The purpose of study is to examine fashion bags reflected women's changing lifestyle, their needs and vogue in modern environment since 20th century. Today fashion bags can be divided into practical bag, evening bag, luxury bag and utility bag. Practical bag is a type of tote which is perfect for working mom or women carrying lots of things on a daily basis. Evening bag is a symbol of femininity in respect for its handmade artistry and impracticality by its small size. Luxury bag embodies human desire for high quality and being part of prestige of luxury brand regardless of its cost. Utilitarian bag was coming from military or sports gear and are popular among young generation armed with mobile computing or crazy about popular music and all kinds of sports. In contemporary fashion culture, fashion bags play an important roles on balancing women's social and domestic life as functional and decorative accessory.
In recent years, digital media providing entertainment and information have become an important channel of customer experience. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effects of digital signage's characteristics on flow and brand attitudes and to verify the mediating role of pleasure in digital signage and flow. The stimuli were developed for a sports brand stores using 3D and video editing software. The survey was conducted on 544 subjects from both gender aged 20 to 49 years old, i.e. the population that constitutes the major target group for sports brands. The data collected was analyzed using IBM SPSS 24.0. Specifically, frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, t-test, and regression analysis were performed on the data. Based on the results, we can draw the following conclusions; First, the dimension of digital signage was classified into aesthetic and functional attributes. Additionally, we found out that women highly value aesthetic attributes of digital signage while the customers in their 40s pay more attention to functional attributes than their counterparts aged 20-30 years. Second, our results suggest that pleasure has a mediating effect in the relationship between digital signage attributes and flow; specifically, both sub-dimensions of digital signage features (aesthetic attributes and functional attributes) affect flow by means of pleasure. Third, our results demonstrated that the flow of digital signage had a significant impact on brand attitudes.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the various types and areas of recent collaborations in fashion industry and to find the utility value of collaboration. Seventy seven cases of fashion collaboration marketing strategies were selected from officially announced literature survey and enterprises information around the world. Among the seventy seven cases of fashion collaboration surveyed in this study, collaboration with other fields made up 59.7 percent, collaboration between the same fashion categories made up 40.3 percent. Among the areas of other fields, collaboration with IT(Information Technology) or Motor enterprises were included and made up 36.4 percent. Collaborations with Culture and art world that fashion brands collaborate with world-renowned industrial designer or artist and star entertainers were also included and made up 23.3 percent. Among the areas of the same categories, collaboration of fashion designer and sports or casual brand made up 22.1 percent. Collaborations of home shopping mall and fashion designer made up 18.2 percent. Collaboration cases surveyed in this study were classified according to three types; co-product development, co-branding, and co-marketing. Collaboration for co-product development made up 72.7 percent. Collaboration for co-branding made up 27.3 percent. Collaboration for co-marketing made up 37.7 percent. These collaboration marketing strategies are very efficient to upgrade brand image and cut the marketing cost by creating new target, product, brand, and promotion through successful partnerships. Therefore, much more various types and areas of fashion collaborations should be developed to create something new for future consumers.
This study was designed to make a proposal of a classifying model of Korean fashion brands as the first step in a long-term research plan developing a globalization roadmap for Korean fashion industry. On the basis of ownership advantages of a brand which included firm level attributes and brand level characteristics, fashion brands were classified into eight types. The proposed model was expected to provide an efficient and meaningful framework in developing global strategies both for academic and practical purposes. The model proposed four major categories of fashion brands including manufacturer brands, designer brands, retailer brands, and non-brands. Manufacturer brands were further classified into three groups of conglomerate fashion brands, fashion brands, and sports-specialized brands. Non-brands included small/very small-sized manufacturer non-brands, small/very small-sized non-brands, and OEM/ODM exporters. The classifying dimensions, brand type characteristics, and the globalization approach were discussed. Methods to test the reliability and validity of classifying were also discussed in the text.
The purpose of this study was to develop a large representative data base for socks marketing strategy. The study was to determine socks brand awareness in ralation to segmented distribution regions and such demographic variables as sex and age. The authors also analyzed preferred design. A total of 650 questionnaires were distributed and 611 reliable ones were used for statistical analysis. A SAS statistical package including frequency tables and chi square test was used. The results are as follows: Brand awareness involves "brand recall" based on asking a person to name the brand he or she recalls first, and also "brand recognition" based on asking subjects to identify brand names from 30 given brands. 'SOCKSTOP' was found to be a dominant brand as a result of the brand recall test, and 'BYC' was found to be a dominant brand as a result of the brand recognition test. Brand recognition was significantly different in the segmented distribution regions, three age groups and different sex groups. People considered design first in purchasing sports/casual socks, while they considered color first in purchasing dress socks. The most favored type of sock style was the common crew sock type. The results of a chi square test showed that preferred type of sock design was related with the sex and age variables.
