UHD (Ultra High Definition) has been developed and standardized over the past few years and considered as a key of the next generation broadcasting. Since major sporting events that attract many viewers have been good opportunities for applying and promoting new broadcasting technology, KBS (Korean Broadcasting System) has carried out live 4K terrestrial broadcasting of three big sports events in 2014, the KBL (Korean Basketball League) finals, the 2014 FIFA World Cup, and the 2014 Incheon Asian Games. Especially, 4K UHD live coverage of the KBL finals was the world's first live 4K terrestrial broadcasting, and people could enjoy the World Cup and the Asian Games with UHDTV at home. In this paper, the overall live production and data transmission of the sporting events is described, including on-location live production, live HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding) encoding, SFN (Single Frequency Network) transmission, as well as experimental IP transmission of uncompressed 4K video via KREONET, a national R&D network run by KISTI (Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information).

Automatically predicting video highlight is an important task for media industry and streaming platform providers to save time and cost of manual video editing process. We propose a new ensemble model that combines multiple highlight detectors with each focusing on different parts of highlight events. Therefore, our model can capture more information-rich sections of events. Furthermore, the proposed model can extract improved features for highlight detection particularly when the train video set is small. We evaluate our model on e-sports and baseball videos.

This study examined the importance of screening for changing bodybuilding and fitness category. The screening criteria for bodybuilding, the background and reason for the creation of new bodybuilding and fitness items, the screening criteria for new items, and the use of drugs were described. The current bodybuilding gives high marks to excessive muscles and excessive diet conditions, and new bodybuilding category have been newly established in line with the recent global trend of pursuing natural beauty over abnormally excessive muscles, and the screening criteria also prioritize the balance of ideal and overall muscles to fit your height and weight. In addition, fitness events such as physique and bikini are gaining popularity with the establishment because they focus on not excessive muscles and natural elements of the body that ordinary people can challenge. Since athletes as well as ordinary people are using drugs to increase muscles and suffer side effects, IFBB(International Federation of BodyBuilding) and KBBF(Korea Body Building Federation) should consider and improve the current bodybuilding screening standards that avoid excessive muscles, and it is believed that bodybuilding and fitness events will develop only when strict punishment and continuous anti-doping education are carried out.

The use of fructose-containing sports beverage drinks has increased in recent years, especially at sport events, because of their reported ergogenic effects. However, the ingestion of low to moderate doses of caffeinated energy drinks has been associated with adverse side effects such as insomnia or increased nervousness. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of fructose beverage supplementation on cardiopulmonary function, blood lactate levels, and inflammatory reactions. We recruited 8 young adult subjects from D university and measured their cardiopulmonary functions before and after supplementation with sports beverage drinks. We also measured blood lactate and inflammatory reactions after a 20 min recovery period. Exercise time, maximal oxygen uptake (V0₂max), and AT HRmax were significantly increased (p<0.05) in the period of before and after sports beverage supplementation. However, no significant differences were observed in RPE, AT RER, V0₂max RER, AT V0₂max, and maximum heart rate (HRmax). Lactate levels also significantly decreased after 20 min recovery with sports beverage supplementation. Sports beverage supplementation therefore may enhance maximal V0₂max and increase the exercise duration time. These drinks may also be helpful in promoting rapid recovery of fatigue variables and increasing exercise performance time.

This study aimed to identify the relationship between perfectionism and motivational climate in competitive athletes and to provide information for improvement of their performance. One hundred ninety-six athletes who trained in Korea National Training Center participated in this study and they were divided into record and man-to-man events. Also they filled in the questionnaire about demographic factors, perfectionism, and motivational climate. Collected data were analyzed by using cross validation and independent t-test for identifying the difference of two events and structural equation model for testing hypotheses and model fit. Perfectionism and motivational climate in man-to-man events were stronger compared to record event. In record event, perfectionism was more influenced by ego involving motivational climate compared to task involving, while in man-to-man event, perfectionism was affected by only ego involving motivational climate. However, these both study models had a bad fit.

