증권형 크라우드펀딩 투자설명서 형태소분석을 통한 투자자 보호방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on Investor Protection through Morphological Analysis of Equity Crowdfunding Investment Manual)

  • An equity crowdfunding system of Korea has been introduced since January 25, 2016. The crowdfunding has contributed to remove the funding gap for startups in Korea. In the three years since the introduction of the system, the amount issued has been growing annually 31 percent. In 2018, the general investors who participated in equity crowdfunding, account for 93.8% of the total market size. General investors are a large part of equity crowdfunding. Investors, however, are facing the information asymmetry problems. General investors rely heavily on the investment prospectus provided by startups to obtain the information they need to determine their investment decisions. Under these circumstances, startups have the incentive to provide information that is advantageous to them, and investors are likely to be adversely affected by the investment prospectus. In this study, we collected the novel crowdfunding prospectus dataset: a total of 459 investment prospectus and conducted a morphological analysis. The analysis showed that the more positive the word, the higher the success rate of investors' subscriptions. We also compared projects that were heavily invested by general investors with projects that were heavily invested by professional investors. Then, we were able to examine that the success rates of project subscription, which were heavily invested by general investors, were higher than the projects of professional investor type. It can be interpreted as a general investor driven crowdfunding market. Based on these results, we propose three policies. First, the supervisor should be strengthened to provide more detailed information on investment risk factors in the prospectus. Second, the crowdfunding intermediary should monitor information provided by startups. Third, an investor should be asked to add a question to the investment compliance test that allows the investor to recognize the problem in the manual.

국내 인디게임 육성정책의 한계 및 개선방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Limits and Improvement Methods of Korean Indie Game Development Policy)

  • 전 세계적으로 게임시장이 포화상태에 이르면서, 게임 창업의 틈새시장으로 인디게임 시장이 부각되고 있다. 본 연구는 1인 또는 소수의 팀으로 운영하는 국내 인디게임 시장의 개선 및 활성화 방안을 제시하기 위해 서울시, 경기도, 부산시 및 민간의 인디게임 관련 정책 사례를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 인디게임 관련 정책의 문제점으로 시장 조사 및 성공사례 분석 부족, 인력양성 프로그램의 미비, 엑셀러레이팅 프로그램의 부재, 민관협력 프로젝트의 부족 등이 도출되었다. 인디게임 생태계 구축이라는 정책적 과제의 해결을 위해 지자체와 국가 간의 업무분담과 협력을 통해 효과적 추진체계 구축의 필요성을 제안하였다.

철도교통 분야 정책·제도적 R&D 실용화 촉진 방안 연구 (A Study on the Improvement of R&D commercialization policy system for Railroad Transportation)

  • Recently, the Korean government has been making efforts to achieve 'creative economy' based on science and technology. As part of these efforts, it has been promoted specific policies for innovation and performance enhancement of national R&D projects. They contains commercialization of research outcomes, technology transfer, technology based startup and support small and medium-sized businesses. The railroad transportation industry is a representative in the field of SOC and has own characteristics different from other industry areas. Especially, industry and market of railroad transportation are directly related to planning and implementation of government SOC policies. So in order to promoting commercialization of railroad transportation projects, it is very important to ensure consistency between government policies and R&D projects. In this paper, we investigate barriers of successful commercialization with typical researchers in the area of railroad transportation, and suggest problems and improvements of policy-based commercialization by giving specific examples.

A Systems Engineering Approach to Multi-Physics Load Follow Simulation of the Korean APR1400 Nuclear Power Plant

  • Nuclear power plants in South Korea are operated to cover the baseload demand. Hence they are operated at 100% rated power and do not deploy power tracking control except for startup, shutdown, or during transients. However, as the contribution of renewable energy in the energy mix increases, load follow operation may be needed to cover the imbalance between consumption and production due to the intermittent nature of electricity produced from the conversion of wind or solar energy. Load follow operation may be quite challenging since the operators need to control the axial power distribution and core reactivity while simultaneously conducting the power maneuvering. In this paper, a systems engineering approach for multi-physics load follow simulation of APR1400 is performed. RELAP5/SCDAPSIM/MOD3.4/3DKIN multi-physics package is selected to simulate the Korean Advanced Power Reactor, APR1400, under load follow operation to reflect the impact of feedback signals on the system safety parameters. Furthermore, the systems engineering approach is adopted to identify the requirements, functions, and physical architecture to provide a set of verification and validation activities that guide this project development by linking each requirement to a validation or verification test with predefined success criteria.

