  • In this paper, cycle performance analysis of two-stage compression and two-stage expansion refrigeration system using alternative freon refrigerants is presented to offer the basic design data for the operating parameters of the system. Alternative freon refrigerant for freon refrigerant R22 were used as working fluids in this study. The operating parameters considered in this study included evaporation temperature, condensation temperature, subcooling degree, superheating degree, and mass flow rate ratio of inter-cooler. The main results were summarized as follows : The COP of two-stage compression and two-stage expansion refrigeration system increases with the increasing subcooling degree and mass flow rate ratio of inter-cooler, but decreases with the increasing evaporating temperature, condensing temperature and superheating degree. Therefore, subcooling degree, mass flow rate ratio of inter-cooler of two-stage compression and two-stage expansion refrigeration system using alternative freon refrigerants have an effect on COP of this system.

  • In this paper, we propose two-stage multichannel architecture for oyster product management system, called cloud stage and agent stage. There are two communication channels at each stage. In cloud stage, the embedded system in the smart scale communicates with the server through two channels, Ethernet or 3G/LTE mobile communication. In agent stage, PCs and smart phones called agents communicate with the server also through Internet and 3G/LTE mobile communication. Compared with previous system in which the amount of the oyster produced in oyster workplaces could be monitored only at the console of only one oyster main server, developed system makes it possible to monitor the amount of produced oyster at several PCs (or smart phones). In addition to the amount of oysters produced at all oyster workplaces the environment of oyster workplaces such as temperature and humidity can be monitored on agents to judge the freshness. Two-stage architecture with multiple channels makes it possible to monitor the amount of oyster product and environment of the oyster workplace at any place in real time.

  • In this paper, cycle performance analysis of R744($CO_2$) two-stage compression and one-stage expansion refrigeration system is presented to offer the basic design data for the operating parameters of the system. The operating parameters considered in this study include superheating degree, compressor efficiency, gas cooling pressure, mass flowrate ratio, outlet temperature of gas cooler and evaporating temperature in the carbon dioxide two-stage refrigeration cycle. The main results were summarized as follows : The cooling capacity of two-stage compression and one-stage expansion refrigeration system increases with the increasing superheating degree, compressor efficiency and gas cooling pressure, but decreases with the increasing mass flowrate ratio and evaporating temperature. The compression work of two-stage compression and one-stage expansion refrigeration system increases with the increasing superheating degree, outlet temperature of gas cooler, gas cooling pressure and evaporating temperature, but decreases with the increasing compressor efficiency and mass flowrate ratio. The COP of two-stage compression and one-stage expansion refrigeration system increases with the increasing compressor efficiency, but decreases with the increasing superheating degree, gas cooling pressure, mass flowrate ratio and evaporating temperature. • This paper considers the problem of determining an optimal dynamic operating policy for a two-stage tandem queueing service system in which the service facilities (or stages) can be operated at more than one service rate. At each period of the system's operation, the system manager must specify which of the available service rates is to be employed at each stage. The cost structure includes an operating cost for running each stage and a service facility profit earned when a service completion occurs at Stage 2. We assume that the system has a finite waiting capacity in front of each station and each customer requires two services which must be done in sequence, that is, customers must pass through Stage 1 and Stage 2 in that order. Processing must be in the order of arrival at each station. The objective is to minimize the total discounted expected cost in a two-stage tandem queueing service system, which we formulate as a Discrete-Time Markov Decision Process. We present analytical and numerical results that specify the form of the optimal dynamic operating policy for a two-stage tandem queueing service system.

  • In this paper, we address an active vibration control system, which suppresses the vibration engaged by magnetically levitated stage. The stage system consists of a levitating platen with four permanent magnetic linear synchronous motors in parallel. Each motor generates vertical force fer suspension against gravity and propulsion force horizontally as well. This stage can generate six degrees of freedom motion via the vertical and horizontal forces. In the stage system, which represents the settling-time critical system. the motion of the platen vibrates mechanically. We designed an active vibration control system for suppressing vibration due to the stage moving. The command feedforward with inertial feedback algorithm is used fer solving stage system's critical problems. The components of the active vibration control system are accelerometers for detecting stage table's vibrations, a digital controller with high precise signal converters, and electromagnetic actuators.

  • The key role of performance facilities is to provide the stage shape and stage system suitable for the purpose and the property of public performance. The purpose of this study is to draw comparison analysis about the stage construction and stage machine system of the specialty theater or the multiple purpose performance facilities. The progress of the research is as followings. 1. Investigation into literature and catching on physical composition in the performing facilities, 2. Analysis of the stage organization, items of performance, construction form of stage machine systems, conversion system of the analysis samples, 3. A suggestion of the standard model of stage by each scales, through the such continuous analysis. And it was founded that the relation of stage composition, production type, stage system and distribution, and also the basic data between each elements. On the basis of the results, this study proposes the data and the application methods in domestic performance space when we are setting up the plan of performance facilities.

  • For improving performance of heat pump system, researcher has adapted 2-stage economizer cycle and developed a high-efficiency screw compressor, new working medium(non-azeotropic mixed refrigerant) and counterflow heat exchangers operating with a small temperature difference. Target of this study is development of high performance heat pump system with the 2-stage economizer system using the non-azeotropic mixed refrigerant. For the purpose of excuting target, we constucted computer simulation programs, compared and examed various types of cycle and non-azeotropic mixture. Based on the results from computer simulation we selected optimum mixtures and reflected design and production process of performance test equipment with the 1-stage econmizer system. In order to accomplish the final target, design and production of the 2-stage economizer system, we performed pilot test using the 1-stage economizer performance test system and finally design and production of the 2-stage economizer system.

  • Recently, a ultra-precision stage is widely used in the fields of the nano-technology, specially in AFMs(Atomic Force Microscope) and STMs(Scanning Tunneling Microscope). In this paper, the ultra-precision stage which consists of flexure hinges, piezoelectric actuator and ultra-precision linear encoder, is designed and developed. The system transfer function of the ultra-precision stage system was derived from the step responses of the system using system identification tool. A $H_{\infty}$ controller was designed using loop shaping method to have robustness for the system uncertainty and external disturbances. For the designed controller, simulations were performed and it was applied to the ultra-precision stage system. From the experimental results it was found that this stage could be controlled with less than 5nm resolution irrespective of hysteresis and creep.
