선박파공으로 인한 선박침수 방지를 위한 파공봉쇄장치 성능의 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Performance of Liquid Spill Stopper to Prevent Flood through the Hull Punctures)

  • 이 논문은 파공봉쇄장치(Liquid Spill Stopper) 성능 검증 실험에 대한 문제를 다룬다. 실험을 통해 선체에 파공이 발생한 경우 파공 봉쇄장치를 사용하여 신속하고 효율적으로 대응 및 봉쇄할 수 있는지를 가늠할 수 있다. 이 연구에서 쓰인 방법은 선체의 파공으로 해수가 유입할 때 발생하는 압력에 대한 실험 장치와 선박에 부착한 후 운항 중 분리 속도에 대한 실험이다. 이 논문의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 직경 40mm 및 100mm 파공에서 1.0bar의 압력에도 제 성능을 발휘했다. 둘째, 선체 중앙에서 선미 방향으로 흘수선상 300mm, 흘수선, 흘수선하 300mm에 각각 2개씩 6개의 파공봉쇄장치를 부착한 채 항속을 높이기 시작한 결과, 해군 작전속도(18knots)를 상회하였으며 최초로 선수 흘수선에 부착한 것이 20.2knots에서 분리하였으므로 함정의 작전속도에 지장이 없을 뿐만 아니라 일반 선박의 선체 파공에서도 침수 방지 기능을 제공할 수 있다.

  • 토크 컨버터는 록업 클러치에 의해 엔진으로부터 변속기로 원활하게 동력을 전송하는 데 사용되는 복잡한 터보기계부품이며 유체 클러치 장치와 록업 클러치 장치로 구성된다. 고정 플레이트와 구동 판은 록업 클러치의 일부이며 록업 클러치는 효율과 연료 소비의 개선과 직접적인 관계가 있다. 본 논문에서는, 미케니컬 스토퍼가 장착되어 있는 리테이닝 플레이트의 응력 분포 특성을 분석하였으며. 미케니컬 스토퍼의 형태는 로크 업 클러치의 응력 분포에 영향을 미치는 것을 파악하였다.

극저비속도 원심펌프의 펌프성능 및 흡입성능 향상 (Improvement of Pump Performance and Suction Performance of a Very Low Specific Speed Centrifugal Pump)

  • There are high expectations of improving the performance of a centrifugal pump in the range of very low specific speed which has been developed recently for the use instead of a conventional positive displacement pump. However, even though elaborated studies has been done for the pump intensively, the pump performance has not increased so much. Also, it is difficult to find detailed information from published literatures for suction performance of the very low specific speed centrifugal pump. Therefore, this study is aimed to improve the pump performance more and to make clear suction performance of the very low specific speed centrifugal pump. Recircular flow stopper is installed on the pump casing wall at the region of impeller outlet to improve the pump performance and J-Groove is also installed at the inlet of the pump casing for the purpose of suppressing occurrence of cavitation as well as improving pump performance. The result suggests that the simultaneous improvement of pump performance and suction performance of the very low specific speed centrifugal pump is possible by adopting optimum configuration of the recirculation flow stopper and J-Groove.

A Study on Improvement of a-Si:H TFT Operating Speed

  • The a-Si:H TFTs decreasing parasitic capacitance of source-drain is fabricated on glass. The structure of a-Si:H TFTs is inverted staggered. The gate electrode is formed by patterning with length of $8{\mu}m{\sim}16{\mu}m$ and width of $80{\sim}200{\mu}m$ after depositing with gate electrode (Cr) $1500{\AA}$ under coming 7059 glass substrate. We have fabricated a-SiN:H, conductor, etch-stopper and photoresistor on gate electrode in sequence, respectively. The thickness of these, thin films is formed with a-SiN:H ($2000{\mu}m$), a-Si:H($2000{\mu}m$) and $n^+a-Si:H$ ($500{\mu}m$). We have deposited $n^+a-Si:H$, NPR(Negative Photo Resister) layer after forming pattern of Cr gate electrode by etch-stopper pattern. The NPR layer by inverting pattern of upper gate electrode is patterned and the $n^+a-Si:H$ layer is etched by the NPR pattern. The NPR layer is removed. After Cr layer is deposited and patterned, the source-drain electrode is formed. The a-Si:H TFTs decreasing parasitic capacitance of source-drain show drain current of $8{\mu}A$ at 20 gate voltages, $I_{on}/I_{off}$ ratio of ${\sim}10^8$ and $V_{th}$ of 4 volts.

10 MW급 부유식 해상풍력장치용 패어리드 체인스토퍼의 구조 및 피로 강도 평가 (Structural and Fatigue Strength Evaluation of a Fairlead Chain Stopper for Floating Offshore Wind Turbines)

  • In this study, a structural and fatigue strength evaluation of the Fairlead Chain Stopper (FCS) was performed as a part of the development of a disconnectable mooring system to be applied to 10MW floating offshore wind power generation systems. To estimate the load acting on the FCS, a 10 MW semi-submersible floater was designed using the 10 MW wind turbine developed by Technical University of Denmark(DTU). The minimum breaking load (MBL) of the grade R5 and 147mm mooring chain was applied for the FCS strength analysis. The fatigue load was obtained from the coupled analysis results conducted by a collaborating research institute. The structural and fatigue safety of FCS were evaluated in accordance with DNV codes. From the evaluation results, it was confirmed that the FCS satisfies the structural and fatigue safety requirements.

  • Recently the construction of railway sections passing the central area of cities and stations under railway lines are increasing, and then it is urgently required to take the countermeasures against the railway vibration and the second-phase noise radiated from it. The most efficient countermeasure, out of technologies developed up to now, is the floating slab track which is the track system isolated from the sub-structure by springs. In other countries, the source technologies for anti-vibration design and vibration isolator - one of key components - have been developed and many installation experiences have been accumulated. However, in Korea, since the system design technology and technologies for key components are not yet developed, the foreign system are being introduced without any adjustment, and the key component, vibration isolator, depends on imports. In this study, analysis on floating slab system installed rubber mat and stopper is carried for the examination on the safety of floating slab system.

플로팅 슬래브 궤도의 최대길이 (Maximum Slab Length of Floating Slab Track)

  • Recently, many railway stations are built under the railway line in urban area. The passage of railway vehicles generates mechanical vibrations of a wide range of frequency. Thus, it is required to place structural vibration isolation systems to reduce vibration and noise originating from surrounding environments. This study is to investigate the maximum floating slab length based on track/floating slab interaction analyses. Actions to be taken into account include temperature, braking/acceleration, bending of the deck, and creep/shrinkage. The additional rail stress has been chosen for the criterion for the maximum slab length. In addition, further analyses are performed to include the stopper which restrict the in-plane movement of the floating slab track. Several alternatives for stopper positions were thoroughly studied in this study.

  • This paper presents the preventive measure and the cause for field coils breaking away from the rotor, which lately occurred when No.1 hydro generator was operating in Chung-Ju Dam No.2 Hydro Power Station. In findings, we ascertained the truth of contact between rotor rim and field coils, and think that field coils will break away from the rotor because of mechanical stress according as continuous operation after completion. 1985. Therefore, we conclude that the preventive measure for such a phenomenon is that stopper should be installed between rotor rim and field coils, and bolts should be tightened because of operating characteristic however there are not the design standards for installing stopper in generator rotor internationally.
