멀티미디어 스트리밍을 위한 Split 프록시 (A Split Proxy for Multimedia Streaming)

  • 본 논문은 멀티미디어 스트림을 Split 하는 기능을 가진 프록시 서버의 설계와 구현에 대하여 기술한다. Split 기능을 통해 프록시와 스트리밍 서버간의 네트워크 트래픽을 감소시킬 수 있으며 스트리밍 서버 부하를 줄일 수 있다. Split 기능을 구현하기 위해서는 클라이언트와 스트리밍 서버간의 제어 메시지의 필터링과 데이터 자료의 복사 및 전송 방법에 대한 연구가 필요하며 프록시에 연결된 클라이언트들에게 서비스의 안정성과 독립성을 보장해 줄 수 있어야 한다. 구현된 프록시는 RTSP, RTP, RTCP 프로토콜을 지윈하며 실험을 통해 스트림 Split 기능이 올바로 동작함을 보인다.

  • In this paper, we consider split quaternionic functions defined on an open set of split quaternions and give the split quaternionic functions whose each inverse function is sp-hyperholomorphic almost everywhere on ${\Omega}$. Also, we describe the definitions and notions of pseudoholomorphic functions for split quaternions.

완효성 비료 분시방법에 따른 첫물차의 수량 및 품질 (Yield and Quality of the First Harvested Tea Leaves as affected by Split-Application of Slow-Release Fertilizer)

  • 관행시비 (4회 분시)에 비해 완효성 비료 2회 분시가 수량이 12.5% 증수하였으나, 1회 분시는 $6{\pm}3%$ 감소하였다. 관행시비에 비해 완효성 비료 2회 분시가 총질소, 총 아미노산, 엽록소, 비타민 C 함량과 감칠맛 주성분인 theanine, glutamic acid, arginine 함량이 많았고, tannin 함량은 적은 편이였으나, 완효성 비료 1회 분시는 2회분시와는 반대의 경향을 나타냈다. 형상, 향, 맛 등 제다품질은 완효성 비료 2회분시가 1회분시나 관행 시비 4회 분시에 비해 우수하였다. 결론적으로 완효성 비료의 분시효과가 우수한 이유는 비료성분이 서서히 용출되어 나와 효과적으로 작물에 공급되는 한편 비료성분의 손실을 줄일수 있었기 때문으로 판단된다.

신체치수와 제품치수의 차이로 본 타이트 스커트의 구성 실태분석 (An Analysis to the Actual Condition of Tight Skirts Construction According to the Difference Between Body Size and Products Size)

  • In this study 61private brand skirts and 67 brand name skirts were compared to see if the skirts from the different markets were suitable for both comfort and movement. The researcher chose size 66 skirts with a waist circumference of 68~70cm and hip circumference of 92cm. The resets are as follows. (1) In the waist measurement, the minor brand skirts were made at the maximum measurement (70cm) and the department store brand skirts were at the minimum (68cm). (2) Compared with the standard back split length of 9cm for a 48cm-long skirt, the minor brand skirts had a split of only 4.5cm, while the department store brand skirts were 3cm less (split length-6cm). From this result, we see that both of them are less practical than they are supposed to be (3) For the department store skirts, the hip circumference and waist circumference show a significant correlation to skirt length (p<0.05) and back split length (p<0.001). Larger waist & hip measurements equal longer split length. For the minor brand skirts, the length of the split shows a significant correlation to the depth of the hem-line Shorter split equals smaller hem depth. From these results, it can be concluded that the two groups of skirts do not differ except for back split length and waist circumference, but regarding the split length, both of them should be modified for else of movement and comfort.

Split-bolus CT urography with synchronous nephrographic and excretory phase in dogs: comparison of image quality with three-phase CT urography and optimal allocation ratio of contrast medium

  • Background: Computed tomography urography (CTU), based on the excretion of contrast medium after its injection, allows visualization of the renal parenchyma and the renal collecting system. Objectives: To determine the optimal contrast medium dose allocation ratio to apply in split-bolus CTU in dogs. Methods: This prospective, experimental, exploratory study used 8 beagles. In 3-phase CTU, unenhanced-, nephrographic-, and excretory-phase images were obtained with a single injection of 600 mg iodine/kg iohexol. In split-bolus CTU, two different contrast medium allocation ratios (30% and 70% for split CTU 1; 50% and 50% for split CTU 2) were used. Unenhanced phase image and a synchronous nephrographic-excretory phase image were acquired. Results: Although the attenuation of the renal parenchyma was significantly lower when using both split CTUs than the 3-phase CTU, based on qualitative evaluation, the visualization score of the renal parenchyma of split CTU 1 was as high as that of the 3-phase CTU, whereas the split CTU 2 score was significantly lower than those of the two others. Artifacts were not apparent, regardless of CTU protocol. The diameter and opacification of the ureter in both split CTUs were not significantly different from those using 3-phase CTU. Conclusions: Split-bolus CTU with a contrast medium allocation ratio of 30% and 70% is feasible for evaluating the urinary system and allows sufficient enhancement of the renal parenchyma and appropriate distention and opacification of the ureter, with similar image quality to 3-phase CTU in healthy dogs. Split-bolus CTU has the advantages of reducing radiation exposure and the number of CT images needed for interpretation.

