The paper presents the measurement split split-plot models for saving the time and cost. The split split-plot designs developed are efficiently used to estimating the gauge R&R(Reproducibility & Repeatability) when the completely randomized design of all factors(such as high pressure and temperature) is expensive and time consuming. The models studied include three split split-plots considering the type of experimental units.

Finite element analysis was performed for a split-type CFRP bicycle frame, which was designed to apply a compression molding process with carbon fiber prepreg for a conventional bicycle. An epoxy adhesive material for joining the frames was selected by the extent of stress at joint interfaces. The split-type bicycle frame was then formed and its weak parts examined by the boundary conditions according to reliability tests. The results verified the reliability of the bicycle frame after modification of these weak parts. The finished product was manufactured by using this developed split-type bicycle frame.

In this paper, powertrain of output split type plug-in hybrid electric vehicle is analyzed for the operation range of speed, torque, and power. First, it is assumed that the efficiency of motor is 100%. And, the speed and torque equations are derived based on the lever analogy. With the above equations, the simulations are performed for the powertrain of output split type plug-in hybrid electric vehicle. From the simulation results, it is found that the output torques of EV1 and series modes are larger than the EV2 and power split modes' ones. It means the EV1 and series modes can be used for the rapid acceleration. But the EV1 and series modes can be used only the velocity of under the 120 km/h. It is because the motor reaches its maximum speed when the velocity is over the 120 km/h for the EV1 and series modes. When the engine is turned on, the engine power is transmitted through the two motors. But, the power split mode shows the power split of engine at the output shaft, and it has the point of zero motor power. Thus, the transmission efficiency of the power split mode can be higher than the series mode's one, it the motor efficiency is considered.
The volume and size of the wind turbine gearbox has been increased with increasing transmitted power. The optimal sizing of gearbox is important due to limited space on the nacelle. The power-split type planetary gear train has been regarded as a better solution than conventional type from the point of view of the volume and weight. The purpose of this paper is to optimize the volume and weight of the gearbox by the analysis of structural characteristics and evaluation of strength of the power-split type planetary gear train.
In this research, split-type complex yarn of 20:80, 40:60, 50:50 nylon6/polyester composition ratio was used in order to impose unique sense on split-type complex woven. After treating both split-type complex yarn of each ratio and its produced woven in alkali solution, we got the following results by checking physical properties based on alkali proportion and treatment time. Under the condition of NaOH 20% in this experiment, it took approximately double time 20% loss of weight. The loss of weight became high when polyester proportion of N/P(nylon6/polyester) composition ratio was low, in the same fineness yarn. Even though polyester proportion was low, the loss of weight was low when the fineness was high. N/P division was well processed at about 25% loss of weight under the condition of NaOH 20%, treatment temperature $50^{\circ}C$, and treatment time 60 minutes. The research provides that the loss of weight should be processed around treatment time 24 hours in the case of NaOH concentration 15%, and treatment time 15 hours in the case of NaOH concentration 18%, respectively, in order to achieve N/P woven division ratio of about 70%-80% in industrial fields.
In order to understand the basic knowledge on the model of heat source in hybrid welding, authors have conducted finite element analysis to calculate heat distribution using three heat source models of non-split type and split type(Volume, Volume-Volume, Volume-Surface). From the research result, we can confirm that Volume-Volume heat source of split type is suitable for the analysis of heat distribution.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate the pattern of lingual split line when performing a bilateral sagittal split osteotomy (BSSO) for asymmetric prognathism. This was accomplished with the use of cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) and three-dimensional (3D) software program. Materials and Methods: The study group was comprised of 40 patients (20 males and 20 females) with asymmetric prognathism, who underwent BSSO (80 splits; n=80) from January 2012 through June 2013. We observed the pattern of lingual split line using CBCT data and image analysis program. The deviated side was compared to the contralateral side in each patient. To analyze the contributing factors to the split pattern, we observed the position of the lateral cortical bone cut end and measured the thickness of the ramus that surrounds the mandibular lingula. Results: The lingual split patterns were classified into five types. The true "Hunsuck" line was 60.00% (n=48), and the bad split was 7.50% (n=6). Ramal thickness surrounding the lingual was $5.55{\pm}1.07$ mm (deviated) and $5.66{\pm}1.34$ mm (contralateral) (P =0.409). The position of the lateral cortical bone cut end was classified into three types: A, lingual; B, inferior; C, buccal. Type A comprised 66.25% (n=53), Type B comprised 22.50% (n=18), and Type C comprised 11.25% (n=9). Conclusion: In asymmetric prognathism patients, there were no differences in the ramal thickness between the deviated side and the contralateral side. Furthermore, no differences were found in the lingual split pattern. The lingual split pattern correlated with the position of the lateral cortical bone cut end. In addition, the 3D-CT reformation was a useful tool for evaluating the surgical results of BSSO of the mandible.

This paper studied performance characteristics of hybrid automotive to replace existing fossil fuel vehicles. Specially, about power split type HEV that is T-HEV's drive system when a vehicle drives at steady speed, monitored both output of each engine, motor and generator and battery SOC (state of charge) and analyzed performance characteristic of power transmission system and electricity power parts. This study shows those that acquired and analyzed information from signals between HCU and each controller of actual T- vehicle. From this study, it is confirmed that each conditions of EV and HEV drive can be a improvement with respect to the fuel efficiency of vehicles.
In the recent studies, various types of multi mode electric variable transmission for hybrid electric vehicle have been proposed. Multi mode electric variable transmission consists of two or more different type planetary gear hybrid powertrain system(PGHP), which can change its power flow type by means of clutches for improving transmission efficiencies. Generally the power flows can be classified into three different types such as Input split, output split nd compound split. In This paper, we present velocity and torque equations of the input-split powertrain and analyze its optimal Performances. There are six combinations of the input-split powertrain, each combination has various lever length. We find optimal planetary gear ratios for fuel economy and acceleration performance, and compare performances of each combination.
This experiment was conducted to evaluate the effect of split application of nitrogen(N) on development of vascular bundle(VB) and yield components of rice. Two cultivars were used in this study; IR58, an indica type and Shinunbongbyeim a japonica type. The number and total cross sectional area of the VB in the peduncle and leaf blade were more and bigger in N split application than 100 percent basal fertilizer. Nitrogen split application at necknode differentiation stage increased the number and size of the VB. Nitrogen split application resulted in increased panicle number with application of N before transplanting and at tillering stage; increased spikelets number with N application at necknode differentiation stage; and increased spikelet fertility and 1000 grain weight with N application at necknode differentiation and heading stages. Grain yield increased 7-10% in N split as compared to all basal application. The total cross sectional area of VB in peduncle closely correlated with the number of spikelets per panicle. Nitrogen management can have an impact on spikelet differentiation through more and bigger VB and increase grain yield potential.
