The motion features of sanals inside of the primo vascular system (PVS), that is so-called the Kyungrak system, are investigated under a low static magnetic field by using the anatomy technology and optical microscope. The sanals with a size of about 1 selected and separated from the primo vessel and node of the real PVS inside of the surface of the internal organs are observed from rabbits' abdominal wall and dipped with PBS liquid inside of petri dish. The sanal's moving velocity along the direction of magnetic field (xdirection) and perpendicular to the direction of magnetic field (y-direction) under the low magnetic field of 0 Oe, 20 Oe, 40 Oe, 60 Oe, and 80 Oe, respectively, is observed below a internal temperature of $38^{\circ}C$. Ten sanals' moving velocities versus magnetic field are shown two differently dominant tendencies with an average velocity of 0.9 pixel/s and a random velocity according to the x-direction and y-direction, respectively. This experimental results imply that the rotating motion of sanal with nuclei DNA composed of many inorganic magnetic materials of Mn and Co is monotonically weakened by the increase of applied magnetic field.
This model is proposed to describe the buckling behavior of Carbon Nanotubes (CNTs) embedded in an elastic medium taking into account the combined effects of the magnetic field, the temperature, the nonlocal parameter, the number of walls. Using Eringen's nonlocal elasticity theory, thin cylindrical shell theory and Van der Waal force (VdW) interactions, we develop a system of partial differential equations governing the buckling response of CNTs embedded on Winkler, Pasternak, and Kerr foundations in a thermal-magnetic environment. The pre-buckling stresses are obtained by applying airy's stress function and an adjacent equilibrium criterion. To estimate the nonlocal critical buckling load of CNTs under the simultaneous effects of the magnetic field, the temperature change, and the number of walls, an optimization technique is proposed. Furthermore, analytical formulas are developed to obtain the buckling behavior of SWCNTs embedded in an elastic medium without taking into account the effects of the nonlocal parameter. These formulas take into account VdW interactions between adjacent tubes and the effect of terms involving differences in tube radii generally neglected in the derived expressions of the critical buckling load published in the literature. Most scientific research on modeling the effects of magnetic fields is based on beam theories, this motivation pushes me to develop a cylindrical shell model for studying the effect of the magnetic field on the static behavior of CNTs. The results show that the magnetic field has significant effects on the static behavior of CNTs and can lead to slow buckling. On the other hand, thermal effects reduce the critical buckling load. The findings in this work can help us design of CNTs for various applications (e.g. structural, electrical, mechanical and biological applications) in a thermal and magnetic environment.

As the technologies such as middle-range resonant WPT (wireless power transfer) advance that utilizes medium and low-frequency magnetic field, the importance of safety of such magnetic field is growing. The research on the effect of electromagnetic field on the human body has been mainly done on the GHz range of mobile phones, or 50~60Hz range of electric power systems. However, there has been relatively few works on the 100kHz~10MHz range used in the resonant wireless power transfer. Since there is a difference in the limiting value of magnetic field between widely used ICNIRP EMF guideline and IEEE C95.1 standard, there can be possible confusion when establishing EMF (Electromagnetic Field) standard on the wireless power transfer device in the future. In this paper, the induced current in the human body, which is the basic restriction of the EMF guideline, is calculated using Quasi-static FDTD method when 3D high-resolution human model is exposed to the 100kHz~10MHz magnetic field. Using this result, the feasibility of the magnetic field reference level in the ICNIRP guideline is analyzed.
By using the ac field source which can change the applied field magnitude, frequency and dc offset field, the dynamic magnetoresistance characteristics of permalloy based multilayers which have different R-H(resistance-magnetic field) curves were monitored and compared with static magnetoresistance curves that were measured with electromagnet of VSM. Output of each sample according to the external field strength was identified and optimum bias position could be obtained.

When strong static magnetic field is applied to the TMP, it is expected that the presence of the magnetic field might retard the velocity of the blades which results in the change of the pumping speed of the TMP. However, such effect of the magnetic field on the TMP has not been well characterized. Thus, under the strong magnetic field, monitoring pumping speed as well as generated heat, pressure, and vibration of the TMP may be an important issue to understand the magnetic field tolerance of the TMP and the development of magnetic shielding technique for the key components of the pump. For this purpose, magnetic field generation system to the vertical direction by a circular current source was firstly designed and suggested [K. Baik et al., 44th Annual Conf. KVS, 22(1), 153, (2012)]. In the current study, another magnetic field generation systems are presented to apply the magnetic field to the horizontal and radial directions by the rectangular current sources and the permanent magnets respectively. Such systems were made to generate at least 50 Gauss of magnetic field along the vertical direction and at least 25 Gauss of magnetic field along the horizontal or radial direction. Current study introduces the evaluation system of the magnetic field along the vertical, horizontal, and radial directions and presents the measured experimental results of the magnetic field when such systems are combined with the equipment where TMP will be installed.

