In recent days, when the development in smartphones has made it common to operate objects by using them, this study aimed to present a guideline for the UI/UX designs for applications which are necessary for operating various objects through the wireless communication technology. To suggest the application guideline, existing object control application case studies were analyzed, and based on this investigation the object control application UI/UX design guidelines were proposed. This study classified the types of wireless connections used by smartphones (LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NCF, RFID) and analyzed the necessary design factors for operating objects by each type. Based on such analysis, this study presented the design sequence, factors, and methods for the UI/UX guidelines of applications. First, the method of connection was selected; second, the control device was selected. This new direction for designing smartphone applications for operating objects will likely help systemize the design process and enable the user to operate the object more intuitively. In future research, case studies will be designed applying the guidelines suggested from this study.
The use of fructose-containing sports beverage drinks has increased in recent years, especially at sport events, because of their reported ergogenic effects. However, the ingestion of low to moderate doses of caffeinated energy drinks has been associated with adverse side effects such as insomnia or increased nervousness. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of fructose beverage supplementation on cardiopulmonary function, blood lactate levels, and inflammatory reactions. We recruited 8 young adult subjects from D university and measured their cardiopulmonary functions before and after supplementation with sports beverage drinks. We also measured blood lactate and inflammatory reactions after a 20 min recovery period. Exercise time, maximal oxygen uptake (V02max), and AT HRmax were significantly increased (p<0.05) in the period of before and after sports beverage supplementation. However, no significant differences were observed in RPE, AT RER, V02max RER, AT V02max, and maximum heart rate (HRmax). Lactate levels also significantly decreased after 20 min recovery with sports beverage supplementation. Sports beverage supplementation therefore may enhance maximal V02max and increase the exercise duration time. These drinks may also be helpful in promoting rapid recovery of fatigue variables and increasing exercise performance time.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of 12-week walking exercise on body composition, physical fitness, cardiovascular function, blood lipids, GH, IGF-1and leptin in obese and normal middle school girls. Participants included 12 pairs of middle school girls who were matched for sex, age and stratified by BMI (Obese Group: BMI$\geq$25.0; Normal Group: BMI<23.0). The variables of all factors were measured in all the subjects before and after the 12-week walking exercise program. The test data were analyzed by paired t-test, and t-test using the SPSS 14.0 statistics package and the alpha level of p<0.05 was set for all tests of significance. Body composition showed a significant difference in both groups, but the variables of physical fitness, cardiovascular function, blood lipids, growth hormone, and leptin did not show a significant difference in the two groups. We conclude that regular and continuous walking exercise improved body composition, physical fitness, cardiovascular function, blood lipids, and insulin factors in both groups. Consequently, these findings suggest that walking exercise will be effective for preventing obesity and improving health-related factors in the middle school girls.
Tai Chi is a slow and gentle exercise which is suitable for obese women with chronic diseases. Tai Chi can improve the health of a senior without exacerbating existing impairments, including obese patients. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of different types of Tai Chi exercise on blood variables (glucose, cholesterol, TG, HDL, LDL, cortisol) and physical fitness (muscle strength, flexibility, muscle endurance, agility, balance). Thirty obese women were recruited from a public health center. They were divided into Yang style (YS: n=15) and 12 (12KS: n=15). The Tai Chi exercise group participated in a training program for 12 weeks (3times/week). There was significant improvement in muscle strength, flexibility, and muscle endurance in both groups. Agility was significantly increased in YS, more than in 12KS. However, there was no improvement in balance in both groups. There was significant improvement in cholesterol, HDL, LDL, and cortisol in both groups. However there was no improvement in blood glucose levels in either group. From the results, there was no significant difference in either Tai Chi exercises. The Tai Chi exercise program was effective in improving cholesterol related variables and physical fitness, except balance, in both groups. Further study is needed in this area.
