에폭시 수지를 이용한 아스팔트 혼합물의 강상판 적용성 평가 (Field Application of Epoxy Asphalt Mixture for Steel Bridge Deck)

  • 본 연구에서는 현재 일본에서 개발되어 적용되고 있는 고형화 에폭시 수지를 이용한 아스팔트 혼합물의 국내 강상판 적용성을 평가 하고자 하였다. 다양한 문헌조사를 통한 고형화 에폭시 아스팔트 혼합물의 특성을 파악한 후, 배합설계 와 혼합물 평가를 실시하였다. 그 결과 강상판에 적용되는 다른 재래식 혼합물에 비하여 성능이 월등함을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 3D 유한 요소 해석을 수행한 결과 에폭시 아스팔트가 시공 시 충분한 공용성능을 보이는 것으로 판단되어 국내에서 일반적으로 사용되고 있는 배치식 플랜트 통해 고형화 에폭시 아스팔트 혼합물 생산 후 시험시공을 실시하였다. 시공 후 공용성을 평가하기 위해 BPT 실험을 한 결과 포장의 표면은 기준이상의 마찰력을 나타내는 것을 알 수 있었다.

알루미늄 합금 소실모형주조 시의 주형충전재에 따른 특성변화 (Investigation on Characteristics of Various Mold Packing Materials in Lost Foam Casting of Aluminum Alloy)

  • Silica sand, zircon sand, and steel shots were used as mold packing materials in lost foam casting of the aluminum alloy bar. Vibration acceleration in three directions and temperatures in the casting and mold were measured, and packing and cooling characteristics of these materials were investigated. Packing densities increased with increase in vibration magnitude and time, and were $1.41{\sim}1.49g/cm^2$ for silica sand, $2.54{\sim}2.86g/cm^2$ for zircon sand, and $3.92{\sim}4.52g/cm^2$ for steel shots. Sound castings were obtained only without evacuation of the flask during pouring. Solidification time became faster in order of silica sand, zircon sand and steel shot packing because steel shot has the highest cooling capacity of them. Solidification time of steel shot packing was shortened to about 1/2 of silica sand packing. Cooling capacity of sand mold was generally evaluated by heat diffusivity of the mold, however could be simply evaluated with specific heat per unit volume of the packing material in lost foam casting.

공구강의 고온 변형 거동 예측을 위한 모델 비교 연구 (Comparison Study of Prediction Models for Hot Deformation Behavior of Tool Steel)

  • High temperature flow behaviors of Fe-Cr-Mo-V-W-C tool steel were investigated using isothermal compression tests on a Gleeble simulator. The compressive test temperature was varied from 850 to $1,150^{\circ}C$ with the strain rate ranges of 0.05 and $10s^{-1}$. The maximum height reduction was 45%. The dynamic softening related to the dynamic recrystallization was observed during hot deformation. The constitutive model based on Arrhenius-typed equation with the Zener-Hollomon parameter was proposed to simulate the hot deformation behavior of Fe-Cr-Mo-V-W-C steel. An artificial neural network (ANN) model was also developed to compare with the constitutive model. It was concluded that the ANN model showed more accurate prediction compared with the constitutive model for describing the hot compressive behavior of Fe-Cr-Mo-V-W-C steel.

  • 최근 들어 경제성장과 산업의 발달로 사회기반시설 및 주거시설 등의 건설이 활발히 이루어지면서 콘크리트용 골재의 사용량이 급증하고 있다. 그러나 천연골재는 점차 고갈되고 그 채취에 대한 엄격한 환경적인 규제 때문에 골재의 부족이 건설분야의 큰 문제로 대두되고 있어 이를 대체할 수 있는 대체재의 개발이 시급한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 철강생산 과정에서 부산물로 발생되는 제강슬래그를 잔골재의 대체재로 활용하기 위하여 유리석회를 대폭 감소시킨 급냉제강슬래그를 잔골재로 활용한 콘크리트의 물성 및 역학적 시험결과를 비교 고찰하여 그 활용 가능성과 적정대체율을 규명하였다.