Deep reinforcement learning for a multi-objective operation in a nuclear power plant

  • Nuclear power plant (NPP) operations with multiple objectives and devices are still performed manually by operators despite the potential for human error. These operations could be automated to reduce the burden on operators; however, classical approaches may not be suitable for these multi-objective tasks. An alternative approach is deep reinforcement learning (DRL), which has been successful in automating various complex tasks and has been applied in automation of certain operations in NPPs. But despite the recent progress, previous studies using DRL for NPP operations have limitations to handle complex multi-objective operations with multiple devices efficiently. This study proposes a novel DRL-based approach that addresses these limitations by employing a continuous action space and straightforward binary rewards supported by the adoption of a soft actor-critic and hindsight experience replay. The feasibility of the proposed approach was evaluated for controlling the pressure and volume of the reactor coolant while heating the coolant during NPP startup. The results show that the proposed approach can train the agent with a proper strategy for effectively achieving multiple objectives through the control of multiple devices. Moreover, hands-on testing results demonstrate that the trained agent is capable of handling untrained objectives, such as cooldown, with substantial success.

온라인 패션 쇼핑몰 창업의 실패 경험에 관한 연구 -텍스트 마이닝과 근거이론을 적용하여- (A Study on the Failure Experiences of Online Fashion Shopping Mall Startups -Applying Text Mining and Grounded Theory-)

  • Many entrepreneurs who launched online fashion shopping malls faced failure compared to those who achieved success. Recognizing the importance of research that reflects reality, this study explores entrepreneurs' experiences during the failure process of online fashion shopping malls. Two studies utilized YouTube videos documenting such online fashion shopping malls' failure. Study 1 employed text mining techniques, including high-frequency analysis and topic modeling, while Study 2 used a qualitative research method, specifically grounded theory. Study 1 identified the prominent experiences of operating online fashion shopping malls, while Study 2 provided a holistic perspective on the failure processes. The integrated findings from both studies highlight that entrepreneurs' passion for fashion motivates them to establish online fashion shopping malls, yet they encounter numerous challenges during the operational process. Insufficient business preparation and operational capabilities contribute to their failure to achieve financial goals. Despite efforts to boost sales and profit, entrepreneurs often close their businesses due to inadequate funds and waning motivation. The outcomes of this study can inform us about the operational challenges faced by online fashion shopping malls and offer valuable insights for developing new strategies to sustain and improve them.

BI의 창업기업 성과달성 방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on BI's Plan to Achieve the Performance of Start-up Companies)

  • 창업은 참신한 아이디어 또는 경험과 노하우를 가진 창업가는 개인뿐만 아니라 국가 발전을 위해 매우 중요한 과제이다. 신규로 창업하는 대부분은 창업경험이 없는 경우가 많으며 창업기업이 성장, 발전할 수 있도록 정부와 대학에서는 창업보육센터(BI)를 운영하고 있다. 목표는 기술기반 창업기업의 성공률 제고에 있다. 창업기업의 다양한 니즈를 지원하고, 기업이 보유한 잠재력을 최대한 발휘할 수 있도록 함으로써 창업기업이 성공할 수 있도록 지원하고 있다. BI의 기대효과는 창업의 활성화를 통한 국가경제발전의 기여라고 할 수 있다. 본 연구는 BI의 효율적인 운영으로 발전 방안에 대해 고찰하고자 한다.

Possibilities of reinforcement learning for nuclear power plants: Evidence on current applications and beyond

  • Nuclear energy plays a crucial role in energy supply in the 21st century, and more and more Nuclear Power Plants (NPPs) will be in operation to contribute to the development of human society. However, as a typical complex system engineering, the operation and development of NPPs require efficient and stable control methods to ensure the safety and efficiency of nuclear power generation. Reinforcement learning (RL) aims at learning optimal control policies via maximizing discounted long-term rewards. The reward-oriented learning paradigm has witnessed remarkable success in many complex systems, such as wind power systems, electric power systems, coal fire power plants, robotics, etc. In this work, we try to present a systematic review of the applications of RL on these complex systems, from which we believe NPPs can borrow experience and insights. We then conduct a block-by-block investigation on the application scenarios of specific tasks in NPPs and carried out algorithmic research for different situations such as power startup, collaborative control, and emergency handling. Moreover, we discuss the possibilities of further application of RL methods on NPPs and detail the challenges when applying RL methods on NPPs. We hope this work can boost the realization of intelligent NPPs, and contribute to more and more research on how to better integrate RL algorithms into NPPs.

