ISG 시스템용 고효율 양방향 DC-DC 컨버터의 설계 및 자율적이며 끊김없는 모드전환을 위한 제어전략 (Design and Control Strategy for Autonomous and Seamless Mode Transition of High Efficiency Bidirectional DC-DC Converter for ISG Systems)

  • In this study, a bidirectional DC-DC converter for idle stop and go (ISG) is developed to reduce fuel consumption. A three-phase non-isolated half-bridge converter is selected through a design method by considering efficiency and volume. According to the state of charge of the batteries at both the low-voltage and high-voltage sides, buck mode, which charges a low-voltage battery from the generated motor energy, and boost mode, which provides power to the motor from the low- and high-voltage battery sides, are required in the ISG system. Hence, an autonomous and seamless bidirectional control method using a variable current limiter is proposed for mode change. A 1.8 kW engineering sample of the proposed converter has been built and tested to verify the validity of the proposed concept. The maximum efficiencies, including gate driver and control circuit losses, are 96.4% in charging mode and 96.1% in discharging mode.

지상 LiDAR를 이용한 만리포 해변 정밀 지형측량 및 지형 변화 분석 (Terrestrial LiDAR Measurements and Analysis of Topographical Changes on Malipo Beach)

  • A terrestrial LiDAR was used to acquire precise and high-resolution topographical information of Malipo beach, Korea. Terrestrial LiDAR and RTK-DGPS (VRS) were mounted on top of a survey vehicle and used to scan 20 times stop-and-go method with 250 m spacing intervals at ebb tides. In total, 7 measurements were made periodically from 2008 to 2009 and after each beach replenishment event. We carried out GIS-based 3D spatial analysis such as slope and volume calculations in order to assess topographical changes over time. In relation to beach replenishment, comparative analysis of each volume change revealed them to be similar. This result indicates that the terrestrial LiDAR measurements are accurate and can be used to analyze temporal topographical changes. In conclusion, the methodology employed in this study can be used efficiently to exercise coastal management through monitoring and analyzing beach process such as erosion and deposition.

전동휠체어 주행안전을 위한 3차원 깊이카메라 기반 장애물검출 (3D Depth Camera-based Obstacle Detection in the Active Safety System of an Electric Wheelchair)

  • Obstacle detection is a key feature in the safe driving control of electric wheelchairs. The suggested obstacle detection algorithm was designed to provide obstacle avoidance direction and detect the existence of cliffs. By means of this information, the wheelchair can determine where to steer and whether to stop or go. A 3D depth camera (Microsoft KINECT) is used to scan the 3D point data of the scene, extract information on obstacles, and produce a steering direction for obstacle avoidance. To be specific, ground detection is applied to extract the obstacle candidates from the scanned data and the candidates are projected onto a 2D map. The 2D map provides discretized information of the extracted obstacles to decide on the avoidance direction (left or right) of the wheelchair. As an additional function, cliff detection is developed. By defining the "cliffband," the ratio of the predefined band area and the detected area within the band area, the cliff detection algorithm can decide if a cliff is in front of the wheelchair. Vehicle tests were carried out by applying the algorithm to the electric wheelchair. Additionally, detailed functions of obstacle detection, such as providing avoidance direction and detecting the existence of cliffs, were demonstrated.

인접한 백화점간의 MD현황 비교분석 -서울시내 3개 지역 백화점을 중심으로- (An Analysis of Floor layout and Fashion Brands -Focused on Adjacent Department Stores within 3 Division-)

  • The first purpose of this study was to compare the fashion zones and fashion brands on the floors in small and medium volume department store with those of big department stores within adjacent trading area. The second purpose was to find out similarity and differentiation of near-by department stores. The third one was to propose the future fashion marketing strategies of the department stores. The methods used were references, internet, field observation, and interview in 2002. Eight department stores within adjacent trading area were classified and analysed In "Gangnam division", "Seocho division'. and "Youngdeungpo division". The results were as follows : Firstly, there was a low relationship between the degrees of brand equalization of each department store in the "Gangnam, Seocho. and Youngdeungpo division". Secondly, there was an alteration on the floor layout of each department store. It was layed out in a way that allowed for customers, who wanted to just purchase specific items, to go upstairs and look around several stores, which allowed for not only rise in the amount of sales but also offer the convenience of one stop shopping for the customers. Thirdly I proposed several marketing strategies such as lifestyle marketing, relationship marketing, and compile marketing which solves everyday life agenda. I also proposed the solution selling education to develop service education of salesperson. I finally proposed the overriding priority policy by sales record of each store.licy by sales record of each store.

고속 운전조건을 고려한 하이브리드 자동차용 ISG 모터 방열설계 및 해석 평가 (Thermal Design and Analysis Evaluation of ISG Motor for Hybrid Electric Vehicles considering High-speed Driving Condition)

  • Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) system improves the fuel economy of hybrid electric vehicles by using idle stop and go function, and regenerative braking system. To obtain the high performance and durability of ISG motor under continuously high load condition, the motor needs to properly design the cooling system (cooling fan and cooling structure). In this study, we suggested the enhanced design by modifying the thermal design of the ISG motor and then analyzed the improvement of the cooling performance under high-speed condition and generating mode by CFD simulation. The temperatures at the coil and the magnet of the enhanced model were decreased by about $4^{\circ}C$ and $6^{\circ}C$, respectively, compared to those of the conventional model. Therefore, we verified the cooling performance enhancement of the novel thermal design in the case of core loss increment due to the higher speed condition.

