PCS 구조 시스템의 내진 성능 분석 (Experimental Test for Seismic Performance of PCS Structural System)

  • PCS 구조 시스템은 프리캐스트 콘크리트 기둥과 철골보로 이루어진 합성 구조 시스템의 일종이다. 이 시스템은 접합부를 볼트로 연결함으로써 완전건식공법이며 조립식이어서 시공성 및 경제성 면에서 많은 장점을 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 실험체를 구성하는 PC 기둥 및 접합부를 개발하였으며, PCS 구조 시스템의 구조적 특성과 내진 성능을 파악하기 위하여 다양한 실험을 수행하였다. 실험 결과 개발된 PC 기둥은 손상 이후에도 강도 성능을 유지하는 우수함을 보였다. 철골보의 스캘럽은 파괴 모드 조절 및 에너지소산 능력에 효율적인 것으로 나타났으며, 단부 평판으로 구속된 접합부는 그 강도 성능이 매우 우수하였다 타설된 슬래브는 파괴 모드 조절 및 에너지소산 능력에 바람직하지 못한 효과를 보였다. 내진 성능 분석 결과 PCS 구조 시스템은 초기 강성을 제외한 강도 및 강성 저하, 에너지소산 성능의 ACI 기준을 모두 만족하는 것으로 나타났으며 매우 우수한 것으로 분석되었다. 초기 강성의 경우 PCS 구조 시스템은 다른 합성 구조와 비슷한 수준이었으며, 일반콘크리트 및 철골조도 ACI의 기준을 만족하지 못하는 것으로 조사되었다. 이러한 이유는 ACI의 초기 강성 평가 기준이 부분 구조 실험체만으로는 만족하는데 한계가 있기 때문이다. 그러므로 본 연구에서 수행된 PCS 구조 시스템은 내진 성능 및 역학적 성능이 매우 우수한 것으로 판단된다.

  • Evaluating stiffness of near-surface materials has been one of the critically important tasks in many civil engineering works. It is the main goal of geotechnical characterization. The so-called deflection-response method evaluates the stiffness by measuring stress-strain behavior of the materials caused by static or dynamic load. This method, however, evaluates the overall stiffness and the stiffness variation with depth cannot be obtained. Furthermore, evaluation of a large-area geotechnical site by this method can be time-consuming, expensive, and damaging to many surface points of the site. Wave-propagation method, on the other hand, measures seismic velocities at different depths and stiffness profile (stiffness change with depth) can be obtained from the measured velocity data. The stiffness profile is often expressed by shear-wave (S-wave) velocity change with depth because S-wave velocity is proportional to the shear modulus. that is a direct indicator of stiffiiess. The crosshole and downhole method measures the seismic velocity by placing sources and receivers (geophones) at different depths in a borehole. Requirement of borehole installation makes this method also time-consuming, expensive, and damaging to the sites. Spectral-Analysis-of-Surface-Waves (SASW) method places both source and receivers at the surface, and records horizontally-propagating surface waves. Based upon the theory of surfacewave dispersion, the seismic velocities at different depths are calculated by analyzing the recorded surface-wave data. This method can be nondestructive to the sites. However, because only two receivers are used, the method requires multiple measurements with different field setups and, therefore, the method often becomes time-consuming and labor-intensive. Furthermore. the inclusion of noise wavefields cannot be handled properly, and this may cause the results by this method inaccurate. When multi-channel recording method is employed during the measurement of surface-waves, there are several benefits. First, usually single measurement is enough because multiple number (twelve or more) of receivers are used. Second, noise inclusion can be detected by coherency checking on the multi-channel data and handled properly so that it does not decrease the accuracy of the result. Third, various kinds of multi-channel processing techniques can be applied to f1lter unwanted noise wavefields and also to analyze the surface-wavefields more accurately and efficiently. In this way, the accuracy of the result by the method can be significantly improved. Fourth, the entire system of source, receivers, and recording-processing device can be tied into one unit, and the unit can be pulled by a small vehicle, making the survey speed very fast. In all these senses, multi-channel recording of surface waves is best suited for a routine method for geotechnical characterization in most of civil engineering works.

대면적 TFT-LCD 유리기판 이송용 복합재료 로봇 손 개발에 관한 연구 (The Study on the Development of Composite Robot Hand for TFT-LCD Glass Transport)

  • A robot hand is used to transport the glass substrate in TFT-LCD manufacturing process. Carbon/epoxy composite is one of the best materials for this kind of robot hand application, due to their lightweight, high stiffness, and good damping characteristics. Major requirement of the robot hand is given as allowable deflection under weight loading of glass substrate and robot hand itself. In this thesis, a carbon/epoxy robot hand was analyzed using finite element method and beam theory to determine the deflection of the hand under the loading that is equivalent to actual weight. Because natural frequency is one of the major interests in robot hand design for TFT-LCD manufacturing process, modal analysis is also conducted using finite element method and beam theory. A robot hand was manufactured, and actual deflection and natural frequency were measured to verify the analysis results and compliance to requirement. The test results showed good agreement with analysis results.

  • In the semiconductor industry the memory and chip were developed to high density memory and high performance chip, so circuit design was also high integrated and the test bed was needed to be thin and fine pitch socket. LGA(Land Grid Array) IC socket with thin wall thickness was designed to satisfy this requirement. The LGA IC socket plastic part was manufacture by injection molding process, it was needed accuracy, stiffness and suit resin with high flowability. After injection molding process the side gates were needed to remove for further assembly process. ln this study, the cold press cutting process was applied to remove the gates. For design of punch and die, the cold press cutting analysis was implemented by$DEFORM-2D^{TM}$ ln consideration of the simulation results, an adequate punch and die was designed and made for the cutting unit. In order to verify the performance of cutting process, the roughness of cutting section of the part was measured and was satisfied in requirement.

