virus (WNV), WNV genome sequence was aligned to other pathogenic viral genome. Interestingly, WNV capsid (Cp) amino acid sequence has some homology to HIV-l Vpr protein. These proteins induce apoptosis in human cell lines as well as in vivo and cell cycle arrest. Therefore, DNA plasmid carrying apoptosis-inducing and cell cycle arresting viral proteins including a HIV-1 Vpr and a WNV Cp protein can be useful for anti-cancer therapeutic applications. This WNV Cp protein is an early expressed protein which can be a reasonable target antigen (Ag) for vaccine design. Immunization of a DNA construct encoding WNV Cp protein induces a strong Ag-specific humoral and Th1-type immune responses in animal. Therefore, DNA plasmid encoding apoptotic viral proteins can be useful tool for therapeutic and prophylactic applications.

Now these days, many technical concepts and tools have been developed in the cryptographic field. Most digital signature schemes used in practice, such as RSA or DSA, have an important role in information privacy and secure authentication for perfect user. A clearly advantage of such schemes over with security proven relative to such common cryptographic assumptions, is their efficiency: as a result of their relative weak requirements regarding computation, bandwidth and storage, these scheme have so far beaten proven secure schemes in practice. Our aim is to contribute to bridge the gap that exists between the theory and practice of digital signature schemes. In this paper we present a digital signature that ensures information privacy. More precisely, under an appropriate assumption about RSA, the scheme is proven to be existentially forgeable under adaptively chosen message attacks. This mechanism can be applied to smart cards or E-Wallet for maintaining secure authentication for user’s information privacy.

정보통신기술의 발달로 각종 정보의 전자화에 따라 정보의 생산과 수집, 저장, 관리 및 이용과정이 지금까지의 평면적 인쇄정보에서 입체적이며 다감각적인 네트워크형 멀티미디어 정보형태로 변환되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 정보사회에서 필연적으로 요구되는 효율적인 전자정보 관리를 위하여 미국을 중심으로 선진국들의 전자정보 관리 현황을 비교, 분석하여 우리나라 현실에 적용 가능한 전자정보 관리시스템 모형을 제시하고자 한다.

복잡한 연소과정의 예측을 위한 이론적인 연구는 Gosman, Spalding, Patankar등의 수치해석방 법을 이용하여 진행된 것들이 많다. 현재 이분야에 응용되는 일반적인 Program으로는 Boundary Layer Type의 방정식을 이용한 One-Dimensional Program (GENMIX 4, Revised GENMIX) 등이 있으나 Parabolic Type이므로 주방향에 수직된 방향으로 동일한 값이 2개 이상 존재할 수 있는 Elliptic현상을 설명하기에는 어려움이 있다. 그러므로 비록 기억용량(Computation Storage) 및 계산시간(Running Time)에 불리한 점이 있기는 하나 Elliptic상황을 해석해야만 할 경우가 있다. 본 해설은 Patankar의 Elliptic "SIMPLE" Program을 연소 해석과정에 이용되는 방법을 간단한 연소과정의 예로서 설명하는 것으로 연소과정의 연구보다도 Program의 응용성에 중점을 두었다. 따라서 실제의 물리적인 연소 mechanism에서 많은 가정을 도입하여 문제를 단순화 시켰으며 실제의 연소문제에 충분한 접근을 위해서는 turbulence-modeling과 radiation heat flux가 본 해설에 덧붙여져서 논의되어야 한다. 논의되어야 한다.

We used differential scanning calorimetry and a thermogravimetric analysis to investigate the effect of being confined in mesoporous MCM-41 on the decomposition of lithium borohydride and magnesium borohydride when heated. The confinement did not cause a phase transition of the metal borohydrides inside MCM-41, but did lower their decomposition temperature. With the exception of a lowering of the temperature, the decomposition reaction mechanism of the metal borohydrides was nearly the same for both the bulk and confined samples.

From wood to coal and petroleum, mankind has used various fuel. Since using such fuel, mankind has developed power source of mechanism. We obtain numerous power from caloric force. Present energy supply is based on the fossil fuel. Fossil fuel has high energy density and is convenient for transportation and storage. Human being prepared countermeasure of energy economy, high energy efficiency and substitution energy for limits of fossil fuel. High energy efficiency among them is very important. This research will improve total output by physical exergy recovery of $LH_2$-fuel cell system.

기존의 데이타베이스에 음성 데이타를 저장하여 음성 데이타 베이스를 구축하고자 할 경우, 음성 데이타의 특성이 가변장(variable length)이며, 튜플(음소 단위)의 길이가 매우 긴 패턴 데이타이므로 기존의 데이타베이스 시스템에서는 지원할 수 없다. 또, 현재의 음성 인식 시스템에서는 패턴 데이타를 순차적인 검색 방법으로 검색하고 있어 빠른 검색 방법이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 음성 데이타를 음소 단위로 인식하기 위해 음소 패턴 데이타를 저장하고, 유사한 특성을 갖는 부류와 음소 길이에 의한 분류를 혼합한 방법을 이용하여 빠른 시간에 검색을 할 수 있게 하기 위한 저장 구조와 검색 알고리즘을 제시한다.

Rehmannia glutinosa is a perennial medicinal plant belonging to the family Scrophulariaceae with more than 300 species known in the world, especially in temperate regions. Its roots have been used widely in Korea for medicinal purposes. However, it is commonly infected by various pathogens during storage, causing great damage to the roots, and impedes the intensive farming of the crop. Therefore, an attempt has been made to isolate and screen a resistance gene against the pathogen Fusarium oxysporum using differential display. We treated salicylic acid(SA), and isolated a resistance gene that responds to SA. As a result, we found that SA was involved in plant defense mechanism in pathogenicity tests with SA treated and non-treted plants, and we isolated a partial PR-la gene through differential display polymerase chain reaction(DD-PCR) method.

Photoassimilates translocate from regions of carbohydrate synthensis(source) to regions of carbohydrate utilization or storage(sink). In the source, assimilate loads into the phloem for long-distance transport. Current evidence suggests that there are twig loading mechanisms : one involves assimilate transfer via the apoplasm and then load into the phloem by carrier-mediated proton-sucrose cotransport, while the other involves movement through the continuous symplastic connections between the mesophyll cells and the phloem. Inspite of problems associated with the interpretation of experiments, the evidence for apoplastic loading remains convincing because the apoplastic loading systems explains well the observed accumulation capacity arid the selectivity of assimilate uptake by tile phloem.

To elucidate one of the effect of piperine on the peripheral sympathetic nervous system, influence of piperine upon the contractile action of norepinephrine, methoxamine and tyramine as well as uptake and release of $[^{3}H]-norepinephrine$ has been investigated in naive and chronic piperine-treated vas deferens of rats. $pA_2$ value for ${\alpha}_1-adrenoceptor$ of phentolamine was significantly increased. Chronic piperine-treated group was markedly shown increased efflux of $[^{3}H]-norepinephrine$ and muscular tension, but was not affected the neuronal up-take and release of $[^{3}H]-norepinephrine$. It can be concluded that potentiation of the effect of norepinephrine by acute and chronic piperine treated group may be due to the change of affinity of ${\alpha}_1-adrenoceptor$, and partly due to possible modification of storage mechanism.