The tennis was one of the most popular sport in the general physical education lesson. However there are many problems such as difficult of improvement tennis skill, lack of class days and so many students in a class. These reasons could ultimately damage the overall quality of class. The purpose of this research was to beginner students was fun and easy to learn. The tennis lesson using tools were 1.selective hitting ball, 2. high net hitting ball, 3. hitting orange ball. Scores of the experimental group(n=23) and the control group(n=21) were compared. In order to verify course content was the same 15 weeks, conducted a tennis teaching methods to take advantage of the tools. And tools to take advantage of the students who participated in a class analysis of the qualitative data (interviews, documents, questionnaires, observations, journals). As a result, the satisfaction scores of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group. The tennis lesson using tools to take positive effect(meaning, improved skill, easy, fun/curious/confident) and negative effect(difficulties of adaptation, a high challenge level) was induced. In summary of the quantitative/qualitative data 'Orange Ball' has a positive impact on the girls than boys and teaching methods using tools gave generally positive influence to students.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of different types of exercise training on ẞ-Amyloid, Brain-Derived Nerurotrophic Factor(BDNF) and cognitive function in mice with Diabetes Mellitus Group(DM.G). 24 male C57BL/6 mice were randomly assigned to the control (C.G. n = 6) and Diabetes Mellitus Group(DM.G. n = 18) groups. After the Diabetes Mellitus induction period, the DM group was subdivided into DM.G. + sedentary (DM.G., n = 6), DM.G. + endurance exercise (A.G, n = 6), and DM.G. + resistance exercise (R.G., n = 6). The A.G. and R.G performed treadmill and ladder climbing exercises 5 times per week for 8 weeks, respectively. After 8 weeks the results are as follows: ẞ-Amyloid showed higher levels of DM.G. than in A.G., R.G., and C.G., but was not statistically significant(p>.05). BDNF was significantly lower in DM.G. than in C.G., A.G., and R.G.(p <0.05). The Y-maze task performance for cognitive function was significantly lower in DM.G. than in C.G., A.G., and R.G.(p <0.05). These results predict that diabetes can negatively affect ẞ-Amyloid, BDNF and cognitive function. It can also be predicted that low-intensity exercise can positively improve ẞ-Amyloid, BDNF and cognitive function regardless of the type of exercise.
The purpose of this study was to analyse the actual condition of leisure activity in the case of Korea Science Academy students(KSA) and Min Jok Leadership Academy(MLA) students. The participants consisted of KSA students(male:122, female:44) and MLA students(male:71, female:113) with voluntary consent. 1) KSA and MLA's male students showed the highest ratio for participation in the sports, KSA's female students in the taste-culture activity and MLA's female students in the sight-seeing. 2) Mental stress treatment showed the highest ratio in the response to the question asking the principal straight motive of leisure activity, and $75\sim80%$ students considered the leisure activity as an important means to maintain health and physical fitness. 3) The students's 30% answered that they participate by themselves, and KSA male's 51% and female's 40%, MLA male's 40% and female's 48% participated in leisure. Activity planlessly. 4) In weekdays, KSA's male students enjoyed mostly the sport for leisure activity, but taste-culture activity showed the bighest ratio in the case of MLA students and KSA female students. 5)The mae students, 38% of KSA and 54% students of MLA did not play computer game at al in weekdays, and 70% of the female students in total did not play computer game. KSA's male students spent more time in playing computer game than MLA's male students did 6) The biggest reason for being unable to participate in the leisure activity was the insuficiency of time due to homework or studying for quiz. The laziness also showed high po-centage of $19\sim25%$ varying between the groups.
The purpose of this study was to compare the different environment among the young children of large and small cities and rural areas in Korea, in order to know how these different environment have an effect on the children's intellectual and emotional development. For this subjects, 2,700 questionares with 51 items were distributed to the infants' mothers in each area to interview and answer. About 1,800 questionaires were gathered from 3 metropolitan, 6 cities and 6 rural areas in (each 2 farming, fishing and mining villages) The results of analyzing these questionaires were like following; 1. The average number of children of each family was 2.5 in large cities, 3.0 in small cities and 3.6 in the rural areas. 2. White about 75% of infants' parents of large cities graduated college education, only 6% of the rural parents did it. Most infants' parents of the rural areas have only graduated the elementary school. 3. About 90% of the rural, small and large cities family have had radios and T.V sets, and 90% of infants watched T.V program for 2 hours a day in average. 4. While about 50% of large cities' young children were not reared by their mother's milk but by milk and other foods, about 95% of rural infants by breasting mills. 5. Young children of large cities were wearing about 5 months earlier than those of the rural. 6. While 20% children of cities were taught in the kindergarten, most children of the rural areas could not be taught in the kindergarten. 7. About 45% young children of the rural areas and cities were understood and taught reading, writing letters and numbers by their parents, brothers and sisters before entering primary school. 8. While 50% young children of large cities have had pianos and were taught music in kindergarten or piano tutor's, most of the rural areas have not had pianos and could not be taught music. 9. Most children's favorite music songs were T.V signals or C.M songs in both the rural and cities. 10. While most children of cities have had lots of children's pictures or fairy tale books. most infants of the rural areas have had nothing or a few. 11. As lots of infants could not find their pleasure resorts of sport tools outside, they used to play in side streets or publicroads with their friends. 12. While most infant's parents in cities wanted to make their infants lawyer or medicine doctor, most parents in rural areas wanted to make their children teacher or technician. 13. About a half of Korean infants have had their own rooms or have lived in it together with their brother or sister. In conclusion, as children of large cities have had more various kinds of cultural circumstances than the rural areas in aspects of cultural institutions' tools and environment of their parents' education, books, toys, pleasure resorts and their own rooms, the intellectual development of the former could be considered to surpass those of the latter. In other words, the average IQ points of urban's young children are 10 point higher than those of the rural areas, which means the better circumstance would affect the infant's intellectual development. Therefore, the government must support to make good circumstances of the children in the rural areas.

