Although studies on the development of cool touch fabrics have been conducted widely, the effects of fitted pattern on enhancing the cooling sensation are insufficient. To investigate the effect of cool-touch fabric and fit of women's sports underwear, 3D and 2D patterns of sleeveless top and sports leggings were constructed. The performance of cool touch was tested by the Qmax value and wear test with nine subjects. Objective fit evaluation was observed by 3D virtual clothing using Clo software. Subjects rated wearing sensation such as 'cooling sensation, fit, wear comfort and preferences of purchase' using Likert's scale in the environmental chamber at $25^{\circ}C$, 45 %RH. The Qmax value of the cool touch fabric was higher than that of the PET fabric, which was well reflected in 'cooling sensation', especially in the case of a tight-fitted 3D pattern. The cooling sensation of the cool-touch fabric was not significantly elevated with 3D tight pattern as long as the size of the 2D pattern was similar to that of 3D pattern. However, the purchase preference was highly correlated with 3D fit and wear comfort.
This study aimed to analyze consumers' acceptance of sports applications and smart sportswear to better design technology-enhanced walking exercise wear for the Baby Boomer generation based on their cohort characteristics. A questionnaire with items related to acceptance of existing smart sportswear design, functionality, and usability as well as existing sports application design, functionality, and usability was sent to consumers aged 50-65. Of 163 questionnaires distributed, 150 were used for analysis. The results showed that middle-aged consumers were aware of smart sportswear's functional stability, but were concerned about care, durability, and convenience. Middle-aged consumers were also aware of sports applications as educational functions for obtaining new information. Additionally, they found sports applications to have lower perceived convenience and accessibility relative to the young generation, highlighting the need for simple instructions and explanations for sports application planning. Based on these results, we propose "Everyday design for general sportswear," "Functions based on consumer's preference," "Enhanced design for durability and management convenience" for designing and planning walking exercise wear for middle-aged consumers, and "Convenient application organization" and "Educational exercise contents" for application planning for walking exercises.

As people have gained leisure time and become more interested in sports, various industries catering to these sports, including aquatic and underwater activities are growing. Many people are getting into scuba diving, where people can explore the sea at depths of more than 40-meters. Despite the increasing demand, there are limited studies on the sport. This study aims to provide basic research on materials suitable for developing technical scuba diving suits by analyzing several areas, such as design, material, sewing patterns, etc. The following trends were observed in all wetsuits: closure designs, ergonomic patterns, practical and functional details. Neoprene was the primary material of diving suits, and various functional materials were attached to the outer fabric or lining. The seam technique which minimized water contact and improved durability was sewing. Various techniques were also applied, such as flatlock stitching, GBS, LFS, etc. Subsequent studies shall investigate consumer preference etc. and other aspects, and continue to allow for the research and development of technical diving suits.

Purpose: This study was done to compare of adult body composition and body image before and after regular exercise program at a sports center. Method: The participants were 32 adults who were beginning regular exercise at a sports center in D city. The body composition was measured by body weight, soft lean mass, fat mass, percent body fat, fat distribution, degree of obesity and BMI, using the Inbody 3.0. Body image. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and analyzed using paired t-test. Results: 1. Significant improvement was shown in body composition. 2. The score for body image increased after the program, but the change was not statistically significant. Conclusion: The short-term exercise program was very effective in improving body composition, but changes in the evaluation of body image need long-term exercise. Also, we were concluded that it is very important to consider preference level when evaluating body composition and body image.

With the advent of age that people spend more time and money on leisure activities, there is increasing interest in professional sport games. The location of large scale sport facilities has substantial impacts on existing transportation pattern because the facility attracts and generates massive traffic volume within a short period of time. This study aims to develop a mode choice model of leisure trips of which the destinations are a sport facility. A structured SP (stated preference) survey questionnaires were developed through an experimental design, and professional sport spectators were asked to state their preference in the choice of transport mode to the sport facility. The survey results show that public transportation is preferred to passenger cars for their trip to big sports event, implying that the convenience of back home trip after the event is an important factor of their mode choice. This study is a rare research on the trip pattern to sports complex in Korea, which provides policy implications on the provision of mass transit including subway system to large scale sport complexes. And it is also expected that this study contributes to future researches on leisure trip pattern.

