사회기반시설물의 내진설계기준 개선방향에 대한 고찰 (A Discussion on the Improvement of Seismic Design Criteria of Infrastructures)

  • This study reviews the status and validity of seismic design criteria (SDC) for major facilities in Korea, which are composed of performance criteria and technical standard. Various facilities with different seismic design response spectra are analyzed to identify their seismic performance and necessity of eventual retrofit. The results are used to derive improvement directions of SDC. It is also concluded that the technical standard should be improved after the revision of the performance criteria.

국내 절토 비탈면 설계기준의 해석적 평가 (Analytical Evaluation on Design Criteria for Cut Slopes)

  • 강우시의 비탈면 설계에서는 강우특성변화에 따라 지하수위가 지표면에 위치하는 것으로 가정한다. 또한, 안정성 검토는 비탈면 설계시 대절토 비탈면을 대상으로 수행하는 반면, 안정성 검토가 수행되지 않는 비탈면에 대해서는 설계기준에 규정된 표준 경사가 적용된다. 강화된 지하수위 적용기준에도 불구하고 강우시 비탈면의 규모와 관계없이 비탈면 붕괴가 지속적으로 발생되고 있다. 붕괴원인을 조사하기 위하여 본 연구에서는 지반 조건별로 건기시와 우기시에 대하여 국내 시방기준에서 제안하고 있는 토사 비탈면의 표준경사에 대하여 안정성을 검토하였다. 시방기준에서 제시된 비탈면 표준경사는 건기시나 우기시 모두 안정해야 함에도 불구하고, 검토 결과는 많은 경우에서 기준 안전율이 얻어지지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 건기시의 경우는 전체 검토대상 조건에 대하여 약 50% 이상, 우기시의 경우 약 65% 이상이 기준 안전율을 만족하지 못하였다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 본 논문은 현 설계기준의 문제점을 지적하고 대책수립을 위한 방안을 제안하고 있다.

  • The Stability Criteria adopted by the 1969 Standard Ship Design Committee of the Society of Naval Architects are presented and discussed from a personal point of view. The Stability criteria are derived primarily from a similar standard now in practice in Japan expect the design wind condition and a addition of a buoyancy standard.

Overall studies on the IMO manoeuvrability standard and problems arising in application of the criteria of it to various kinds of vessels

  • The IMO manoeuvrability standard was established for preventing sea accidents such as collisions and strandings due to the lack of manoeuvrability. The standard of ship manoeuvrability enforced by resolution MSC.l37(76) has been applied to vessels of 100m or more in length and all chemical tankers and gas carriers regardless of the length, which were constructed on or after 1 July 1994. The IMO manoeuvrability standard is able to be divided into three kinds as followings; (1) Turning capability standard: Estimated values in design stage are to be certified by turning circle test of the actual vessel. (2) Course keeping quality standard : Estimated values in design stage are to be certified by 10 deg. and 20 deg. zig-zag tests of the actual vessel. (3) Shortest stopping distance standard : Estimated value in design stage is to be certified by the shortest stopping distance tested by the actual vessel. In this paper, the authors verified the criteria of IMO manoeuvrability standard comparing them with the values resulted from sea trial tests of various kinds of actual vessels and examined separately the validity of all criteria of the standard.

  • This paper explores and proposes the evaluation criteria of design projects in the entry-level design course. In the entry-level engineering design course the students proceeds various design projects to understand the concept of engineering design process and to develop the creativity. The evaluation criteria of design projects is very important component because the outcome of students in the engineering design course are effected from the evaluation criteria that enforces the students to focus on doing their task. According to this case study the evaluation criteria can be good solution to evaluate the design projects. By the outcome standard of ABEEK on the entry-level engineering design course the evaluation criteria was selected with the results of design projects such as design plan, report, handicrafts, objectives.

  • Precast Concrete apartments were main stream of domestic industrialized housing around 90's , and Steel Houses applying Steel Stud technique with light weighted steel have been dominant portion since 1995. On the other hand, various building techniques including Steel Stud method and highly prefabricated and industrialized Unit method are prevailing in developed countries like Japan. Steel stud and Unit Box have their own merits an demerits, but the more crucial aspect is that the constant design standard should be applied in each design procedure. It entails the necessity of industrial housing development on the Open System basis. In this study, the design standard for Unit house will be established coping with the established preparing standard for design specifications defined by Architectural Law and Promotion Law of Housing Construction. That is for design standard of industrialized private housing on the Open System basis.

헬리컬 파일 설계식 고도화 연구 (Advancement in Design Criteria of Helical Pile)

  • 국내는 유럽에서 널리 사용하고 있는 헬리컬 파일을 많이 사용하기 시작하였지만, 헬리컬 파일의 설계기준을 만들려고 하는 노력이 부족하여, 여전히 헬리컬 파일의 표준설계기준을 가지고 있지 못하다. 따라서, 본 연구는 현장에서 헬리컬 파일을 시공하고 재하시험을 실시한 후, 이전 데이터를 포함하여 신뢰도 분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과 매입 말뚝에 대한 도로교설계기준 식이 수정 Davisson 분석법과 연계하여 좋은 신뢰도와 일관성을 보여주었는데, 이 설계식의 저항편향계수가 '1.0'에 가까웠고 변동성도 '낮음' 수준을 보여 주었기 때문이다.

  • Purpose: As the concerns for the environment are gradually prioritized, increasing interests of environment-friendly buildings are drawn. The Green Standard for Energy & Environmental Design (G-SEED) has been strengthened. However, there are no specific assessment criteria that reflect the special situation of healthcare facility. UK, US and Japan have green building certifications specially designed to evaluate sustainable healthcare facilities. This study has been started in order to provide basic information for developing assessment criteria for healthcare facilities in Korean Green Standard for Energy and Environmental Design. Methods: In this study, we investigated three foreign green building certifications and compared their assessment system and criteria for healthcare buildings. Results: Each of the three foreign certification standards showed the difference in the system, but all contained the contents specific to healthcare facilities. Evaluation items were affected by regional cultural environment and also medical environment. Patient safety and integrative planning were the most important assessment contents. Implications: Based on this analysis, Korean Green Standard for Energy & Environmental Design for healthcare facilities will be developed.