Fluctuation of Solid-Liquid Interface of Faceted Phase and Nonfaceted Phase by Periodic Temperature Variation

  • In order to examine how the solid-liquid interface responds to temperature variation depending on the materials characteristics, i.e. faceted phase or nonfaceted phase, the moving solid-liquid interface of transparent organic material, as a model substance for metallic materials (pivalic acid, camphene, salol, and camphor-50wt% naphthalene) was observed in-situ. Plots of the interface movement distance against time were obtained. The solid-liquid interface of the nonfaceted phase is atomically rough; it migrates in continuous mode, giving smooth curves of the distance-time plot. This is the case for pivalic acid and camphene. It was expected that the faceted phases would show different types of curves of the distance-time plot because of the atomically smooth solid-liquid interface. However, salol (faceted phase) shows a curve of the distance-time plot as smooth as that of the nonfaceted phases. This indicates that the solid-liquid interface of salol migrates as continuously as that of the nonfaceted phases. This is in contrast with the case of naphthalene, one of the faceted phases, for which the solid-liquid interface migrates in "stop and go" mode, giving a stepwise curve of the distance-time plot.

STEREO VISION-BASED FORWARD OBSTACLE DETECTION

  • This paper proposes a stereo vision-based forward obstacle detection and distance measurement method. In general, stereo vision-based obstacle detection methods in automotive applications can be classified into two categories: IPM (Inverse Perspective Mapping)-based and disparity histogram-based. The existing disparity histogram-based method was developed for stop-and-go applications. The proposed method extends the scope of the disparity histogram-based method to highway applications by 1) replacing the fixed rectangular ROI (Region Of Interest) with the traveling lane-based ROI, and 2) replacing the peak detection with a constant threshold with peak detection using the threshold-line and peakness evaluation. In order to increase the true positive rate while decreasing the false positive rate, multiple candidate peaks were generated and then verified by the edge feature correlation method. By testing the proposed method with images captured on the highway, it was shown that the proposed method was able to overcome problems in previous implementations while being applied successfully to highway collision warning/avoidance conditions, In addition, comparisons with laser radar showed that vision sensors with a wider FOV (Field Of View) provided faster responses to cutting-in vehicles. Finally, we integrated the proposed method into a longitudinal collision avoidance system. Experimental results showed that activated braking by risk assessment using the state of the ego-vehicle and measuring the distance to upcoming obstacles could successfully prevent collisions.

  • This paper represents an investigation of the vehicle-to-vehicle distance control system using Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulation(HiLS). Control logic is primarily developed and tested with a specially equipped test vehicle. Establishment of an efficient and low cost development tool is a very important issue, and test vehicle approach is costly and time consuming. HiLS method is useful in the investigation of driver assistance and active safety systems. The HiLS system consists of a stepper motor for throttle control, a hydraulic brake system with an electronic vacuum booster, an electronic controller unit, a data logging computer which are used to save vehicle states and signals of actuator through a CAN and a simulation computer using mathematical vehicle model. Adaptation of a CAN instead of RS-232 Serial Interface for communication is a trend in the automotive industry. Since this environment is the same as a test vehicle, a control logic verified in laboratory can be easily transferred to a test vehicle.

Flag를 가지는 SMMA 적응 블라인드 등화 알고리즘의 성능 분석 (Performance Analysis of SMMA Adaptive Blind Equalization Algorithm with A Flag)

  • 본 논문에서는 고차 QAM 시스템에서 Flag를 가지는 SMMA 적응 블라인드 등화 알고리즘을 제안한다. SMMA는 MMA를 변형하여 다중 contour를 적용함으로써 특성 향상을 얻었으나 여전히 불일치 문제로 인해 정상상태에서의 잔류 오차가 크다는 한계를 가지고 있다. 이러한 정상상태에서의 잔류 오차를 크게 줄이기 위해 우리는 SMMA와 결정지향 알고리즘으로 부터 얻어진 '1' 또는 '0'의 이진 Flag에 의해 제어되는 SMMA를 제안하고, 이 알고리즘에 대한 성능을 분석하였다. 컴퓨터 모의실험을 통하여 제안한 알고리즘이 MMA나 SMMA에 비해 정상상태에서의 잔류 심볼간 간섭과 잔류 오차등에서 크게 향상된 성능을 가짐을 확인하였다.

GPS에 의한 지적측량기준점의 위치해석 (Positioning of Cadastral Control Points Using GPS)

  • 본 연구에서는 지적측량기준점의 위치결정에 GPS측량을 실용화하기 위한 방법 도출에 목적을 두고 국내의 일부지역 내 지적삼각점 및 도근점을 대상으로 GPS측량을 수행하고 좌표변환기법과 GPS기선벡터에 의한 2차원 위치해석, 그리고 GPS와 지상측량데이타의 조합에 의한 위치해석을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 기존 지적측량기준망의 점검 에 GPS측량방법이 매우 효과적임을 알 수 있었으며, GPS기선벡터를 이용한 2차원 위치해석방법은 좌표계 변환을 하지 않고도 국내의 좌표체계에서 적용이 가능하였다. 그리고 지적도근점 위치결정과 같은 소규모 지역에서 행하는 측량에는 신속정지측량 또는 이동측량으로 효율성을 높일 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
