자체 감지능 및 작동기용 다기능 하이브리드 나노복합재료의 계면 특성 및 소수성 표면 연구 (Interfacial Evaluation and Hydrophobicity of Multifunctional Hybrid Nanocomposites for Self-sensing and Actuation)

  • 니켈-나노분말/에폭시 복합재료의 계면 특성과 소수성을 자체-감지능과 작동기 측정을 위해 평가하였다. 경사형 시편을 사용하여 접촉 저항 및 저항도를 측정하였다. 자기장에서 복합재료의 작동성을 세가지 파형들, 즉, 싸인, 삼각, 그리고 사각파를 사용하여 평가하였다. 균일하지 않은 표면에 존재하는 소수성 영역 때문에 Ni-에폭시 나노복합재료의 어떤 부분은 초소수성보다는 다소 낮은 접촉각인 110도를 가졌다. 동적 접촉각은 정적 접촉각과 경향이 상호 일치함을 보였다. 니켈-나노분말의 고유의 금속성질 때문에 자체 감지를 확인하였으며, 또한 전자기장에 작동 반응을 잘 하였다. 니켈-나노분말/에폭시 복합재료의 최대 및 최적의 성능을 얻기 위해서, 레이져 변위 센서를 사용하여, 파형, 주파수, 그리고 전압의 함수로 작동기의 변위를 평가하였다. 니켈-나노분말/에폭시 복합재료의 작동은 적용된 주파수와 전압의 함수로써 증가하였다. 작동된 복합재료들의 연신율은 전압의 증가에 따라 삼각 혹은 사각파보다 싸인파에서 더욱 빨리 증가하였다.

보이드 위치에 따른 XLPE 전계분포 (Electric Field Distribution of XLPE due to Position of Void)

  • This paper is aimed at determining the e-field distribution by apply voltage of air void, which can be generate air void in the XLPE cable for ultra high voltage. E-field distribution had an effect in XLPE due to the type and position of void, compared and studied. This method of analysis is based on the quasi-static electromagnetic 3D simulation program by boundary element method (BEM): Applied AC 3[kV], discretization of 2000 elements, 4 angular periodicity, The result of experiment indicate that E-field distribution appeared the highest levels on the void position of electrode 2[nm] outer boundary and shape of the smallest inner angle in the void. This will serve to explain the XLPE cable degradation studied of possible, connected cable variation of position and shape of void effects to e-field concentration.

  • 본 논문에서는 전방 표적을 탐지하기 위한 모노스태틱 지형 영상 레이더의 블록 처리 기법을 설명한다. 모노스태틱 지형 영상 레이더는 초광대역 레이더이고 dechirp-on-receive 처리를 수행하기 때문에 합성개구면 레이더의 다양한 기존의 영상화 기법을 적용하기는 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 적용 가능한 영상화 기법으로서 각 블록별로 거리 및 방위각 압축을 수행하는 블록 처리 기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 기법의 도출 과정을 제시하고, 시뮬레이션과 시험 결과를 분석함으로써 제안하는 기법의 성능과 타당성을 검증한다.

Numerical Method for Exposure Assessment of Wireless Power Transmission under Low-Frequency Band

  • In this paper, an effective numerical analysis method is proposed for calculating dosimetry of the wireless power transfer system operating low-frequency ranges. The finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method is widely used to analyze bio-electromagnetic field problems, which require high resolution, such as a heterogeneous whole-body voxel human model. However, applying the standard method in the low-frequency band incurs an inordinate number of time steps. We overcome this problem by proposing a modified finite-difference time-domain method which utilizes a quasi-static approximation with the surface equivalence theorem. The analysis results of the simple model by using proposed method are in good agreement with those from a commercial electromagnetic simulator. A simulation of the induced electric fields in a human head voxel model exposed to a wireless power transmission system provides a realistic example of an application of the proposed method. The simulation results of the realistic human model with the proposed method are verified by comparing it with the conventional FDTD method.

