  • The purpose of this study was to compare the quality of life (QOL) between breast cancer patients with lymphedema and without using the SF-36 (Korean version). Fifty-three consecutive, unselected patients who underwent treatment for breast cancer patients with lymphedema and 37 patients without lymphedema from August 4, 2004 to October 13, 2005 were interviewed and asked to complete the SF-36. These data were used to test the hypothesis that breast cancer patients with lymphedema experience impaired quality of life relative to their control group. The lymphedema group scored poorer than the control group on six of the eight subscales as well as the physical component summary scale of the SF-36 (p<.05). Only bodily pain didn't show statistical difference (p>.05). Breast cancer patients with lymphedema appear to experience problems in multiple quality of life domains compared with without lymphedema group. These findings demonstrate the need for interventions to improve the quality of life in breast cancer patients with lymphedema.

  • For the present study two sets of artificially unbalanced data of being $n_{ij}>0$ and ${n_{1j}}{/geq}0$ were used. The Hypotheses that are commonly used in ANOVA were examined by computing the sums of squares associated with the hypotheses under various postulated models, using Searle's R($\mid$)-notation.

  • Data missing in optical satellite images caused by natural variations have been a crucial barrier in observing the status of marine surfaces. Although there have been many attempts to fill the gaps of non-observation, there is little research to analyze the ratio of missing grids to overall sea grids and their seasonal patterns. This report introduces the method of quantifying the distribution of missing points and then shows how the missing points have spatial correlation and seasonal trends. Both temporal and spatial integration methods are compared to assess the effectiveness of reducing missing data. The temporal integration shows more outstanding performance than the spatial integration. Moran's I and K-function with statistical hypothesis testing show that missing grids are clustered and there is a non-random distribution from daily integration. The result of the seasonality test for Moran's I through a periodogram shows dependency on full-year, half-year, and quarter-year periods respectively. These analysis results can be used to deduce appropriate integration periods with permissible estimation errors.

  • The purpose of this paper is to divide franchise education and restaurant education programs into three factors: educational content, educational techniques, and educational environment. After completing the franchise curriculum, we will identify what educational programs affect corporate performance and CEO's capabilities. A total of 99 copies were used as statistical analysis data by conducting a survey of those who completed the training from May 01 to May 15, 2023. The survey used the Likert 5-point scale, and for data analysis, hypothesis verification was conducted using frequency analysis, demographic analysis, and reliability analysis using SPSS23. As a result, it was confirmed that all three factors of franchise education are factors that affect performance and competency. Therefore, among franchise education programs, it is necessary to be faithful to the contents of education, use appropriate educational techniques, and prepare an educational environment well.

  • The purpose of this study is to empirically grasp the relationship between website immersion and website attitude by the attribute factors of the Taekwondo information website and provide it as basic data for effective operation of the Taekwondo information website. The subjects of this study were Taekwondo athletes enrolled in high schools and universities affiliated with the Korean Taekwondo Association, and the sampling method was sampled using the convient sampling method, a non-probability sampling method. Of the 820 questionnaires finally obtained, 789 were processed using PASW Statistics 20.0 and AMOS, except for 31 that were deemed to have poor respondents' contents or were not valuable as data. For data analysis, the statistical analysis techniques used in this study were frequency analysis, factor analysis, Cronbach's α test, correlation analysis, and structural equation model analysis (SEM), and the significance level of the research hypothesis was α=.It was verified at 05. The following conclusions were drawn through such research methods and procedures. First, information, entertainment, structure, cognition, searchability, and connectivity of Taekwondo information website attributes affect website immersion. Second, website immersion is affecting website attitudes.

  • Studying at a modern university involves using modern methods and the latest advances in science and education, which applies to Ukraine and all higher education institutions in Europe, determining the relevance of the study and its international significance. The study aims to analyze and implement effective and innovative practices that can be used in integrated educational programs, which include interactive work in education at the European level. The use of general scientific approaches, such as theoretical, statistical, and empirical, allows achieving the set goals. The central hypothesis of the research is the presentation of the best pedagogical practices in the educational program, which includes interactive and universal. The results of the study prove the effectiveness of interactive training. Future research is devoted to developing new pedagogical practices and the development of algorithms for their implementation.

  • Six sigma is the rating that signifies "best in clas", with only 3.4 defects per million units or operations. Higher sigma quality level is generally perceived by customers as improved performance by assigning a correspondingly higher satisfaction score. The process capability indices and the sigma level $Z_{st}$ have been widely used in six sigma industries to assess process performance. Most evaluations on process capability indices focus on point estimates, which may result in unreliable assessments of process performance. In this paper, we consider statistical inference for process capability indices $C_p$, $C_{pk}$ and $C_{pm}$. Also, we study better testing procedure on assessing sigma level $Z_{st}$ and capability index $C_{pm}$, for practitioners to use in determining whether a given process is capable. The proposed method is easy to use and the decision making is more reliable. Whether a process is clearly normal or nonnormal, our bootstrap testing procedure could be applied effectively without the complexity of calculation. A numerical result based on our proposed method is illustrated.

  • This paper mainly focuses on comparison analysis of the quality factors targeted at one shopping mall web site in Korea and China. There are a total of 14 hypothesis, and we use the SAS 9.2 statistical package tool. The survey to verify those hypothesis is filled out by 519 voluntary participants. The following describes the results that are found. The shopping mall web site of two countries shows a difference in terms of design, communication, community, commercialization, security, customer satisfaction, repurchase intention, contents, e-commerce, customer loyalty, interaction, technology, reliability, and size. Therefore, we suggest how to implement more effective shopping mall websites based on those 14 factors.

  • The organic foods is the terminology calling the organic products, the organic livestock and the organic processing food. The value of organic food may be evaluated as the index of the nutrient content, the safety and the health promotion. The reason why consumers prefer the organic food in the market is because the value of health promotion to be obtained through its consumption is expected to be bigger than the expense according to the purchase of organic food. This study has the significance in developing the direct evaluation model like the human biomonitoring method. The hypothesis for this study is summarized, "If the metabolome of metabolic syndrome of decreases, the exposure of substance of health harm decreases, the number of hospital care decreases and the quality of life shall be improved if the organic food is incepted in the long term and the health care is managed well". The consumer's cooperative and the health consumer's cooperative select the experimental group of 100 persons and the comparative group of 100 persons in 5 areas in the whole country at the same time to verify this hypothesis. Its rate of change is compared and analyzed by measuring the blood and urine of each biomarkers such as the exposed agriculture pesticides, the nitrate in the body at intervals of 2 months for 1 year. Also, by letting participants in the experiment record the major activity such as the dietary intake and the exercise, etc., in the questionnaire and the performance evaluation form, the statistical analysis for the correlation of this with the metabolome, etc., is conducted. The time that is called minimum 1 year and a lot of expense are required to implement this model. Accordingly, the cooperative study by composing the consortium of the interdisciplinary and the interagency is desirable.
