불가역 감자를 고려한 단상 LSPM의 영구자석 두께 산정 (Calculation of Permanent Magnet Thickness for Single Phase LSPM Considering the Irreversible Demagnetization of Permanent Magnet)

  • LSPM(Line Start Permanent Motor)은 기존의 가정용으로 널리 사용되고 있는 단상유도기에 영구 자석을 삽입함으로써 별도의 회로 없이 정상상태에서 동기기로 작용하는 고효율의 전동기이다. 하지만 기동시 높은 전류로 인한 전기자 반작용과 온도 상승으로 인하여 자석의 불가역 감자가 빈번하게 일어나는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 이에 본 논문은 모터 형상에 따른 영구자석의 퍼미언스 계산을 통해 동작점을 산정함으로서 불가역 감자가 발생하지 않는 영구자석의 최적의 사이즈를 선정하는데 목적을 두었다.

  • There are many new technologies for EMU to secure the facilities' safety/validity and maintenance/economical efficiency and technologic competitiveness. For example, now the EMU is using the blending brake technology with electric brake and pneumatic brake and carrying the various performances such as jerk limitation, variable load and blending brake to stop the motor car safely and efficiently. The blending brake takes important parts in braking the cars and It is used in many fields of urban transit. There were many limitations to carry the performances and certificate whether the performances are acceptable in the system or not, because at that time they didn't take the whole prelieminarly inspection. Now we start applying such new methods, taking the whole inspection prior to the installation by analyzing systems requirements and introducing various system engineering design tools. In this paper, we suggest how to reduce the errors by prelieminarly inspection for the brake facilities using the tools and inspect the needs to analyze the brake facilities' performances.

  • Gas turbine systems are applied extensively in energy supplies to cover peak load requirements. The gas turboset must be accelerated by starting device up to 60%~80% of rated speed to ignite the gas turbine. Recently, the most favorable and economical starting device is the LCI(Load Commutated Inverter). The LCI runs up the gas turboset by feeding the generator as a synchronous motor. In this paper, we discuss in detail the driving principles and features of 183MW gas turbine system. During field application of LCI system, many tests have been conducted and the results were described in this paper. The test results will be considered as the important resources for development in future.

  • 본 논문은 유도전동기의 직접벡터제어 시스템에서 전동기가 기동 시 토크 충격없이 부드럽게 기동할 수 있는 기동기법을 제시한다. 직접 벡터제어에서 고정자 자속을 계산 시 사용되는 적분기 문제를 해결하기 위하여, 인버터주파수에 따라 시정수를 제어하는 프로그램어블 3-단계 저역필터를 적용한다. 이 3-단계 저역필터는 거의 완벽한 적분기능을 수행 할 수 있으나, 이 저역필터는 고정자 자속의 시간지연을 유발하므로 기동 시 전동기 토크의 충격을 발생된다는 문제점이 있다. 따라서, 기동시 고동자 자속의 시간지연을 보상하는 고장자 자속의 피이드포워드 기법을 제시하여, 전동기 기동 시 토크 충격을 방지한다. 시뮬레이션을 통하여, 이 기동기법의 타당성을 확인한다.

비용절감형 단상-삼상 전력변환기 구조의 해석 및 제어 (Analysis and Control of Cost-Effective Topologies for Single Phase to Three Phase Power Converter)

  • A single phase to three phase power converter with cost effective and simple structure is proposed. The converter consists of rectifier and inverter. The rectifier is composed of a half wave rectifier, a dc link capacitor, and a current limiting inductor, and the inverter is of only two switches with PWM control. For negative sequence operation the inverter output voltage leads the line input by $60^{\circ}$, and for positive sequence operation the inverter output voltage leads by $60^{\circ}$. We can see that positive sequence operation shows higher output voltage, slight harmonic distortion(2%), and better performances such as high efficiency and high power factor. A mathematical model for system analysis is provided, and specifications for selection and control scheme both for start-up and for steady state are analyzed. comparison and operational limits of positive and negative sequence operation are performed, and simulations and experiments are executed to verify the proposed.

  • Recently, PMSMs(Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors) have become increasingly popular in various high-performance motor drive applications. However, the high-performance drive of PMSMs needs a position sensor such as a resolver, which increases not only the price of the system but also reduces the system reliability. This paper is on the implementation of sensorless control of a SPMSM, which drives a fan for cooling in appliances. In this paper, the rotor position for high-performance drive of a SPMSM is derived from back electromotive force (EMF) information proportional to the rotor speed. Also, the initial rotor position information for start-up is estimated from a saturation phenomenon of inductance. The validity of the proposed sensorless drives was confirmed by the experiment on the SPMSM drive systems for cooling fans of refrigerators and laptop computers.

  • Reactor starting method has the advantage of simplicity and closed transition in spite of lower starting torque per kVA. This method allows a smooth start with almost no observable disturbance on transition and is suitable for applications such as centrifugal pumps or fans. Starting power factor is specially low. Power factor application is needed to compensate for the lower power factor of induction motor. This power factor compensation systems is being hit by the effects of the starting reactor connection position. This paper describes voltage and current stress affected by the installation position of power factor compensation application at the reactor starting method.

Decanter형 원심분리기의 동력 계산 (I) - 슬러지 제거동력 - (Analysis of the Power for a Decanter-Type Centrifuge (I) - Sludge-Removal Power -)

  • In general, the electric motor for driving the centrifuge of Decanter type is selected based on the power(starting power) necessary to start the bowl and the screw shaft. However the operation cost of the machine is dependent on the power needed at a steadily operating condition, including the power against the bearing friction and that for the sludge removal. In this paper, the formulation for the sludge-removal power is presented. Sample calculation for a specific design shows that the sludge-removal power is increased with the friction coefficient. It also reveals that the power is mainly dependent on the length of the screw blade rather than the beach angle. Further it is shown that the power increases in square of the rotational speed of the machine.

원주방향 윤활홈을 갖는 엔진 주베어링의 연속 마찰 해석 (Analysis of instantaneous friction in full-circumferentially grooved engine main bearings)

  • The instantaneous friction in main bearings of a single cylinder diesel engine was determined by measuring the instantaneous angular velocity, calculating the resulting forces acting on the bearings, and solving the unsteady Reynolds equation in combination with the mobility method. The considered system consists of only the crankshaft with flywheel and oil pump. The thermal effects were not considered because of the short testing time. The tests were conducted using an electric start motor. The results indicated that when the bearing is not near equilibrium for very small speeds, simple film lubrication theories are not accurate. The details of grooves and unsteady terms in the Reynolds equation cannot be ignored for increasing efficiency of instantaneous friction calculation of the engine bearings. The effects of speed on instantaneous friction and energy lost in friction were determined.