The purpose of this study was to investigate brand slognas that are effective in explaining how brand identity affects consumers. The effect of congruity between brand slogan and self-image (low and high) on attitude to slogans and brands were anaylzed. The moderating effect of self-monitoring (low and high) was also investigated. Survey data from 177 people in their 20s-30s were analyzed through descriptive statistics, exploratory factor analysis, and two-way ANOVA. First, congruity between slogan and self-image had a positive effect on both slogan and brand attitude. In other words, the higher the congruity between slogan and self-image, the more positive the attitude toward the slogan and brand. Second, no interactive effect was found in congruity between slogan and self-image and self-monitoring on slogan attitude; however it was identified for brand attitude. Again, in a group with high congruity between slogan and self-image, attitude toward the brand was more positive when self-monitoring was higher than when it was low. In conclusion, brand slogans that can represent the self-image of highly self-monitoring consumers are effective. In particular, this is meaningful as it has revealed its relationship with the impact of identity self-image congruity and self-monitoring on brand attitudes in fashion brands. These results offer meaningful guidance in determining brand slogans according to consumers' personal characteristics.

This study purported to analyze the condition of the degree standardization and types of global ads. in the multinational fashion brand corporations. The analyzed ads. were sampled from monthly magazines on same seasons in 1997. This study was done by means of checklists were modified other researcher's research measurments. Researcher counted of advertising message. Zero point meant perfect stan-dardization and 13 points meant perfect non-standardization. The types of advertising appeal were analyzed according to constituent unit's expression types. The results of the study proved that the degree of standardization was considerably high, which means that the multinational fashion brand corporations used the standardization strategy. In particular, the degree of standardization in sports wear and casual wear ads. was low compared with the degree of standardization in the other ads. Most of the global fashion ads. were composed of illustrations only. Besides, emotional appeal type was usually used in glabal fashion ads.
This paper examines advertising images of fashion brands in vertical social network site (SNS) from the viewpoints of message strategies. Vertical social network sites are types of social curation systems applied to social networking, where information is selected, organized, and maintained. Fashion brands communicate with consumers by presenting images on vertical SNSs, anticipating improvements in brand image, popularity, and loyalty. Those images portray content for particular brands and seasonal concepts, thus creating paths for product sales information. Marketing via SNSs corresponds to relationship marketing, which refers to long-term interrelationship and value augmentation between the company and consumer, and viral advertising, which relies on word of mouth distribution via social network platforms. Taylor's six-segment message strategy wheel, often used for analyzing viral ads, was applied to conduct a content analysis of the images. A total of 2,656 images of fashion brands advertised on Instagram were selected and analyzed. Results indicated that brand values were somewhat related to the number of followers. Follower rankings and comment rankings were also correlated. In general, fashion brands projected sensory messages most often. Acute need and rational messages were less common than other messages. Sports brands and luxury brands presented sensory messages, whereas fast fashion brands projected routine images most often. This study selected a case study method conforming to qualitative research in order to analyzed how each type of fashion enterprises uses SNS in-side of fashion marketing based on content the researcher monitored and selected from the Facebook website for each enterprise. The standard to select fashion brands in this study is a graded list made based on ranking 5 analysis sites on social media (Socialbakers, socialDigm, Pulse K, BigFoot9, L2). The researcher sorted and then analyzed 2 brands that have many fan joiners and followers among fashion brands that were ranked top of the graded list, work in Facebook animatedly, and had representativeness in each type (SPA, Sports Brands). The study was conducted from January 2013 to March 2013, and the index of Facebook consisted of 3 kinds of elements (comment, like, and share). Each numerical value was counted to decide the monthly ranking. Content analysis was divided into public relations about brand, public relations about products, and customer participation and activities; consequently, the researcher investigated which content was post conforming to the ranking. The study analyzed the analysis results of each brand derived through the method of study compared to other brands. The results are as follows. In case of SPA brands, the category accounting for high rank in index analysis are public relation events to attract customer attention and products and offering information. The results of the monthly trend about whole post category were also similarly analyzed so the promotion goal that the brand wants to seek in priority coincides with the customer compliance rate. Next, in the case of sports brand, public relations for products offering information, event for arousing customer concern, and participation activities accounted for a high rank in the index analysis and posted the most in the analysis of the monthly trend for whole post category. The researcher came to understand that the direction of content for brands shown through Facebook coincides with customer sympathy.

The purpose of this study is to look for a development plan for strategic brand logo by a means of scrutinizing general characteristics and trend in the visual properties of outdoor logo brands. In this study, data research and analysis were conducted over the 68 outdoor brands in circulation in the domestic market based on the information on the website of each brand in order to examine the visual characteristics of an outdoor brand logo. For this, it was performed to examine the desired brand concept of each brand and to analyze the visual characteristics of typeface, color, and type of logo. The results of this research are the followings: First, it was found that the most popular typeface in outdoor brand logos is a capitalized Gothic type. It seems that the logo type is designed to symbolize power, toughness, and masculinity and to express the concept of sportswear brand. Second, when it comes to color, black color tone appeared most frequently, and also reddish colors among chromatic colors were prevailing over others like green, blue, or yellow. It is believed that reddish colors were used to express passion, power, youthfulness, and energy; black color tone for tough, masculine power. Third, the logo symbol of outdoor brands mostly contains mountain, the heads of powerful animals, spherical shape/abstract image that embodies outdoor sports activities. It was analyzed that these resulting symbols were chosen to convey the images of nature, conquest, challenge, future, and passion that are the brand concept of most outdoor brands. Today, in our country, the logo of an outdoor brand is the important factor that symbolizes the brand concept, function, or characteristics. Therefore, the necessity of constant follow-up researches is required to devise the way of designing the brand logo that can build brand power and enhance brand image.
