  • XPDL is a XML-based language for process definition exchange that is proposed by WfMC. This paper propose a model which model XPDL document structure (Schema) using UML in order to define and to exchange workflow process, and make business flow understanding ease for inter-business cooperation. So, we define mapping rules in which map XPDL documents into UML class diagram and UML activity diagram. By these mapping rules, elements composing XPDL process meta-model are mapped into UML class diagram, and process activities are mapped into UML activity diagram. Also, we apply proposed mapping technique to model a workflow of (')Credit card state check system.(')

  • The temperature-entropy diagram of water or vapor displays graphically the thermophysical properties, so it is very conveniently used in various thermal systems. On general T-s chart of water, there are temperature, pressure, quality, specific volume, specific enthalpy, specific entropy. However, various state and process values besides above properties can be plotted on T-s diagram. In this study, we developed the software drawing twenty six kinds of properties, that is temperature, pressure, quality, specific volume, specific internal energy, specific enthalpy, specific entropy, specific exergy, exergy ratio, density, isobaric specific heat, isochoric specific heat, ratio of specific heat, coefficient of viscosity, kinematic coefficient of viscosity, thermal conductivity, prandtl number, ion product, static dielectric constant, isentropic exponent, velocity of sound, joule-thomson coefficient, pressure coefficient, volumetric coefficient of expansion, isentropic compressibility, and isothermal compressibility. Also, this software can analyze and print the system values of mass flow rate, volume flow rate, internal energy flow rate, enthalpy flow rate, entropy flow rate, exergy flow rate, heat flow rate, power output, power efficiency, and reversible work. Additionally, this software support the functions such as MS-Power Point.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest how to use the phase diagram for water to explain the evaporation and sublimation in the atmospheric condition. In principle, the phase diagram for water represents a one component system so it cannot be applied to the water contact with the air. When the liquid or solid phase of water exists in the air, always water vapor also exists in the air. In this case, we cannot present this state as a single point on the phase diagram because the pressure of the liquid or solid is different from that of the vapor in the air. However, since the saturation vapor pressure of liquid or solid is altered by negligible amount due to the presence of air, the evaporation and sublimation in the atmospheric condition can be explained using the vapor pressure line and sublimation line on the phase diagram.

  • Cast duplex stainless steels are susceptible to thermal aging during long-term service at temperatures ranging from $280^{\circ}C$ to $450^{\circ}C$. To analyze the effect of thermal aging on leak-before-break (LBB) behavior, three-dimensional finite element analysis models were built for circumferentially cracked pipes. Based on the elasticeplastic fracture mechanics theory, the detectable leakage crack length calculation and J-integral stability assessment diagram approach were carried out under different bending moments. The LBB curves and LBB assessment diagrams for unaged and thermally aged pipes were constructed. The results show that the detectable leakage crack length for thermally aged pipes increases with increasing bending moments, whereas the critical crack length decreases. The ligament instability line and critical crack length line for thermally aged pipes move downward and to the left, respectively, and unsafe LBB assessment results will be produced if thermal aging is not considered. If the applied bending moment is increased, the degree of safety decreases in the LBB assessment.

  • This pper presents a method for constructing multiple-valued logic sequential machines based on Galois field. First, we assign all elements in GF(2**m) to bit codes using mathematical properties of GF(2**m). Then, we realized the sequencial machine circuits with and withoutm feed-back. 1) Sequential machines with feed-back are constructed by using only MUX from state-transition diagram expressing the information of sequential machines. 2) Sequential machines without feed-back are constructed by following steps. First, we assigned states in state-transition disgram to state bit codes, then obtained state function and predecessor table explaining the relationship between present states and previous states. Next, we obtained next-state function from state function and predecessor table. Finally we realized the circuit using MUX and decoder.

  • This paper analyzes the steady state characteristics for variable speed wind power system with doubly-fed induction generator(DFIG). This paper explains the equivalent circuit and phasor diagram of DFIG for different operating conditions. It also simulates the torque-slip characteristics with respect to changes of different parameters. Simulation results show the torque-slip characteristics, stator power factor-rotor voltage and stator current-rotor voltage.

  • In this paper, a two ports machine(TPM) model for discrete event dynamic systems(DEDS) is proposed. The proposed model is a finite state machine which has two inputs and two outputs. Inputs and outputs have two components, events and informations. TPM is different from other state machine models, since TPM has symmetric input and output. This symmetry enables the block diagram representation of the DEDS with TPM blocks, summing points, multiplying points, branch points, and connections. The graphical representation of DEDS is analogous to that of control system theory. TPM has a matrix representation of its transition and information map. This matrix representation simplifies the analysis of the DEDS.

  • A simple method that estimates the torque fluctuations in induction motor driven by CSI under steady state condition is presented and that uses the phasor diagram from the modified singlephase equivalent circuit. This method is also applied to evaluate the PWM and programmed do link modulation techniques for reducing the torque pulsations. The simplified calculations are compared with the exact digital solutions from machine D-Q equation. It is noted that the torque pulsations in induction motor driven by CSI are dependent upon the load condition unlike VSI.

  • The Influence of temperature on the recovery reaction of silver in aqueous solution was investigated based on Pourbaix diagram constructed by thermodynamic calculation at different temperatures. It was observed that the stability of water is more strongly affected by pH variation and the stable region of ${Ag^+}_{(aq)}$ is diminished at higher temperature. It was shown that the recovery of $Ag_{(aq)}$ in the forms of $Ag_{(s)}$ and $Ag_2O_{3(s)}$ is more advantageous thermodynamically at lower temperature, however, the recovery of $Ag_{(aq)}$ in the forms of $Ag_2O_{(s)}$$Ag_2O_{2(s)}$ is more advantageous as temperature increases. The rise of temperature is considered to demote the recovery of silver thermodynamically in strong acidic condition ($pH{\leq}2$), but more silver is regarded to be recovered with temperature above pH 2. Finally, The recovery of silver in the elemental state is shown to be more sensitively influenced by temperature variation compared with the recovery of silver in its oxide form.