창업기업관점에서 바라본 투자자의 투자결정요인에 관한 연구 : 물산업 창업기업을 중심으로 (A Study on Investors Determinants Addressed by Startup Entrepreneurs : In the Center of Startups in Water Industry)

  • 환경에 대한 관심의 증가와 4차산업혁명 기술의 발전으로 지속적인 성장이 기대되는 글로벌 물시장에서 국내 물산업은 공공성과 안정성에 대한 강조로 기술 발전 및 혁신적 성장에 한계를 보이고 있다. 이러한 한계 극복을 위해서 최근 한국수자원공사는 오픈이노베이션에서 중요한 역할을 하고 있는 스타트업을 중심으로 국내 물산업 생태계를 활성화하면서 동시에 물산업 혁신을 위해 물산업 창업기업을 발굴, 육성하고 있다. 본 연구는 물산업 창업기업이 국내 물시장을 혁신시키고 글로벌 물시장을 선도하는 유니콘 기업으로 성장하기 위해 반드시 필요한 벤처투자 유치의 성공률 제고를 목적으로 하고 있다. 본 연구는 선행연구를 참고 후 초기 투자자 대상 FGI기법을 통해 투자결정요인에 대한 주요요인 5개 항목과 세부요인 17개 항목을 도출하였다. 도출된 투자결정요인을 토대로 41명의 창업기업 대표를 대상으로 조사를 진행하였다. 응답자 그룹은 투자유치 경험이 있는 창업기업과 투자유치 경험이 없는 창업기업으로 구분하여 비교분석하였고 분석방법은 AHP 기법을 활용하였다. 분석 결과 투자유치경험이 있는 기업과 초기투자자의 투자결정요인의 우선순위가 유사함을 확인할 수 있었고, 투자유치경험이 없는 그룹은 투자를 자금 조달의 방법으로만 생각하고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 물산업 창업기업을 발굴, 육성하고 있는 기관에게 육성중인 창업기업의 투자유치율 제고를 위한 시사점을 제안하였다.

주식형 크라우드 펀딩이 고용창출에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of Equity Crowdfunding on Job Creation)

  • 미국과 유럽 국가들에 대한 연구결과에 의하면, 순 고용을 창출하는 기업은 창업기업과 신생기업들이며, 실업률 감소와 경제 성장을 위해서는 창업기업의 수를 늘리고 창업기업의 생존율과 성장률을 높여주는 것이다. 자금조달은 창업과 신생기업 성장을 위해서 가장 중요한 요인이며, 특히 신생기업은 성장을 위한 자금조달능력에 따라 기업의 생존이 결정 될 수 있다. 주식형 크라우드 펀딩은 영업을 위한 효율적이고 혁신적인 자금조달 수단이며, 신생 기업이 온라인으로 수많은 대중들과 소통하게 하는 특성을 가지고 있기 때문에, 영업의 성공률과 성장률, 그리고 투자 수익성을 높여줌으로서 벤처캐피탈과 엔젤 투자가들의 투자를 유인하는 역할을 한다. 우리나라는 창업과 벤처기업의 생존율과 생존 기업들의 성장률이 미국과 다른 국가들의 신생기업 생존율과 성장률에 비하여 매우 낮은데, 그 원인은 창업 및 초기성장을 위한 자금 부족이 중요한 요인이 될 수 있다. 따라서 우리나라에서도 주식형 크라우드 펀딩이 벤처기업과 신생기업의 새로운 자금원이 되어 창업율과 창업기업의 생존율, 그리고 생존기업의 성장률을 증가시킴으로서 순고용 증가에 기여할 것이다. 우리나라는 2016년부터 주식형 크라우드 펀딩이 허용됨으로 고용창출에 미치는 확실한 효과는 향후 더 많은 연구가 필요한 분야일 것이다.
