The objective of this study was to devise and empirically validate a model in which personal characteristic, infrastructure of business start-up, difficulties of business start-up influence the intention of business start-up. The research model was analyzed by the structural equation modeling(SEM) technique, supported by SAS 9.13 and SMART-PLS 2.0. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. Firstly, personal characteristic had a significant impact on intention of business start-up. Secondly, infrastructure of business start-up also had a significant impact on intention of business start-up. Lastly, on the other hand, difficulties of business start-up had no direct impacts on intention of business start-up.

Micro small business start-ups are receiving financial and marketing support from government or public authority, but business closure rate is very high and it causes a hugh burden to households and national economy. This study aims to verify the causal relationship between the self-determination characteristic of small business start-ups and entrepreneurial intention through learning orientation and innovation ability. The man's intrinsic motivation of self-determination theory is expected to have an impact on the entrepreneurial intention of small business start-ups. The self-determination theory includes perceived autonomy, perceived competence, perceived relationship as independent variables. This study presented a research model for explaining the entrepreneurial intention of small business start-ups, and collected 260 survey responses from the small business start-ups In order to validate the proposed research model, PLS analysis is performed with valid 246 questionnaires. By PLS technique, the measurement reliability and validity of research variables are tested and the path analysis is conducted to do the hypothesis test. Path analysis shows that perceived autonomy does not significantly affect the learning orientation and innovation ability. On the other hand, perceived competence significantly influences learning orientation and innovation ability. Perceived relationships had significant influence on learning orientation. It is found that the parameters of learning orientation and innovation ability significantly influence the dependent variable of entrepreneurial intention. Based on the results, a policy and strategy for supporting small business start-up are presented.

Recently, district heating and cooling (DHC) systems based on combined cycle generation (CCG) providers are increasing in Korea. Since characteristics of combined heat and power (CHP) generators and heat demands of providers, heat trading between DHC providers based on the economic viewpoint is required; the heat trading has been doing. In this paper, a mathematical model for optimal operation based on heat trading between DHC providers is proposed. Especially, start-up characteristic of CCG is included. The operation model is established by mixed integer linear programming (MILP).

This research is conducted a study on the effect of startup mentoring and education satisfaction as well as startup intention on the individual characteristics of university students, therefore, to draw way to increase start up ability of university student as well as their outcome is a primary purpose. Statistics process of sample data for 237 students at the local university in Gwangju is performed an analysis of frequency, reliability, factor, and multiple regression utilized SPSS 2.0 For windows. Individual characteristics except for innovativeness have effected on startup mentoring as well as startup education satisfaction while start up mentoring has effected on start up intention. Only role model function among start up mentoring factors has effected on start up intention while startup education satisfaction has effected on start up intention. As a result, start up intention and its outcome in university will be increased through not only selection of start up mentors with a competence and a passion but also start up mentoring and systematic start up education program fit for individual personality of university student.

A simulation procedure for a full transient analysis of the start-up of heavy-duty gas turbines for power generation is constructed. Compressor stages are grouped into three categories (front, mid, rear) and three different stage characteristic curves are applied to consider the different low-speed operating characteristics. Start-up behavior of a typical single-shaft gas turbine for power generation is simulated. The predicted transient behavior shows a good agreement with the field data. Special attention is paid to the effects of the modulation of VIGV on start-up characteristics, which play a key role in the stable operation of gas turbines.

A start-up circuit of the bandgap reference voltage generator of cascode current mirror type with wide operating voltage range and enhanced power-up characteristics is proposed in the paper. It is confirmed by simulation that the newly proposed start-up circuit does not affect the operation of the bandgap reference voltage generatory even though the supply voltage(VDDA) is higher and has more stable power-up characteristic than the conventional start-up circuit. Test chips are designed and fabricated with $0.18{\mu}m$ tripple well CMOS process and their test has been completed. The mean value of measured the reference voltage(Vref) is 738mV and The three sigma value($3{\sigma}$) is 29.88mV.

This paper presents the improvement of start-up characteristic of sensorless controlled IPMSM(Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) with SMO(Sliding Mode Observer). It is difficult to utilize the rotor position information at starting point for the back EMF estimation based sensorless control. For this reason, open loop control is normally used during start-up period. However, changing from open loop to closed loop control might bring a problem on the transient characteristics for difference load conditions. To solve this problem, we add another rotor angle controller. Simulation results and experimental results are presented to verify proposed method.

This study aims to examine their influential relations between the start-up motivation and entrepreneurial satisfaction of women entrepreneurs mediated by entrepreneurial orientation and commitment to start-up. An empirical analysis of the 386 questionnaires collected by the cosmetics store entrepreneurs located in Seoul and Gyeonggi provinces were conducted in this study. Mediator effect use the comparison by correspondence with total effect, direct effect, indirect effect inclusive of characteristic indirect effect. To achieve the research goal, this study were analyzed on the cornerstone of combination of parallel serial mediation models with entrepreneurial orientation and commitment to start-up as mediator variable. The following is the results verified through this study. First, Rewards motivation had the significant positive effects on the entrepreneurial satisfaction in total effects of X on Y and direct effects of X on Y. Second, Achievement motivation had the positive effects on entrepreneurial satisfaction in characteristic indirect effects of X on Y. Third, Environment motivation had the significant positive effects on the entrepreneurial satisfaction in total effects of X on Y and direct effects of X on Y. Fourth, The entrepreneurial orientation and the commitment to start-up between the start-up motivation and entrepreneurial satisfaction in women entrepreneurs had the serial mediation effects. I discussed theoretical and empirical implications with these findings and described the future research.

The present study has the purpose of analyzing the relationship between entrepreneurial characteristics and success factors of small-scale start-up founders as well as the relationship between success factors and performances of start-up businesses. It is also aimed in this study to determine the structural effects of start-up founders' characteristic upon their performances and by thus, to provide those who prepare for and/or have been operating start-up business with suggestions for stable and successful start-up as well operation. The study resulted in the following outcomes: First, the analysis of the relationship between characteristics and success factors of start-up business found that the empirical characteristics of small-scale start-up business founders might influence every factor for their success including the financial conditions as well as management of shops, products and service. Their psychological characteristics, however, turned out to have influence upon the management of products and service only, but not upon the financial conditions and management of shops, a result implying that the higher desire and creativity small-scale start-up business founders have, the more probable the start-up businesses become successful. Second it was learned from the analysis of the relationship between success factors and performances of start-up businesses that such success factors of start-ups as financial conditions as well as management of shops, products and service could exercise impact upon their performances, signifying that the exact decision making of small-scale start-up founders might affect the performances of small-scale start-up businesses. Third, the analysis of the relationship between entrepreneurial characteristics and performances of start-up founders revealed that both empirical and psychological characteristics of start-up founders might have influence upon the performances of start-up businesses, leading to the conclusion that small-scale start-up founders could achieve higher performances in their start-up when they are highly aware of empirical and psychological characteristics for start-up as part of entrepreneurial characteristics.
