Tribological Characteristics of Ceramic Coated High Power Brake Discs (세라믹 코팅 고에너지 제동 디스크의 트라이볼로지적 특성)

  • Three different kinds of brake discs including two coated brake discs and one steel disc were tested under the same experimental conditions on a reduced scale braking test bench. A braking test bench was specially designed to analyse thermo-mechanical and frictional behaviors of two types of brake with different sizes in stop and hold braking modes. Plasma spray coating technique was also used to coat the discs with ceramic powder. During the test four commercial brake pads were coupled with discs. Ceramic coated discs showed good stability in friction coefficient at high speed and high energy braking conditions. But they caused large wear loss of pad mass compared with the steel disc. It was shown that thermal barrier effect in ceramic coated discs adjusted the thermal partition between pad and disc. For a steel disc. it showed fluctuating friction coefficient at high speed but small wear loss of pad mass compared with ceramic coated discs.

  • IGBT is a power semiconductor device that contains both MOSFET and BJT structures, and it has fast switching speed of MOSFET, high breakdown voltage and high current of BJT characteristics. IGBT is a device that targets the requirements of an ideal power semiconductor device with high breakdown voltage, low VCE-SAT, fast switching speed and high reliability. In this paper, we analyzed Gate oxide thickness, Trench Gate Width, and P+Emitter width, which are the top process parameters of 1,200V Trench Gate Field Stop IGBT, and suggested the optimized top process parameters. Using the Synopsys T-CAD Simulator, we designed IGBT devices with electrical characteristics that has breakdown voltage of 1,470 V, VCE-SAT 2.17 V, Eon 0.361 mJ and Eoff 1.152 mJ.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 사이버 주식투자의 성과를 중심으로 이익 투자자와 손실 투자자로 구분하고 투자자의 행태 변수에 대하여 두 집단간에 어떠한 차이가 있는지를 규명하고자 하는 것이며 나아가 이러한 특성변수들이 투자성과와 어떠한 연관성을 가지는지를 분석하고자 하는 것이다 연구의 결과 두 집단간에 유의적인 차이를 보이면서 투자성과에 보다 큰 영향을 미치는 변수로는 가격하락시의 손절매(stop loss) 사용 빈도, 매수후 해당 종목의 평균 보유기간, 매수후 현금(잔금)보유비율의 정도, 하락시 재매수의 정도, 평균 보유 종목수, 일밀 평균 거래 횟수, 동일 종목에 대한 분할 매수 빈도, 가격 하락시 반응, 평균 확습시간, 손실 발생 원인, 언론에 대한 반응 등이었다.

Overload Reduction Design and Performance Evaluation for Connection Information Audit in ATM Switch (ATM교환기에서 연결 정보에 대한 감사 기능 수행에 따른 부하 경감 방안 및 성능 평가)

  • This paper proposes the overload reduction method for the connection information audit processor in ATM switch. Based on this method, we design the simple IPC exchange method and non-stop auditing method for IPC loss. We evaluate the performance about the proposed Audit method. At the result of evaluation, we figure out that the p개posed audit method reduces the load of call control processor because of a fewer IPC and prevent stopping audit function for IPC loss because of requesting the lost connection information again. Therefore, we confirm that the proposed audit method can reestablish a Mismatched connection information with a little load and elevate correctness about audit function.

Effects of Coupling Capacitance on the Characteristics of Cascaded High Frequency Filter using 3rd Overtone Vibration Mode (3차 진동모드를 이용한 종속 연결된 고주파 필터 특성에 미치는 결합 캐패시턴스의 영향)

  • In this paper, two filters with center frequency of 19.58MHz were cascaded and its bandwidth characteristics were investigated with the variations of coupling capacitance for intermediate frequency (IF) bandpass filter application. The cascaded filter showed the higher stop region, reduction of spurious response and increase of selectivity. With the increase of coupling capacitance, insertion loss was increased but spurious response reduced. The cascaded filter with coupling capacitance of 15pF showed insertion loss of 5.643dB, 3dB bandwidth of 55.089kHz and 20dB bandwidth of 83.608kHz, respectively.

  • A rotational force generator for molten metal is developed using a linear motor design technology. Also, the developed device is applied to reproduce aluminum scraps and easy to control the rotate, stop, and forward and reverse rotation of molten metal. In addition, the developed device improves the melting speed and reproduction rate about 250 (%) and 96-99 (%), respectively, compared to the conventional handmade methods. Because it generates almost no dusts, it can improve working environments in a factory. Also, it has no losses in energy because it directly melts scraps. The device generates small amounts of the loss in refractory materials and aluminum caused by its oxidation because the molten metal is continuously rotated in which the loss and oxidized aluminum are the problems in the conventional melting and holding furnaces. Thus, it is possible to extend the life of furnaces and to produce high quality aluminum products.

  • A simulator had been developed and will be used for reliability verification on turbine control programs for boiler feed pump in power plant prior to its actual operation in field. A mathematical model on thermal dynamics pertaining to prime mover steam turbine and pump was realized and included in this simulator. Also, many design and operating data acquired from fields were utilized in order to decide mechanical and thermal dynamic characteristics such as friction loss windage loss and inertia. A user can decide closing or opening velocity of steam stop valves and steam regulation valves. This simulator is able to generate steam pressure, turbine speed, pump power.

  • Recently, a countermeasure for the electromagnetic noise emission on RF integrated transmission line using the loss generation of ferromagnetic thin films is briefly suggested$\^$1,2/. Without the magnetic film, the noise harmonics of the signal pass through the transmission line with only a little attenuation. The ideal role of magnetic film is not to raise insertion losses in the pass-band and to give as large attenuation as possible to eliminate the noise harmonics at the stop-band, the frequency range higher than the meaningful signal as shown in Fig. 1. and Fig. 2.