복합하중을 받는 복합소재 중공 토크바 설계 (Development of composite torsion shaft for the aircraft structure under multiple load condition)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 항공기 메커니즘 구조물에 사용되는 금속 소재 토크바를 복합소재를 이용하여 무게절감이 가능한 구조물을 개발 하는것에 있다. 토크바에 주어진 하중조건 및 구조물의 설계 경계조건에 부합하는 유한요소모델을 이용하여 구조해석을 수행 하였다. 이를 바탕으로 최적화된 복합소재의 적층 조건 및 토크바의 두께 요건을 설정하였다. 설계요건에 맞게 제작된 시제품을 이용하여 복합소재 토크바의 비틀림 시험을 실시하였으며, 동구조 시험을 통해서 토크바의 강도 및 강성 요구조건을 만족한다는 것을 증명하였다.

  • 본 연구는 초기 내진설계단에서 프리캐스트 병렬전단벽의 연결보의 필요한 연성도의 간단한 계산방법을 제시한다 프리캐스트 병렬 전단벽의 최상층 변위는 연속체 접근 방법으로 구한 부부과 구한 부분과 분절적으로 나타나는 수평접합부의 개폐로 인한 소성변위의 합으로 나타난다. 이러한 계산을 통해 시스템 레벨의 연성도와 부재 레벨의 연성도의 관계를 구한다 여기서 제안되 연성도 관계식으로부터 연결보의 강성이 증가하거나 강도가 벽체에 비해 작은 경우에는 연결보의 과다한 연성도가 필요하 것으로 나타난다 또한 이러한 연성도는 해당 층의 수평접합부의 개폐정도에 비례함을 보여준다 그러나 고층부의 연결보는 수평접합부 개폐정도에 관계가 적음을 보여준다.

Efficient cross-sectional profiling of built up CFS beams for improved flexural performance

  • In the past, many efficient profiles have been developed for cold-formed steel (CFS) members by judicious intermediate stiffening of the cross-sections, and they have shown improved structural performance over conventional CFS sections. Most of this research work was based on numerical modelling, thus lacking any experimental evidence of the efficiency of these sections. To fulfill this requirement, experimental studies were conducted in this study, on efficient intermediately stiffened CFS sections in flexure, which will result in easy and simple fabrication. Two series of built-up sections, open sections (OS) and box sections (BS), were fabricated and tested under four-point loading with same cross-sectional area. Test strengths, modes of failure, deformed shapes, load vs. mid-span displacements and geometric imperfections were measured and reported. The design strengths were quantified using North American Standards and Indian Standards for cold-formed steel structures. This study confirmed that efficient profiling of CFS sections can improve both the strength and stiffness performance by up to 90%. Closed sections showed better strength performance whereas open sections showed better stiffness performance.

연속합성보의 균열폭 제어와 휨거동 평가 (Crack Width Control and Flexural Behavior of Continuous Composite Beams)

  • 6m-6m의 2경간 연속합성보에 대한 실험적 연구를 수행하였다. 유로코드에서 제시하고 있는 균열폭 제어 규정의 근거를 살펴보고 인장강화 효과를 고려한 균열상태에 따른 균열폭 계산식 유도과정을 제시하였다. 부모멘트 인장을 받는 바닥판의 거동을 초기균열, 안정화 균열로 나누어서 연속합성보의 거동을 평가하였다. 실험결과로부터 연성 기준을 만족하는 최소철근비는 현재 도로교설계기준보다 낮춰도 될 것으로 판단된다. 균열을 일으킨 연속합성보의 휨강성 평가에서는 안정화균열 이전단계까지는 비균열단면으로 보는 것이 적절하다. 인장철근의 응력과 균열폭의 관계식을 실험결과를 이용하여 제시하였다.

고진공 다이캐스팅 공법 적용한 알루미늄 서브프레임 개발 (Front Aluminum Subframe of High Level Vacuum Die-casting)

  • The subframe has been generally manufactured by using stamped steel material. Recently, automotive designers are considering aluminum as lightweight material. This paper describes the development process of an aluminum subframe which is made by high level vacuum die casting process, which is beneficial for minimizing gas contents and material properties. The weight of manufactured subframe is reduced by 4kg with the comparison of steel subframe. The aluminum subframe is packaged for the current vehicle layout and the imposed requirement is to attain a better structural performance that is evaluated in terms of mounting stiffness, noise and vibration, and endurance performance. The NVH evaluation results show that sound level is decreased by 8dB with the help of high roll-rod mounting stiffness as well as high structural modes.

Evaluation of Edgewise Compressive Strength of Corrugated Fiberboard with Microflute

  • Corrugated fiberboard is a representative packaging material because of high compressive strength and stiffness in spite of light weight. The flutes of corrugated fiberboard are various depending on the height and the number per unit length of flute. The corrugated fiberboard with microflute like E, F or G with low height less than 1.5 mm has developed. Because it has some advantages including higher stiffness and lower requirement of fiber than carton board, it has a possibility to replace folding box board. Its consumption has been increased with the various applications like graphic packaging. As microflute has the different geometry from other conventional flutes, it can show the different behavior in testing and it may require a new testing method. In this study, we evaluated the edgewise compressive strength of the corrugated fiberboard with microflute according to ISO and other standard test methods. And the effect of specimen shape and platen compression rate was examined. From this study, we found that ISO methods was suitable and reasonable methods for corrugated fiberboard with microflute.
