가스포일 저널베어링 및 스러스트베어링의 성능해석 (Performance Analysis of Gas Foil Journal & Thrust Bearings)

  • This paper presents a performance analysis model of corrugated bump foil bearings. The analyses for not only 1st generation bump foil journal bearings but also bump foil thrust bearings are performed. Static performances such as load capacity, attitude angle, pressure distribution, foil deflection, and film thickness are accurately estimated by using soft elasto-hydrodynamic analysis technique and finite difference numerical method. Also dynamic performances such as stiffness coefficients and damping coefficients are estimated by perturbation method. The analysis technique may be appliable to rotordynamic analysis, stability analysis, and optimized bearing design.

  • The thermohydrodynamic analysis of tilting pad thrust bearing is studied with the consideration of elastic effect of pad. Reynolds equation, deflection equation and energy equation are solved simultaneously with the boundary conditions. Reynolds equation is modified as the approximate form. Pads are supported by the line pivot and the point pivot respectively. Pads are considered as the flat planes. Effects of pad thickness on the performance of thrust bearing are emphasized and the performances of rigid pad and elastic pad are compared. Effects of inlet temperature on performances of the bearing are compared. Dynamic characteristics of both pad supported by line and point pivot are compared.

  • The Rate-of-Loading(ROL) effect of motor operated gate valves causes a decrease in the thrust delivered at a specific torque by the actuator under dynamic flow ${\Delta}$P conditions as compared to the no-flow, static conditions. This effect needs to be studied for the quantitative evaluation of motor operated gate valve operability. This study is performed to verify the validity for the application of ROL in the evaluation of operability of motor operated gate valves for the opening stroke. The ROL is assessed on the basis of in-situ test data for the opening and closing strokes. The results show that the distribution of the ROL for the operling sake has a tendency to the negative value when DP is higher than 150psid.

  • This paper describes the method of vibration supprssion on a control algorithm using Neuro-Fuzzy Theory in Linear Pulse Motor (LPM). The total thrust force Is distorted by magnetic and coil flux, and we classify the harmonic parts of it. A modulated current from harmonic components of static thrust characteristics of LPM compensates with reference current to total thrust force. Low vibration is obtatained by the method of current compensation using ANFIS.

  • Slotless linear brushless DC motor are widely used in precision machine applications because of their advantages such as low of detent force, negligible iron loss. But they have a disadvantage such as low thrust density, thrust ripple, and excessive use of permanent magnet materials. These lead to undesirable performance and high production cost. In this paper, we deal with the design and characteristics investigation of a air-core tubular linear brushless DC(TLBLDC) motor with air-core stator and permanent magnet mover. And to investigate the static and dynamic characteristics of air-core TLBLDC motor, the prototype machine is manufactured and analyzed by F.E.M. and Matlab simulink simulations. Especially, dynamic characteristics of air-core TLBLDC motor driven with 6 step inverter are simulated by F.E.M.coupling with external circuit and Matlab simulink program, and measured for the prototype motor. The simulation results are compared to the experimental results such as current waves, thrust and speed curve.

  • LOA(Linear Oscillating Actuator) is composed of a voice coil type mover and permanent magnets. we have applied LOA to the active vibration control system to supress structual vibration. In this paper, the static test of the voice coil type LOA is treated. The thrust developed by LOA is calculated by measuring stroke.

  • 본 논문은 무유도 로켓탄의 명중률을 향상시키기 위해 개발한 이중추력형 비행모터에 관하여 기술하였다. 고연소속도 특성을 지닌 더블베이스 추진제의 형상 조절을 통해 이중추력형 비행모터를 설계하였으며, 실제 지상연소시험을 통해 이중추력 성능을 확인하였다. 연소시험 결과 서스테이닝 단계와 부스팅 단계의 추력비는 약 1:7.6으로 정상적인 이중추력 특성을 보였으며, 압력강하에 의한 추진제 소화현상은 나타나지 않았다.

  • 작동 고도에 따라 노즐 내부에서 박리유동이 발생 또는 미발생 하는 관통형 핀틀노즐의 추력의 특성을 파악하기 위해 수치적 연구를 수행하였다. 난류모델은 저 레이놀즈 수 $k-{\varepsilon}$ 모델과 압축성 보정 모델인 Sarkar 모델을 적용하여, 핀틀 노즐의 내부 유동장을 관찰하고 노즐 벽면에서의 압력을 실험데이터와 비교하였다. 작동고도가 높아질수록 외기의 압력은 낮아지므로 낮은 고도에서의 유동 박리는 사라지고 제트의 팽창은 커진다. 추력특성을 분석하기 위해 추력을 추력의 모멘텀항과 압력항으로 나누어 분석하였다. 고도가 높아질수록 저고도에서의 박리로 인해 감소된 압력회복이 증가하고, 추력의 압력항이 증가하여 추력과 추력계수는 증가한다. 고도 20 km 조건에서는 지상에 비해 추력과 추력계수가 약 9% 증가한다.

Levitation and Thrust Forces Analysis of Hybrid-Excited Linear Synchronous Motor for Magnetically Levitated Vehicle

  • This paper proposes a hybrid-excited linear synchronous motor (LSM) that has potential applications in a magnetically levitated vehicle. The levitation and thrust force characteristics of the LSM are investigated by means of three-dimensional (3-D) numerical electromagnetic FEM calculations and experimental verification. Compared to a conventional LSM with electromagnets, a hybrid-excited LSM can improve levitation force/weight ratios, and reduce the power consumption of the vehicle. Because the two-dimensional (2-D) FE analysis model describes only the center section of the physical device, it cannot express the complex behavior of leakage flux, which this study is able to predicts along with levitation and thrust force characteristics by 3-D FEM calculations. A static force tester for a hybrid-excited LSM has been manufactured and tested in order to verify these predictions. The experimental results confirm the validity of the 3-D FEM calculation scheme for the description of a hybrid-excited LSM.

추력 노즐 변화에 따른 스크램제트 엔진 특성 연구 (Characteristic Research for Scramjet Engine with Thrust Nozzle Variation)

  • 한국항공우주연구원은 비행시험용 스크램제트 엔진의 최적 형상을 도출을 목표로 추력 노즐 변화에 따른 스크램제트 엔진의 특성을 파악하고자 여러 가지 형상의 추력 노즐을 설계 및 제작하였다. 성능시험은 호주 University of Queensland의 T4 충격파 터널에서 수행되었으며, 총 8종의 노즐과 2 종의 측벽이 시험되었다. 본 논문에는 스크램제트 엔진의 추력 노즐과 측벽의 설계 및 사양을 정리하였다. 또한 스크램제트 엔진 Baseline의 정압력과 노즐 출구 피토 압력 분포를 계산한 결과 양의 비추력을 얻었음을 확인하였다.