Diagnosis of split fractures of the mandible in adults

  • Background: Mandibular split fractures, in which the fracture occurs exclusively in the posterior wall, are uncommon. This study aimed to enhance clinicians' understanding of mandibular split fractures and offer insights for future research. Methods: This study included six patients who visited our hospital between January 2020 and June 2023 and were diagnosed with mandibular split fractures. We retrospectively collected data from patients' medical records on their age, sex, symptoms, mechanism, impact site, associated injuries, and treatment method, as well as the location, pattern, and number of fractures observed on computed tomography (CT) and panoramic images. The frequency of split fractures among all mandibular fractures was calculated. Results: The six patients included three men (50%) and three women (50%), ranging in age from 20 to 71 years (mean age, 49.8 years). The split fractures were located in the symphysis in one patient (16.7%), symphysis to parasymphysis in two patients (33.3%), parasymphysis in one patient (16.7%), and parasymphysis to the body in two patients (33.3%). Four patients (66.7%) had condylar head fractures, while two patients (33.3%) had single split fractures. The mechanism of trauma was a slip-down incident in four cases (66.7%), while two cases (33.3%) were caused by motorcycle traffic accidents. Four patients (67%) underwent intermaxillary fixation, while two patients (33%) improved with conservative treatment. Split fractures were diagnosed in all six patients on CT, whereas the fracture line was not clearly visible on panoramic images. Mandibular split fractures accounted for 5.6% of all mandibular fractures. Conclusion: This study provides insights into the clinical characteristics of rare mandibular split fractures and the diagnostic imaging findings. Furthermore, CT scans and three-dimensional image synthesis-instead of panoramic images-may be essential for accurately diagnosing mandibular fractures, including mandibular split fractures, in the future.

영상미디어 형태 분류에 따른 화면 분할에 관한 연구 (A Study on Split Screen according to the Form Classification of Visual Media)

  • This study suggests that the application of split screen as visual media can attain the effect of diversity through providing rich information and accepting diverse contents as gorgeous aesthetics. Single images are analyzed as appropriate to a demanded concentration genre such as news and dramas, entertainment. In contrast, images with natural images and ads images those are more appropriate and analyzed as the genre of the split-screen which is highly efficiency to the contents and also highly efficiency to the spatial diversification. In introducing various genres of digital contents into split screen, the synergy of contents is induced by placement in consideration of the characteristics of split screen position. In order to increase the concentration of the split-screen image, using the left area and right area above it, can increase the effectiveness of the content.

  • In this paper, we established a general nonconvex split variational inequality problem, this is, an extension of general convex split variational inequality problems in two different Hilbert spaces. By using the concepts of prox-regularity, we proved the convergence of the iterative schemes for the general nonconvex split variational inequality problems. Further, we also discussed the iterative method for the general convex split variational inequality problems.

  • In recent studies, various types of multi mode electric variable transmissions of hybrid electric vehicles have been proposed. Multi mode electric variable transmission consists of two or more different types of planetary gear hybrid powertrain system(PGHP), which can change its power flow type by means of clutches for improving transmission efficiencies. Generally, the power flows can be classified into three different types such as input split, output split and compound split. In this study, we analyzed power transmission characteristics of the possible six input split systems, and found the suitable system for single or multi mode hybrid powertrain. The input split system used in PRIUS is identified as a best system for single mode, and moreover we identified some suitable systems for dual mode.

Melting of Ice on the Heating Plate with Split Fins

  • One of the important applications of a contact melting process is a latent thermal energy storage system owing to its high heat flux and small temperature variation. In some previous works, the split fins have been employed in order to enhance the melting rate. In the present work, the direct contact melting was experimentally investigated using an ice as specimen for both split and non-split fins. It was shown that the contact melting by split fins increases the melting rate compared to that of non-split ones.
