알루미늄 철도차량 차체 용접부의 강도 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Strength Characteristics of Welded Joints in Aluminum Carbody of Rolling Stock)

  • In this paper, static and fatigue load tests for the specimens, components and carbody were carried out to investigate the strength of welded joints in aluminum rolling stock. Tensile test results showed that the static strength of welded joint for the heat-treated alloy is reduced significantly and fatigue strength data are scattered by the welding imperfections. Component and whole carbody fatigue test results showed agreements with the design fatigue strength standards for specimens of the same joint detail. Test results revealed that full penetration welding and strict management of welding procedure are crucial for securing the strength of welded joint in aluminum carbody.

이암지역에 근입된 PRD강관말뚝의 지지력 보강 (Reinforcement for Bearing Capacity of PRD Steel Pile at Mudstone Area)

  • The cut slope sliding which has been frequently encountered in Pohang area has been reported due to the rapid reduction of shear strength in mudstone after being exposed to the air. Mudstone has characteristics that it has high enough strength and stiffness in a dry condition, but the strength and stiffness decrease in a wet condition with groundwater infiltration. The case study in this paper shows that mudstone which had enough strength in a boring stage has lost the strength after installing PRD steel pipe pile inducing an insufficient bearing capacity, which has been ascertained by the static load test. Test construction has been performed to investigate the most favorable method for increasing a pile bearing capacity in mudstone with various methods such as MSG (Micro Silica Grouting) around the tip and side of a pile, the perimeter grouting combined with Micro pile reinforcement, and concrete filling after tip reinforcing grouting. From the test construction, MSG has been turned out to be the most favorable method for increasing a pile bearing capacity in mudstone, which has been confirmed by the static load test.

  • 본 연구에서는 알루미늄 허니컴 코어와 카본 면재가 적용된 샌드위치 복합재 구조에 대해 준정적 압입 손상 이후의 잔류 강도 평가에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 3점 굽힘 시험과 압축 시험을 통해 시편의 강도를 확인하고 시편에 손상을 모사하기 위하여 준정적 압입 손상을 가하였다. 손상된 시편을 손상 전 시편과 동일한 시험을 통해 손상 전의 강도와 비교하였다. 압입 손상 이후 압축 강도와 굽힘 강도는 압입 깊이의 증가에 따라 강도가 감소하였고 손상 단계에 따른 잔류 강도 정도를 확인하였다.

  • KSLV-I의 위성 어댑터의 구조 형식으로 결정된 세미 모노코크 형식의 잘려진 원뿔형 구조체를 제작하고, 정적 구조 시험을 수행하였다. 설계 하중에 따라 순수 압축, 순수 굽힘, 순수 전단, 복합 하중을 가하여 변형률 및 변위를 측정하고, 구조의 건전성을 확인하였다. 최종적으로 파괴 시험을 수행하여, 국부 좌굴 모드 및 파괴 형상을 관찰하였으며, 파괴하중 및 모드를 유한 요소법으로 해석하여 비교한 결과 정확한 파괴 하중의 예측이 가능하였다.

  • In this study, static end loading tests with load transfer measurement were accomplished for large diameter drilled shaft constructed in fault zone. Yield pile capacity (or ultimate pile capacity) from load-settlement curve was determined and axial load transfer behavior was measurd. The end bearing capacity was increased 2 times due to grouting the toe ground under pile base.

  • 이 연구에서는 프리스트레스 도입량과 부재 크기가 다른 두 타입의 강합성형 벽체파일 시험체에 대한 정적 휨시험을 수행하고 구조적 안전성을 검증하였다. 실험결과, 시험체 모두 균열하중의 1.8배의 하중에서 파괴되었고, 하중 증가에 따른 중립축의 이동을 확인하였다.

Wind load effects and equivalent static wind loads of three-tower connected tall buildings based on wind tunnel tests

  • Due to the significant aerodynamic interference from sub-towers and surrounding tall buildings, the wind loads and dynamic responses on main tower of three-tower connected tall building typically change especially compared with those on the isolated single tall building. This paper addresses the wind load effects and equivalent static wind loads (ESWLs) of three-tower connected tall building based on measured synchronous surface pressures in a wind tunnel. The variations of the global shape coefficients and extremum wind loads of main tower structure with or without interference effect under different wind directions are studied, pointing out the deficiency of the traditional wind loads based on the load codes for the three-tower connected tall building. The ESWLs calculation method based on elastic restoring forces is proposed, which completely contains the quasi-static item, inertia item and the coupled effect between them. Then the wind-induced displacement and acceleration responses for main tower of three-tower connected tall building in the horizontal and torsional directions are investigated, subsequently the structural basal and floor ESWLs under different return periods, wind directions and damping ratios are studied. Finally, the action mechanism of interference effect on structural wind effects is investigated. Main conclusions can provide a sientific basis for the wind-resistant design of such three-tower connected tall building.

Time Dependent Extension and Failure Analysis of Structural Adhesive Assemblies Under Static Load Conditions

  • The objective of the current study is to characterize the long-term stability and efficacy of a structural adhesive assembly under static load. An apparatus was designed to be used in the Instron tensile test machine that would allow for real time modeling of the failure characteristics of an assembly utilizing a moisture- cure adhesive which was bonded to concrete. A regression model was developed that followed a linear - natural log function which was used to predict the expected life of the assembly. Evaluations at different curing times confirmed the structure was more robust with longer cure durations prior to loading. Finally, the results show that under the conditions the assembly was tested, there was only a small amount of inelastic creep and the regression models demonstrated the potential for a stable structure lasting several decades.

PAR에 의한 강관 말뚝의 극한 수직 및 수평 지지력 예측 (Prediction on Ultimate Vertical and Horizontal Bearing Capacity of Steel Pipe Piles by Means of PAR)

  • 말뚝 해석 프로그램인 PAR에 의하여 말뚝의 극한 수직 및 수평 지지력을 예측할 수 있는 방법을 제안하였으며,현장에서 수행된 말뚝재하시험 결과들을 이용하여 PAR에 의한 사례연구를 수행하였다. PAR에 의해 해석된 말뚝의 극한지지력은 정재하시험에서 구한 지지력에 대하여 약 15%이내의 오차범위에 들었다. 또한, 강관말뚝들에 수행된 정재하시헙, 정.동재하시험 그리고 PDA 결과들을 비교하였으며, PAR에 의해 극한지지력을 예측하였다. PAR을 이용하면 말뚝의 축방향 하중의 분포를 예측할 수 있었으며, 여기서, 하중전이해석도 근사적으로 수행할 수 있었다.

  • This paper describes the results of structure analysis and load test of a bogie frame. The purpose of the test is to evaluate the safety and functionality of the bogie frame under maximum load. The bogie system consist of the bogie frame, suspensions, whee/sets, a brake system and a transmission system. Of these components, the bogie frame is the major component subjected to the vehicle and passenger loads. The evaluation method used the JIS E 4207 specifications throughout static load test. The test results have shown the bogie frame to be safe under design load conditions.