Different strengthening designs and material properties on bending behavior of externally reinforced concrete slab

  • This study investigates the bending behavior of a composite concrete slab roof with different methods of externally strengthing using steel plates and carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) strips. First, the concrete slab model which was reinforced with CFRP strips on the bottom surface of it is validated using experimental data, and then, using numerical modeling, 7 different models of square-shaped composite slab roofs are developed in ABAQUS software using the finite element modeling. Developed models include steel rebar reinforced concrete slab with variable thickness of CFRP and steel plates. Considering the control sample which has no external reinforcement, a set of 8 different reinforcement states has been investigated. Each of these 8 states is examined with 6 different uncertainties in terms of the properties of the materials in the construction of concrete slabs, which make 48 numerical models. In all models loading process is continued until complete failure occurs. The results from numerical investigations showed using the steel plates as an executive method for strengthening, the bending capacity of reinforced concrete slabs is increased in the ultimate bearing capacity of the slab by about 1.69 to 2.48 times. Also using CFRP strips, the increases in ultimate bearing capacity of the slab were about 1.61 to 2.36 times in different models with different material uncertainties.

  • The following results are achieved from a mortar flow test depending on stainless steel slag fineness, replacement ratio, and a research on material age compressive strength, strength activity index. 1. Flow is proportional to the stainless steel slag fineness within the limits of 4000~8000$\textrm{cm}^2$/g, but in the case of fineness 20000$\textrm{cm}^2$/g flow decreases at all conditions except the case of replacement ratio 10%. 2. As stainless steel slag replacement ratio increases, Mortar of flow somewhat decreases. 3. As stainless steel slag blends, compressive strength decreases, but in proportion to the increase of age, compressive strength increases. 4. As stainless steel slag replacement ratio, compressive strength decreases. 5. In the case of stainless steel slag fineness 6000$\textrm{cm}^2$/g and 20.000$\textrm{cm}^2$/g, compressive strength of revelation ratio has the maximum value when it's replacement ratio is 10%.

  • There are kinds of materials for protective heat shield, i.e.Zn-coated steel, AI-coated steel and aluminum alloy sheets. This study compare formability, corrosion resistance, heat protectability, weight, and cost of these materials for heat protective shield. Generally aluminum alloy sheets are less formable than steel sheets, but A1100 alloy sheet shows almost same press quality of steel parts, using the press dies which producing steel parts. The heat shields using aluminum alloy sheet and steel sheet show almost same heat protectibility. It is the conclusion that Zn-coated merit, and AI-coated steel sheet and aluminum alloy sheet can be used to protect functional corrosion in severely corrosive market area. The material cost of AI-coated steel sheet and aluminum alloy sheet for a mid-size car is almost same, so aluminum alloy sheet is more recommendable in the point of weight reduction of vehicle.

고합금강과 오스테나이트 스테인레스 강의 저사이클 피로 특성 연구 (Study on Characteristics of Low Cycle Fatigue for High Alloy and Austenite Stainless Steel)

  • As the steam temperature of fossil power plant boiler is increasing, the use of 9Cr-1Mo high alloy material is prevalent and it is needed to investigate the characteristics of low cycle fatigue for high alloy and austenite stainless steel that has used up to recently. As a result of test, in 9Cr-1Mo high alloy steel, the relation of strain and fatigue life is non-linear and the crack mode of low cycle fatigue is brittle but in the austenite stainless steel, that of strain and fatigue life is linear and the crack mode of low cycle fatigue is ductile. Comparing the fatigue life between high alloy and austenite stainless steel, there is no consistent characteristics as to strains. But the fatigue life of 9Cr-1Mo steel is longer by 25% than that of STS304 stainless steel in the relatively low, 0.3% strain. In the other strain, the fatigue life of two materials is similar.

Performance of Hot-dip Zn-6%Al-3%Mg Alloy Coated Steel Sheet as Automotive Body Material

  • For the purpose of applying a hot-dip Zn-6mass%Al-3mass%Mg alloy coated steel sheet (ZAM) to automotive body materials, a laboratory study of the general properties required for inner and outer panels of automotive bodies was performed. Even with only light coating weight, ZAM showed an excellent corrosion resistance in terms of both cosmetic and perforation corrosion compared to the currently used materials for automotive bodies, GI70 and GA45. In our study, it was confirmed that ZAM exhibits as good as or better properties than GI70 in terms of spot weldability and press formability. Furthermore, since the same corrosion resistance can be achieved with less coating weight by applying ZAM, laser weldability is better than GI and GA.

  • On processing of the shipbuilding, Various steel plates are used as the important material in many fields including the shell plate, a structure, etc. Therefore, the proper steel plate management system like a warehousing, pile, delivery is very important. Presently Operators manage the steel plate by using the software program, but they manage many parts manually, so many problems are generated on the steel plate check, management, and operator safety. In order to solve this problem, we developed Auto Steel-Plate Piling System. Also this system automatically manages and traces the steel-plate from warehousing to delivery.
