  • A design method of three phase induction motors that have characteristics of low starting current and high starting torque is proposed. This design method is based on the traditional theory related to the skin effect and the gap saturation effect. The starting performances and the analysis method are explained in short. Finally, comparison of example design data on electric hoist motor with standard motor is shown.

  • The line-start permanent magnet synchronous motor has a high efficiency and an advantage in constant speed operation regardless of the effect of load variation. However it is difficult to predict the performance of characteristics accurately, because of the unbalanced starting torque with the initial starting position of the rotor and the generation of a break torque. In this paper the dynamic characteristics of the line-start permanent magnet synchronous motor are described and compared with those of the squirrel-cage induction motor through the simulation to find the characteristics of the permanent magnets and the rotor bars in the line-start permanent magnet synchronous motor. Finally this paper gives the comparison between the simulation results and the experiment results.

Analysis of Slot Leakage Reactance of Submersible Motor with Closed Slots during Starting Transient Operation

  • Generally, closed slots are adopted to reduce the water friction loss in both the stator and the rotor of water filling submersible motor due to the special environment of operation. One of the obvious differences between the traditional induction motors and water filling submersible motors is that the submersible motors only need relatively smaller starting torque. This paper aims to analyze the slot leakage reactance of water filling submersible motor during starting transient operation. An improved analytical method which considered the magnetic saturation of the slot bridge and the skin effect of rotor bars is proposed. The slot permeance factor which has a direct impact on the slot leakage reactance is calculated. Then finite element models with different stator slot types are constructed and search coils are introduced to measure the slot flux linkage. Moreover, the starting performances of the models with two typical stator slots are compared and the flux leakage characteristics are obtained. Finally, the results obtained by finite element method are very close to the results obtained by analytical method.

  • We analyze the effects of the sellers' strateiges on the final bid prices in internet auctions. We focus on the following three strategies of the seller adoption of the buy-price, setting the starting bid price, and adoption of 'the effective fixed price' which means that the starting bid price is set near the buy-price. In addition, the number of units sold single-unit or multi-unit, and item characteristics, such as whether the food is a search product (functional product) or an experience product (non-functional product), are also considered. We use real data on bids for 4 items from an online auction site. We find that in an auction for experience products when sold as single units, adopting the buy-price strategy raises the final bid price. We also find that in multi-unit auctions, starting the auction at 'the effective fixed price' raises the final bid price.

  • 단상유도전동기의 기동전류를 줄이기 위하여 슬라이딩모드 제어기가 적용된다. 단상유도전동기의 기동전류가 정격치 이하로 유지되도록 슬라이딩모드 제어기의 스위칭 기능을 조절함으로써 전동기 입력전압이 제어되며 또한 속도도 제어된다. 슬라이딩 모드 제어기의 스위칭은 속도 오차 신호와 속도 변화량에 대하여 적절이 수행된다. 단상 유도 전동기의 기동특성이 슬라이딩 제어기를 사용하여 크게 향상될 수 있음을 보여 준다.

  • When a fault occurs on railway feeders it is very important to detect the fault to protect trains and facilities. Because a DC railway system has low feeder voltage, The fault current can be smaller than the current of load starting. So it is important to discriminate between the small fault current and the load starting current. The load starting current increases step by step but the fault current increases at one time. So the type of $\Delta$I/ relay(50F) was developed using the different characteristics between the load starting current and the fault current. The load starting current increases step by step so the time constant of each step is much smaller than that of the fault current. First, to detect faults in DC railway systems, an algorithm using the time constant calculated by the method of least squares is presented in this paper. If a fault occurs on DC railway systems it is necessary to find a fault location to repair the faulted system as soon as possible. The second aim of the paper is to calculate the accurate fault location using Kirchhoff's voltage law.

중년 직장인의 퇴직 후 창업효능감 및 창업의도에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Study on Factors for Efficacy and Purpose of Starting Business after Middle Aged Workers' Retirement)

  • 본 연구는 중년직장인의 퇴직 후 창업효능감과 창업의도에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구로서, 이들 종속변수들과 창업자 개인의 혁신성, 성취욕구, 위험감수성향, 통제소재, 그리고 가족지지와의 관계를 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 서울 및 경기지역에 근무하는 중년직장인들을 대상으로 설문조사를 하였으며, 총 346부의 자료를 사용하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 개인의 성취욕구, 위험감수성향 그리고 통제소재가 강할수록 창업효능감이 높고 둘째, 혁신성, 성취욕구 그리고 위험감수성향이 높을수록 창업의도가 높은 것으로 나타났으며 셋째, 가족지지는 성취욕구와 창업효능감 간에 조절역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 인구사회학적 특성에 따라 개인특성, 가족지지, 창업효능감 그리고 창업의도는 부분적으로 차이가 났다.

경유의 저온특성에 따른 농용 디젤엔진의 저온시동성 (Starting of Farming Diesel Engines According to Characteristics of Light Oil at Low Temperature)

  • This study was carried cut to get basic data of troubles in starting and supply of farm diesel engines in cold winter. The results of the study are summarized as follows: 1. As the result of farm survey. the proportions of farms which had starting problems or troubles in fuel supply in cold winter for the last 5 years were 38% for the farms with power-tillers and 32% for the farms with tractors. Most of the farms which had starting problems or troubles in fuel supply in cold winter used light oil for summer. spring or fall rather than for winter. 2. As the result of fuel supply test, fuel supply was stopped at -6$^{\circ}C$ and -18$^{\circ}C$ for summer light oil and winter light oil. respectively 3. The lowest temperatures of winter light oil for starting engine were -7.5$^{\circ}C$ for power-tiller. -12.5$^{\circ}C$ for tractor of 38ps, and -17.5$^{\circ}C$ for tractor of 45ps. which were 5~7.5$^{\circ}C$ lower than that of summer light oil. 4. The performance of engine starting and the trouble of fuel supply system at lower temperature were significantly improved by using winter hight oil rather than summer light oil.

대용량 유도기 기동 특성 모델링 및 전략적 기동 방법에 관한 연구 (Modeling and Strategic Startup Scheme for Large-Scaled Induction Motors)

  • 본 논문은 대용량 유도전동기가 기동할 때 발생하는 큰 돌입전류로 인해 PCC(Point of Common Coupling)에 심한 전압 강하가 발생하게 되어 기동에 실패하는 문제를 해결하기 위해 대상 유도전동기의 기동 특성과 배전계통을 모델링하고 시뮬레이션을 수행함으로써 유도기 기동시에 전압저하 현상을 해석하였다. 문제가 되는 유도전동기는 2500KVA 용량의 펌프용 농형 유도전동기로 리액터 기동법을 채용하고 있다. 2500KVA 유도전동기 한대의 기동에는 문제가 없으나 기동 완료 후 PCC 전압이 다소 떨어진다. 하지만 추가로 동일 용량의 유도전동기가 기동하게 되면 PCC의 심한 전압강하로 기동에 실패하게 되는 문제가 발생하였다. 이러한 문제 해결을 위해 본 논문에서는 실제 기기의 기동시 토크-속도 곡선을 이용한 유도전동기의 기동 특성을 정확히 모델링하고 시뮬레이션을 수행하여 두 대의 대용량 유도전동기가 순차적으로 기동에 성공할 수 있는 적절한 전압보상 방안을 제안하였다. 본 논문에서 논의되는 대용량 유도전동기는 한국수자원공사의 취수장에서 운전되고 있으며 대상 유도전동기 및 배전계통은 PSCAD/EMTDC 소프트웨어를 사용하여 모델링 및 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다.