  • An asymptotic solution of electro-magnetic waves diffracted by a dielectric wedge of the angle larger than $180^{\circ}$ is obtained in case of the incidence of a E-polarized plane wave. Based on the dual integral equation in the spectral domain, physical optics approximation is supplemented by correction currents distributed along the interfaces. Those currents are expanded in a series of Bessel functions, known as Neumann's expansion of which fractional order is chosen to satisfy the static edge condition as the limiting value of dynamic case. Numerical results of edge diffraction patterns and field patterns are presented for some typical cases.

Analytical Performance Modelling of Slotted Surface-Mounted Permanent Magnet Machines with Rotor Eccentricity

  • This paper presents an improved subdomain method to predict the magnet field distributions and electromagnetic performance of the surface-mounted permanent magnet (SPM) machines with static or dynamic eccentricity. Conventional subdomain models are either based on the scalar magnet potential to predict the rotor eccentricity effect or dependent on the magnetic vector potential without considering the eccentric rotor. In this paper, both the magnetic vector potential and the perturbation theory are introduced in order to accurately calculate the effect of rotor eccentricity on the open-circuit and armature reaction performance. The calculation results are presented and validated by the corresponding finite-element method (FEM) results.

  • Lightning currents are one of major influences on the dynamic performance of counterpoise. High lightning current causes the dynamic grounding performance of counterpoise due to very fast fronted pulses. The previous analysis has often been based on quasi-static approximation that can not be applicable to very fast fronted pulses. To extend the analysis for fast fronted pulses in this paper, the full-wave analysis method based on the rigorous electromagnetic-field theory approach is used and the effects of the ionization of the soil are disregarded. Based on the simulation results, the empirical formulas applicable for slow and fast fronted lightning current pulses are reviewed; therefore, the validity of the theoretical approach is verified through comparison between the calculated and measured results.

  • The development of modern high-energy magnet materials has allowed the replacement of field coils in many different types of electromagnetic energy conversion machines. As well, the linear synchronous motor has recently been proposed for linear motion with high efficiency and thrust. Thus, this paper presents an analytical solution for the high thrust and cost reduction of the Iron-Cored Permanent Magnet Linear Synchronous Motor (PMLSM) considering magnetization arrays and geometry. Hence, the superior utilization points in each of the magnetization arrays are provided by the height ratio of the magnet/air-gap and magnet/winding coil, etc. In formulation, the space harmonic method in analytical solutions and the generalized 2-D tensor finite element analysis can be used to evaluate force components in magneto static devices including the magnetostrictive phenomenon.

고자장 MRI에서의 영상 영역에 대한 B1+ 균질성 (B1+ Homogenizaion over Whole Field of View in High Field MRI)

  • 정 자장($B_0$)의 세기가 7 T(Tesla) 또는 9.4 T 고자기장 MRI(Magnetic Resonance Imaging) 시스템은 정 자장의 세기가 1.5 T 또는 3 T MRI(Magnetic Resonance Imaging) 시스템에 비하여 인가된 RF(Radio Frequency) 필드의 높은 불균질성을 보여준다. 다채널(multi-channel) RF 코일에서는 인가된 RF 자장($B_1^+$)의 불균질성을 개선시키기 위해서 각각의 코일 소자(element)에 인가되는 전류의 크기와 위상을 독립적으로 조절할 수 있다. 선택된 관심 영역에서의 RF 자장이 균일하도록 RF 코일의 각 요소로 들어가는 최적화된 전류의 크기와 위상 값을 얻기 위해서 iterative 방법과 함께 convex 최적화 방법이 사용된다. 이러한 방법을 입증하기 위하여 9.4 T MRI 시스템에 RF 코일의 공진 주파수가 400 MHz을 가지는 다채널 전송 선로 코일이 인체 두상 모형과 함께 모델링되었으며, 이 코일에 의하여 자장이 얻어진다. 9.4 T MRI 시스템을 위한 시뮬레이션 결과가 자세히 논의된다.