Acute effects of locally applied of static magnetic field (SMF) and extremely low frequency electromagnetic field(ELF-EMF) to the cutaneous tissue within a rabbit ear chamber (REC)were evaluated under conscious conditions. Rabbits with the REC were subjected to intravital microscopical investigation by use of microphotoelectric plethysmography(MPPG). There was no dose-response relationship between the extent of vasomotion changes and frequencies(0,20,50, 100Hz)or power levels (1, 5, 10, 25, 50, 100, 200 mT). Under low vascular tone the both fields induce vasodilatation. The effects of SMF (1 mT) on the cutaneous microcirculatory system induced the vasodilatation with enhanced vasomotion under nor-adrenaline-induced high vascular tone as well as the vasoconstriction with reduced vasomotion under acetylcholine-induced low vascular tone. This suggests that the SMF can modulate vascular tone due to the modification of vasomotion biphasically in the cutaneous tissue.
An experimental study is presented for the characteristics of the high temperature superconductor as an application of the repulsive type magnetic bearing. A ring shaped YBCO type superconductor and Neodium permanent magnets are employed for the experiment. For the case of field cooling, superconductor shows strong repulsive force, which is due to the Meissner effect, as the gap between the superconductor and the magnet gets closer. The repulsive force variation with respect to the gap change shows hysterisis characteristics. The area of the loop of the hysterisis curve represents the dissipation of energy, which reveals that the magnetic bearing with superconductor has large damping. The effect of the initial gap and the magnetic flux density on the repulsive force is analyzed experimentally and the static stiffness variation is calculated from the measured repulsive force variation. The relative sliding velocity between the superconductor and the magnet has little effect on the repulsive force which is quite different from the usual sliding element bearing. As the initial gap for the field cooling becomes larger, the maximum repulsive force at the minimum gap increases and approaches to the value for the case of zero field cooling.

It is well known that the accurate calculation of the field distribution is essential for the design of electrical machines. The analytical techniques for electromagnetic field can quickly and exactly determine airgap magnetic field distribution in electrical machines. Many analytical techniques have been investigated to predict the magnetic field distribution in PM machines equipped with permanent magnets. Using the analytical technique by transfer relations, D. L. Trumper and K. R. Davey already presented the design and analysis of linear permanent-magnet machines and induction machines, respectively. Using the transfer relations (Melcher's general methodology) to describe electromagnetic phenomena, this paper deals with the analysis on the magnetic field distribution due to PM and winding current, the induced voltage and the static torque characteristics in surface-mounted slotless type permanent magnet machine. The validity of the analysis results is confirmed by finite element (FE) analysis.

The demand of high speed machining is increasing due to the high speed cutting and grinding provides high efficiency of process, short process time, improved metal removal capacity and better surface finish. Active magnetic bearings allow much high surface speed than conventional ball bearings and therefore greatly suitable for high speed cutting or grinding. This paper describes a design process of an active magnetic bearing system for a high speed grinding spindle with power 5.5kW and maximum speed 60,000rpm. Magnetic actuators are designed by the magnetic circuit theory considering static load condition, and examined with FEM analysis. Dynamic characteristics are also considered, such as bandwidth, stiffness, natural frequency and static deflection. System characteristics are simulated with a rigid rotor model.

This paper studied on the influence of naval vessel shape on vertical magnetic field after the vessel was demagnetized. The triangular shape, the rectangular shape and circular shape were adaped from vessel's structual drawings. Magneto-static FEM analysis was performed to obtain the iduced magnetic field due to earth magnetic field for those shapes. During demagnetization process, magnetic field of residual magnetization was observed. The holizontal and vertical magnetic field were calculated depending on vertical bias magnetic field through magnetc component seperation. To demagnetize naval vessel ship, demagnetizing coils shoud be wound more finely in the vow and stern of the ship than it should be in the mid-part of the ship.
