After investigating repeatedly results obtained through gear stress analysis, we make a determination of an optimal gear shape. But its design process was not only complex but also difficult to get a precise profile curve from operating by hand. In this study, relating shape of gear profile curves was generated automatically with standard spur gear, equivalent helical gear, shifted gear & pinion by using developed program which is using Auto_LISP language in Auto-CAD. This program which can design rapidly gear shapes will successfully support gear designing and manufacturing fur Small & Medium companies.

When we construct an interval estimate of two independent proportions with rare events, the standard approach based on the normal approximation behaves badly in many cases. The problem becomes more severe when no success observations are observed on both groups. In this paper, we compare two alternative methods of constructing a confidence interval of the difference of two independent proportions by use of simulation. One is based on the profile likelihood and the other is the Bayesian probability interval. It is shown in this paper that the Bayesian interval estimator is easy to be implemented and performs almost identical to the best frequentist's method -the profile likelihood approach.

The consecutive 35 patients underwent isolated aortic valve replacement with the low-profile model of the Ionescu-Shiley pericardial xenograft valve from 1984 to 1991. Operative mortality was 2.9%, and early survivors were followed up for a total 136.1 patient-years[Mean$\pm$SD, 4.00$\pm$2.14 years]. The linearized late mortality was 2.204% /pt-yr. Three patients required rereplacement of the valve with overall valve failure rate of 2.204% /pt-yr: two for endocarditis and one for paravalvular leak. There was no case of primary tissue failure. The linearized annual rates of complication were: thromboembolism 0.735% /pt-yr, bleeding 0.735%pt-yr, and endocarditis 2.204% /pt-yr. The actuarial survival at 8 years of follow-up was 90.4$\pm$5.3%, and the probabilities of freedom from thromboembolism and from rereplacement were 95.6$\pm$4.4% and 88.2$\pm$6.7% at 8 years respectively. Although the low profile Ionescu-Shiley pericardial valve provided favorable clinical performance comparable with the standard model up to 8 years, it needs prolonged follow-up to assess the pattern of its durability.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the chronologic changes of the soft tissue profile in 6 to 11 years children. The author analyzed 174 cephalometric roentgenograms of 13 boys and 16 girls taken from the ages of 6 to 11 to assess the growth changes of the soft tissue profile. The results were obtained as follow: 1. Means, standard deviation and coefficient of variation of children were obtained. 2. Items which showed difference between males and females in longitudinal study were prn. Sn. A', and Ls that were greater than females variation. 3. With age, thickness of the soft tissue were increased except Ls. 4. Nasolabial angle and facial convexity had no significant change with age and sex.

This paper descries the effect of the stylus tip size on the measuring error in surface topography measurement. To analyze the distortional effect of an actual surface geometry originating from the finite stylus size, the surface is modeled as a sinusoid and the stylus tip as a circle. the measuring error is defined as the ratio of the standard deviation of a tracing profile and an original profile. It is shown that this measuring error depends on the amplitude and wavelength of an original profile. In this paper, the spectrum analysis is applied to investigate the distortional effect due to the mechanical filtering of the stylus in the frequency domain. and, the cumulative power spectrum is applied to determinate the minimum wavelength limits to be measured with the various stylus tip radius from these results, a new method to select proper stylus tip radius is proposed.

본 논문은 의료영상진단시스템에서의 의료정보보호를 위한TLS 프로세서의 구현에 관하여 기술하였다. DICOM 3.0 standard의 ‘Part 15. DICOM Security Profile’에서는 TLS와 ISCL 두 가지의 Secure Transport Connection Profile을 정의하고 있고, 인증, 데이터의 무결성 보장, 프리아버시 보호의 기능을 할 수 있도록 몇가지의 알고리즘을 사용할 것을 정의하고 있다. 그 중 TLS Security Profile에는 Triple DES CBC모드와, RSA and SHA를 정의하고 있다. 그리하여 본 논문에서는 세 알고리즘의 개별적인 동작 검증을 마친 후 통합된 TLS Processor를 설계하고 검증하였다. 일반적인 Mux만을 이용한 설계는 임베디드 시스템 적용에 있어서 면적을 많이 차지하는 단점이 나타났다. 따라서 면적을 많이 차지하는 레지스터를 줄이기 위해서 세 알고리즘 블록이 같은 레지스터를 공유하도록 설계하였다. 그리고 임베디드시스템 개발 키트인 IFC-ETK100장비의 FPGA에 회로를 올리고 검증하였다.

Gear design carried in former type determined a few variables like module, pressure angle, helix angle. After investigating repeatedly results obtained through stress analysis and making a determination an optimal shape, but its design process was not only complex but also difficult to get a precise profile curve from operating by hand. In this study, rotating shape of gear profile curves were generated automatically with standard spur gear, equivalent helical gear, shifted gear & pinion by using developed program which is Auto_LISP language supported in Auto-CAD. Output tooth profile by using CAE program is applied as Preprocessor for stress analysis in each contact points. This program which can be determined rapidly an optimal shape of gear will be successfully supported for Small & Medium companies designing and manufacturing gears by using Auto-CAD.

The auther studied the open-bite of Hellman dental age IIIC groups of Korean childern on the roentgenocephalometry. The subjects consisted of 45 males and 45 females with normal occlusion and acceptable profile. The major conclusions may be listed as follows: 1. This study was summerized in the form of tables, mean, standard deviation, minium and maximum for 35 angular, linear and ration measurements. 2. Charts of standard deviation from the mesurements were made for the clinical application.

The authors studied the open bite of 100 Korean adults of both sexes with normal occlusion aged 20~23 using profile cephalometric roentgenogram. 1. This study was summarized in the form of tables, mean, standard deviation, minimum and maximum for 18 angular measurements. 2. For the clinical application of this research standard deviation chart for the 12 angles suitable to the study of open bite.