The numerous definition of terrorism is viewed as the use of force or violence by individual or group that is directed toward civilian populations and intended to instill fear as a means of coercing individuals or groups to change their political or social positions. Recently, the paradigm of terror has been developed as new terrorism motivated by 9. 11 terror in 2001. In these contexts, this study analyzed the case study of recent counter-terrorism of international events and suggested the policy implications. This study is split into four chapters. Chapter I is the introduction part. Chapter II introduces the reader to new terrorism theory, and Chapter III deals with the case study of the international counter-terrorism policy around the world, Chapter IV deals with the policy implications of the case study. The greater the political, economical and social advantages opening large international ceremonies, the larger the probability of being targets for terrorists and criminals. As terrorism is one of the important issue, the security problems at international ceremonies in Korea, rising country as political essence in Asian-Pacific region, become very important. With experienced know-hows against terror and preparations for security, local and central governments must promote the private security companies filling up vacancies of police and official security system and develop international ceremonies, rising high valuable industries in 21st century, with diplomatic efforts. International major events is the largest event related events with politics, economy, culture, and such large-scale events should be a comprehensive counterplan in the light of safety check for the location of a hazard and safety check of facilities in and out, attendance on athlete and visitor and escort of VIPs.

recently out-door stadium have been built not only for athletic sports but also various events and huge concerts and 50% of the roof of multi-purpose stadium have been covered by dome and the tendency of this kind of building type gradually increase, in spite of this kind of building tendency, the appearance of acoustic obstacle is serious and have little solution of this problem in acoustic-prevent building field. The purpose of this study is for analysis of acoustic Properties(SPL, RT60, RASTI) and answering of characteristics of echo through acoustic computer simulation in Seoul world cup stadium in the first instance.

최근 모바일 디바이스의 발전으로 기기에 탑재된 카메라를 가지고도 눈으로 인식하지 못할 정도로 빠르게 움직이는 물체들의 고화질 촬영이 가능하게 되었다. 보급형 하드웨어의 고성능화는 생활스포츠 환경 전반에서 거쳐 활용도가 높아지고 있으며, 고가의 초고속 카메라 대신 개인용 모바일 디바이스에 탑재된 초고속 카메라를 이용하여 경기장 내 목표물의 움직임의 촬영이 가능하게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 모바일 디바이스를 이용한 경기장의 라인 인/아웃 판정 지원과 3차원 재구성을 위한 판정 분석 도구 개발과 관련된 모바일 디바이스 카메라 캘리브레이션 방법에 대하여 연구하였다.

Wrestling is one of the popular events for modern sports. It is difficult to quantitatively describe a wrestling game between athletes. And deep learning can help wrestling training by human recognition techniques. Based on the characteristics of latest wrestling competition rules and human recognition technologies, a set of wrestling competition video analysis and retrieval system is proposed. This system uses a combination of literature method, observation method, interview method and mathematical statistics to conduct statistics, analysis, research and discussion on the application of technology. Combined the system application in targeted movement technology. A deep learning-based facial recognition psychological feature analysis method for the training and competition of classical wrestling after the implementation of the new rules is proposed. The experimental results of this paper showed that the proportion of natural emotions of male and female wrestlers was about 50%, indicating that the wrestler's mentality was relatively stable before the intense physical confrontation, and the test of the system also proved the stability of the system.

This research aims to observe the alteration of consciousness that the mega sports event reaches on the university students. In order to attain the purpose of this research, direct and indirect participants in the Daegu World Championship in Athletics, including 228 male and female university students, were surveyed. T-test analysis, one-way Anova analysis, and regression analysis were performed for data processing and the research conclusions are as follows. First and foremost, there is an attentive difference within the group in the degree of participant passion in terms of degree of participation, the advantage of perception, perceived expenses, support as well as sustainability. Additionally, the university students' attachment and the degree of participation did not appear to be high and the economical part was sensitively perceived when taking into consideration of the degree of participation, the advantage of perception, perceived expenses, support as well as sustainability. The competition support as well as its continuity appeared to positively support the opening. Furthermore, the degree of participation, the advantage of perception, perceived expenses, support as well as sustainability appeared to be higher for the group with participating experience compared with the group with no participating experience.