Landuse changes and cadastral information error categories in the four major river areas were analyzed for the use of policy data as cadastral re-arrangement of national and public lands would be required, using high-resolution air-photographs and cadastral maps before and after the river development. The study sites were the river areas of 40km around four dams of the Nakdong river where their landuses were changed most. As the results, national and public lands reached 79.9% of land parcels and 93.3% of land areas of the study sites similar with those of the four river areas, 84.3% of land parcels and 85.5% of land areas. The landuse classification of the study sites before the four river development was consisted most of 'river'(71.6%) and 'rice field'(12.3%), but after the development the 'river' was reduced to 42.7% and 'park area'(19.6%) including sport fields and 'mixed lots'(20.8%) were increased. Also, 86.7% of land parcels before the development could be reduced after the development if administrative districts and land ownerships were not considered. Cadastral information error categories can be found as cadastral polygon missing, polygon overlap, location and boundary non-coincidence, small polygon generation, and non-coincidence between cadastral boundary and river boundary. Landuse change monitoring method using air-photographs will be useful to analyze landuse state through fast information aquisition and to manage properties of national and public lands such as river areas.
From March 10 to April 3, 1999. questionnaires were sent to 157 students at an university located in Hongsong. South Choongchung Province in order to find out their eating habits and exercise patterns. The analysis of the questionnaires collected reveals the followings. 1. Eating Habits 1) 76 out of total 157 respondents (48.4%) said that they skipped breakfast. The significant difference was shown in the frequency of breakfast eating based on respondents' sex. Male students had higher rate of going without breakfast (73.92%) than their female counterparts (28.41%). 2) Most respondents finished eating their meals within 20 minutes. with 58.5% spending 10 to 20 minutes. followed by 28.0% taking less than 10 minutes. 3) With respect to the frequency of eating snacks. 1 to 2 times per day came on top with 63.7%. Significant difference was shown based on sex. with male students having more frequent snacks than female students. 40.1% of those surveyed said they ate snacks because they were either bored or hungry, respectively, 67.5% took snacks after school followed by 23.6% who had snacks after dinner. 4) Concerning the frequency of taking food. 1 to 2 times per week recorded the highest mark for beta-carotine. fruits. fish. beans. milk. seaweeds and fries. As for vegetables. 6 to 7 times a week received the highest points. Males showed significantly higher frequency of taking fruits than females. while the opposite was true for beans. 5) More than 50% of the respondents chose rice and fruits as the food they could eat really well. All those surveyed ate fruits and vegetables. More than 10% of students said they did not eat donut. chocolate. candies. fries. coke and clear carbonated beverage. milk. ham and sausage. The food that revealed significant difference based on sex included ramyon, coke and clear carbonated beverages, ham and sausage, yogurt and milk, with males showing greater preference than their female counterparts. 6) The most preferred by respondents was spicy taste (49.04%), followed by sour (36.31%), sweet (25.48%), and salty tastes(21.1%). Those surveyed shunned sweet taste the most (21.02%), followed by sour (14.65%), spicy (8.92%), salty (5.10%) tastes. 2. Workout Patterns 1) 14.01% of the respondents said they took exercise. Based on sex, males showed significantly higher rate of 21.74% than 7.95% of females. Those who took exercise did so mostly three times a week. With regard to the time spent on workout. 'within 2 hours' received the highest points. Soccer was found to be the most popular sport among the respondents. The above analysis demonstrated that the students surveyed selected relatively sound answers in the categories of the food preference and taste. However. some skipped breakfast and liked eating snacks. and most did not take exercise, which may raise health problems including the weight increase. Therefore, ways should be devised to tackle such problems to ensure healthy lives.
