JPEG Pleno Holography 표준화 현황 (Recent Status of JPEG Pleno Holography Standardization)

  • Holography is the most promising 3D imaging technology to faithfully record and reproduce light information. In addition, it is widely explored in metrology for applications such as microscopy and tomography because it can accurately measure 3D shapes. However, the data size of a digital hologram is very large, and the data characteristics are notably different from those of conventional 2D images. The Joint Photographic Experts Group (JPEG) is a group of experts from the International Organization for Standardization/International Electrotechnical Commission. This group develops and maintains standards for still image compression. In 2014, the JPEG released a new standard for 3D image compression called JPEG Pleno to represent light fields, point clouds, and holograms. Among them, JPEG Pleno Holography is the first international standard for hologram compression. We review recent advances in JPEG Pleno Holography standardization and discuss future directions of development.

증강 원리를 이용한 힘 측정 시스템 설계 및 제작에 관한 연구 (Design and fabrication of force measuring system using build-up procedure)

  • In heavy industries forces which are exceeding the range of available force standard machines have to be measured. Force measuring system using build-up procedure can be applied to measure large forces efficiently. In this study strain gage type force sensors are designed and fabricated, and the build-up force measuring system with 4.5 MN capacity using the developed force sensors is 0.03% or less over the range of 600 kN .approx. 1.5 MN and the force measuring system is less than 0.06% or less over the range of 500 kN .approx. 4.5 MN.

Structure of the Galactic Foreground

  • In this poster, we present a relation between the Galactic foregrounds and Galactic latitude to study the structure of the Galactic foregrounds. We propose that the standard deviation of observed values along a line of sight with Galactic latitude b ('σl.o.s') is inversely proportional to ${\sqrt{sin{\mid}b{\mid}}}$. To confirm this, we use synchrotron intensity data from the Planck archive and rotation measure (RM) data from the NVSS. We divided the sphere of the Galactic coordinate into bins with a constant surface area and calculated the average of standard deviation along Galactic latitude ('σlat'). We compared σlat ${\sqrt{sin{\mid}b{\mid}}}$ with σlat along Galactic latitude and found that σlat ${\sqrt{sin{\mid}b{\mid}}}$ is the most constant. These results support that the relation is reasonable.

  • Muilti-dimensional feature vector matching algorithm uses multiple features such as intensity, gradient, variance, first or second derivative of a pixel to find correspondence pixels in stereo images. In this paper, we proposed a new method for adjusting automatically the weight of feature in multi-dimensional feature vector matching considering sharpeness of a pixel in feature vector distance curve. The sharpeness consists of minimum and maximum vector distances of a small window mask. In the experiment we used IKONOS satellite stereo imagery and obtained accurate matching results comparable to the manual weight-adjusting method.

  • This paper presents an automatic calibration technique for piezoelectric low pressure transducer, which is useful to measure a pressure within 500 psi. This system with automatic calibration function and error correction algorithm generates standard dynamic pressure for the calibration of sensor. With the compensation for the offset voltage and the pressure error, the accuracy and the usefulness of the proposed scheme is validated.

  • Drop size is one of the most important parameters which are control the performance of the engine using liquid fuel/oxidizer and drop formation is mainly controlled by aerodynamic force caused by ambient gas. Because of this, empirical data and correlation acquired under standard ambient condition are not valid. So experiments under high ambient pressure condition to measure the drop size using image processing method And find the empirical correlation between SMD and chamber pressure(density), injection velocity.

  • Based on the Kepco's standard supply terms, the customer should pay for installation the regulating device or protective device which are granted by Kepco in case the customer hinder other customer's electricity usage or it may cause the interruption because of harmonics or waveform distortion. It is necessary to consider the phase angle of voltage, current for harmonics so we can set up the measure of harmonic damages.

  • Given the specific mean shift outlier model, the standard approaches to obtaining test statistics for outliers are discussed. Accuracy of outlier tests is investigated using subset curvatures. These subset curvatures appear to be reliable indicators of the adequacy of the linearization based test. Also, we consider obtaining graphical summaries of uncertainty in estimating parameters through confidence curves. The results are applied to the problem of assessing the accuracy of outlier tests.
