  • In this paper, the raid and fire preventable system using Zibee module with IEEE 802.15.4 wireless communication standard and multi-sensor was developed displaying raid and firing condition with wireless network. The raid preventable system is designed using a ultrasonhe waves sensor and infrared sensor. The fire preventable system is designed using a thermistor. The datas for raid and firing condition are communicated from enddevice to coordinator with wireless network and are displayed on PC monitor.

  • Gear design carried in former type determined a few variables like module, pressure angle, helix angle. After investigating repeatedly results obtained through stress analysis and making a determination an optimal shape, but its design process was not only complex but also difficult to get a precise profile curve from operating by hand. In this study, rotating shape of gear profile curves were generated automatically with standard spur gear, equivalent helical gear, shifted gear & pinion by using developed program which is Auto_LISP language supported in Auto-CAD. Output tooth profile by using CAE program is applied as Preprocessor for stress analysis in each contact points. This program which can be determined rapidly an optimal shape of gear will be successfully supported for Small & Medium companies designing and manufacturing gears by using Auto-CAD.

Implementation of MPEG-21 DIA Utility Software for Stereoscopic Video Adaptation

  • This paper presents recent works of the development of MPEG-21 DIA utility software as one of MPEG-21 activities. The main purpose of this work is to make integrated utility software for DIA C/C++ modules in a Java framework. To do this, JNI plays a role of the interface of a main module with C/C++ DIA adaptation modules. Furthermore, DIA and DID parsers are integrated to the utility software. Our software is designed such that all DIA modules are easily integrated. A variety of adaptation modules have been adopted in MPEG-21 standard. Among them, stereoscopic video conversion that is one of DIA adaptation modules is chosen and we show that our utility software is correctly implemented based on experiments.

  • In this paper, the ideal standard design and construction of plant factory systems with the Green IT technologies is proposed. For feasibility and problem analysis, a container-type plant factory which was integrated with hardware and software of elemental technologies was operated as a test bed. This operation testing and research will be the foundation of the future construction and operation of large plant factories.

  • This paper presents the development and validation methods of the FUTURE (FUel cycle analysis Tool for nUcleaR Energy) code, which was developed for a dynamic material flow evaluation and economic analysis of the nuclear fuel cycle. This code enables an evaluation of a nuclear material flow and its economy for diverse nuclear fuel cycles based on a predictable scenario. The most notable virtue of this FUTURE code, which was developed using C# and MICROSOFT SQL DBMS, is that a program user can design a nuclear fuel cycle process easily using a standard process on the canvas screen through a drag-and-drop method. From the user's point of view, this code is very easy to use thanks to its high flexibility. In addition, the new code also enables the maintenance of data integrity by constructing a database environment of the results of the nuclear fuel cycle analyses.

  • In this study, which is the basis for industrial presses to target small and medium enterprises with production information system is designed. Production information in real time on-site digitizing and transmitting data to a standard PC is to base operations. Personnel management, safety management, production management is to increase the efficiency. Therefore, at low cost is to encourage computerization within the company. These embedded systems and wireless communication module has a database management program installed in order to raise productivity and competitiveness will improve.

  • To Establish of standard technique of length measurent in 2D plane, we develope AFM system. The XY scanner scans the sample only in XY plane, while the Z scanner scans the specimen only in Z-direction. Cantilever tip is controlled to has constant height relative to speciman surface by feedback of PSPD signal. To acquire high accuracy, Z-axis measuring sensor will be added.(COXI or others). In this paper we design XYZ stage suitable for this AEM system. For XY stage, single module parallel-kinnematic flexure stage is used which has high orthogonality and minimum out-of-plane motion. To obtain best performance optimal design is performed. For XY stage, to be robust about parasitic motion optimal design of maximizing Z and tilt stiffness is performed under the constraint of motion range and stage size. And for Z stage, optimal design of maximizing 1st resonant frequency is performed. Because if resonant frequency is get higher, scan speed is improved. So it makes reduce the error by sensor drift. Resultly XYZ stage each have 1st natural frequency of 115㎐, 201㎐, 2.66㎑ and range 109㎛, 110㎛, 12㎛.

  • In this paper, we design, implement and apply network physical layer to 100 BaseFx optical cable interface module based on industrial ethernet protocol EtherCAT that has ensure its open standard ethernet compatibility which haying been provided with real time of control in network of intelligent service robot, can process numerous data to sensor and motor control system. Through various tests, we try to propose suitability as internal network of intelligent service robot.

  • The efficient use of capital intensive FMS requires determination of effective dispatching priority with which the parts of the selected part types are to be inputed into the system. This paper presents a simulation-optimization approach to find an appropriate dispatching priority. The study is based on a detailed simulator for a module-type commercial FMS, Specifically, after presenting the basic configuration and fundamental control logic of the system together with its main characteristics as a special type of a job shop, an algorithm is presented which combines simulated annealing and simulation to explore a dispatching priority of operations that minimizes the total tardiness, Computational performance of the algorithm shows that good solutions can be obtained within a reasonable amount of computations. The paper also compares the performance of the "optimal" or near optimal dispatching priority generated by the proposed algorithm with those generated by standard dispatching rules such as SPT, EDD and SLACK.

  • The purpose of this paper is to establish a method of design of the Ultrasonic Motor for Driving Robot Hand. This method is based on two models for the ultrasonic motor(a two dimensional elastic contact model. electric equivalent circuit). And analyzed the basic model which installed in the module to match the suitable standard. As varied external diameter, internal diameter and thickness, the proper ultrasonic motor is implemented to find a targeted resonant-frequency and torque near to designed values.