The purpose of this study is to explore factors influencing them and properties of exercise behaviors among rural elderly in Korea. To implementing it, data were gathered from a total of 356 elderly aged 65 and over living at the Seniors Well-being Villages being developed by the Rural Development Administration in Korea, using the structured questionnaires. also, data were analyzed by the SPSS / windows program. Results show that the exercise behavior of rural elderly was medium level as the average of 3.06 score($1{\sim}5$ score) and 44.2 percent among them didn't exercise regularly and 66.8% didn't participate in sports groups. Second, there were the difference in exercise behavior according to sex and age. Specifically, elderly men exercised more regularly and were aware of proper exercise methods than elderly women. However, there were no difference in exercise behavior according to age. Third, when we analyzed the difference in exercise behavior with the regularity of execution, the elderly who exercise regularly showed higher preference, awareness of necessity, regularity of execution, execution of stretching, participation in sports gatherings and awareness of proper methods than the counterparts. Fourth, we found that unhealthy elderly were more aware of necessity of exercise, exercised regularly, and participated in sports groups frequently than healthy elderly. Also, there was a positive influence of regularity of execution on exercise behavior. These results suggested that regular exercising is very important in health of rural elderly. This study aims to contribute to the development of sports wearables. It was conducted by a convergence team of professionals in the fashion industry, kinesiology and sports studies, and computer science and engineering. The purpose of the current study was to design and develop a fabric-type fitness band for a sensor to measure acceleration during jump rope exercises. Computer science and engineering professionals developed the Arduino board and sensor, kinesiology and sports studies provided the necessary exercise protocol, and the fashion industry professionals developed the band. First, a fitness band preference survey was completed by men and women between the ages of 20 and 50. Typical uses of the band included tracking exercise amount as measured by the number of steps taken and calories burned. Strap watch closure, a single color and achromatic color, and soft and smooth touch materials were preferred as band design. Second, two fabric-type fitness bands were designed and developed. Design 1 had a 3-dimensional pocket for the sensor, bright blue color, and stretch binding around the edges and for a loop. Design 2 had a flat pocket for the sensor, achromatic color, mesh binding around the edges and two metal loops. Both designs had Velcro as a closure. Third, wear testing of both bands with the sensor were conducted of 15 women in their 20s. They wore the bands during jump rope exercises. Both bands generally satisfied the participants. The Design 2 band was slightly more satisfying than the Design 1 band.

The main purpose of this study was to identify the current awareness and preference on the promotions of products in Korean professional baseball teams. For this study, the subjects were randomly selected where they have experienced purchasing any products in the Korean professional baseball stadium. Totally, 520 subjects were asked to answer the questionnaire relevant to the current awareness and preference of promotion of products. There were 11 questions for the current awareness and 14 questions for the preference on the promotion of products. The data gathered was determined within a frequency analysis, an independent sample T-test and one-way ANOVA tests. The results were discussed when the p-value were lest than .05. There were a couple of results found throughout this study. Firstly, there were no significant differences of the current awareness between gender. Secondly, there were significant differences of the preference on the promotion between age(p<.05). Especially, there were significant differences on the value of products and price between 20's, 30's and 40's groups. Thirdly, there were significant differences of the preference on the promotion between level of earing per year statistically(p<.05). In addition, there were significant differences on the price of products between 2000-2500 million won, 2500-3000 million won and 4000 million won groups. Consequently, the product promotion by the Korean professional baseball teams has to be more variety and structured.

Owing to the rapid increase of the number of automobiles, the traffic is being heavily crippled as time goes by. To provide drivers with better safety and convenience, a variety of CNSs(Car Navigation System) are being installed more and more specially for the vehicles which are produced in recent days. As the CNS has gained the public popularity, it has been playing a role as a component of the multimedia system in a vehicle in addition to providing the capability of route guidance service. It is, therefore, now recognized as an important unit of the vehicle interior system. As the situation has been changed as formerly described, it is necessary that not only the functions but also the usability and exterior features are to be designed to suit customers' tastes. This paper is an attempt to find out what the major sensibility factors which customers want as far as a CNS is concerned are. Because these factors can differ from a vehicle type to another that customers prefer, the analysis is based on the vehicle preference. It is proved that MDS(Multi Dimensional Scaling) is an effective method to analyze the sensibility factors for the different types of vehicles. The result shows that for the people who prefer the sedan-type vehicles, luxuriousness, harmoniousness, and texture are major factors. For people who like sports car, faminism, salience, and dynamics are major factors. For people who prefer SUV's(Sports Utility Vehicle) or MPV's(Multi Purpose Vehicle), solidity, dynamics, and convenience are important.

This study was conducted based on the need to establish an operational plan following the establishment of the Okcheon-gun Daily Life Culture and Sports Center Library, and for the users of public libraries in Okcheon-gun, the functions and roles of the Okcheon-gun Library, collection related to operational direction, user service related activation, library usage related status survey, preference for the future use and perception of desired services were surveyed. Based on the results of the perception survey, the direction required by the Okcheon-gun residents for the Library was identified, and the research results are as follows. As a result of the study, first, when establishing a collection plan, the data types ought to be based on the printed materials and the multi-media materials to reflect the needs of the users, and it may also be necessary to collect them in consideration of the subject areas including literature, art, history, and technical sciences. Second, to provide various information services, it would be necessary to establish an overall information service plan, and it was identified that it would be necessary to develop various information services according to the user preferences and provide cooperative services. Third, it was determined that the programs appropriate for the various subjects and age groups should be continuously expanded moving forward in consideration of the larges demand for programs by the residents of Okcheon-gun. Fourth, new constructions and spatial improvements are needed, and the overall preference for open spaces was significant. In the case of cultural space, the preference for youth cultural facilities, convenience facilities for residents, infinite loss of imagination, and the (experiential) exhibition halls turned out to be large.
