Operating Characteristics of High Speed PM Synchronous Generator for Microturbine (마이크로터빈용 고속 영구자석 동기발전기 운전 특성)

  • Distributed generation(DG) using microturbine will be adopted widely because of its various usages and merits such as high heat efficiency, environmental-friendliness. Commercialized DG using microtubine that rotates up to $60,000\~100,000[rpm]$ converters mechanical power to electricity by permanent magnet synchronous machine. This paper presents comparative test and simulation results of PMSM as generator. Test was done by diode rectifier and inverter. Parameters used in the simulation are driven from FEM analysis. Under various speed and load conditions, V-I characteristics matches well and it suggests the possibility of high speed PMSM as generator. DG operating at stand alone and grid connection mode will be developed.

  • 태양광 발전 시스템은 계통 전원을 공급받지 못하는 도서 지역이나 산간 지역 등에서 배터리 등의 에너지 저장장치를 연계하여 독립적으로 부하에 전력을 공급할 수 있다. 둘 이상의 태양광 패널을 이용해 독립 운전시에 에너지 발전률을 높이기 위해서는 전력 조절기 출력단의 DC 링크의 전압을 일정하게 유지시켜줄 태양광 패널과 MPPT 동작을 수행하는 패널 간의 상호 간섭에 대해서 고려하여야 한다. 본 논문에서는 두 개 이상의 태양광 모듈을 이용한 독립운전 시스템에서 안정된 DC-링크 전압동작을 보장하는 태양광 패널 및 전력 조절기의 설계 및 해석을 위해 태양전지 제어를 위한 태양전지 특성과 전력조절기의 제어 특성에 대해 알아보고자 한다.

  • This paper presents a current-source-inverter based on a buck-boost configuration and its application for residential photovoltaic system. The proposed circuit has five switches. Among them, only one switch acts as chopping, and the other determine the polarity of output; therefore, it can reduce the switching loss. Because the input inductor current is operated on the discontinuous conduction mode, high power factor can be achieved without additional input current controller. So the overall system shows a simple structure. The operational modes are analysed in depth, and then it was verified through the experimental results using a 150 [W] prototype equipped with digital signal processor TMS320F241.

  • The power system of leisure ship has a character of stand-alone type, so it continuously checks the usable power. Especially, the leisure ship using renewable energy needs to adjust the power consumption of loads according to the usable power. Also, the important loads of leisure ship are different by operation mode. However, current power management system doesnot consider such character. This paper studied load management system of the SPMS(Smart Power Management System) and composed using the smart plug. The SPMS controls the loads depending on a user's pattern and character through variable priority number control. This control algorithm was verified through simulation of assumed user and situation using LabVIEW.

  • 연료전지용 대용량 PCS는 다수의 인버터가 병렬로 구성되어 있으며, 계통에 연계하여 운전하거나 혹은 계통에 이상이 발생할 경우 독립운전모드로 운전해야 한다. 독립운전모드로 동작할 경우 각 인버터의 전류가 달라 불평형이 발생할 수 있으므로 부하 분담 제어가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 부하 임피던스를 추정하여 각 인버터의 출력 지령을 계산하여 출력 전압을 제어하는 알고리즘을 제안하고, 시험을 통해 검증하였다. Master 인버터는 출력 주파수 및 전압을 제어하며, Slave 인버터는 PLL을 이용하여 출력 주파수를 추종하여 전류제어를 수행한다. 제안한 알고리즘을 검증하기 위해 대용량 PCS의 성능 검증장치를 구축하고, 제어 성능을 확인하였다.

  • The Global Positioning System(GPS) and the Strapdown Inertial Navigation System(SDINS) techniques have been widely utilized in many applications. However each system has its own weak point when used in a stand-alone mode. SDINS suffers from fast error accumulation dependent on an operating time while GPS has problem of cycle slips and just provides low update rate. The best solution is to integrate the GPS and SDINS system and its integration allows compensation for each shortcomings. This paper, first, is to define and derive error equations of integrated SDINS/GPS system before it will be applied on a real hardware system with gyro, accelerometer and GPS receiver. Second, the accuracy, availability and performance of this mechanization are verified on the simulation study.

  • As GNSS(Global Navigation Satellite System) is used in various filed, many countries establish GNSS system independently. But GNSS system has the limitation of accuracy and stability in stand-alone mode, because this system has error elements which are ionospheric delay, tropospheric delay, orbit ephemeris error, satellite clock error, and etc. For overcome of accuracy limitation, the DGPS(Differential GPS) and RTK(Real-Time Kinematic) systems are proposed. These systems perform relative positioning using the reference and user receivers. ETRI(Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute) is developing precision navigation system in point of extension of GNSS usage. The precision navigation system is for providing the precision navigation solution to common users. If this technology is developed, GNSS system can be used in the fields which require precision positioning and control. In this paper, we introduce the precision navigation system and perform design and algorithm verification.

  • Henry-Fauske critical flow model was incorporated into TRAC-PF1 to correct some errors in the original TRAC-PFI critical flow model. Henry-Fouske mode1 was numerically implemented and tested against steady-state steam-water experimental data. The model was incorporated into TRAC-PFI and code assessment against Marviken Critical Flow Tests 15 and 24 was carried out. Calculations using RELAP5/MOD3 were also made for comparison. Ten cases were calculated each test and sensitivity study on nodalization as well as critical flow or model was performed Stand-alone numerical model test and code assessment were done for verification and validation of code modification. Calculation results show that the modified version of TRAC-PF1 has a capability to model critical flow correctly in various conditions.

New Techology of Intercompany Information Communication: Development of EDI System (기업간 정보 통신의 신기술)

  • Electronic data interchange (EDI) is a new technology of information communication which can make offices paperless. This study develop an EDI system to communicate informations among companies using computer systems. The system consists of five modules-document I/O, translation, system management, communication, and additional modules. The database of EDI documentation standards has been constructed by the table-driven method. The communication module provides three communication modes-RS232C, MODEM, and message handling system (MHS). The system performance has been improved by the method of data compression and data encryption which prevent the communication delay and illegal users. This EDI system can be used as a front-end, back-end, or stand-alone mode.

  • 본 논문에서는 50kW 디젤발전기를 MATLAB/SIMULINK를 이용해 모델링 하였으며, 독립운전을 통해 배터리에 전력을 공급하는 시스템을 시뮬레이션 하였다. 독립운전에서의 디젤발전기 제어기는 주파수를 제어하는 조속기와 전압을 제어하는 여자기로 구성되어 있으며, 액추에이터와 디젤엔진 등은 응답 속도를 고려한 시정수를 갖는 시지연 함수로써 모델링하였다. 디젤발전기에서 CVCF 제어를 통해 BESS(Battery Energy Storage System)에 전력을 공급할 때, 디젤발전기와 BESS 측의 전압 특성을 분석하였다.
