Deer hemal nodes were studied by gross anatomy and light microscopy. Hemal nodes were scattered in the periphery of thoracic and abdominal aortae, and spherical or avoid in shape. A hemal node consisted of a thin capsule and a hilum, and had numerous small subcapsular and deep sinuses distended by a great number of erythrocytes. Although a few lymphatic nodules and tissues were seen in the parenchyma, no typical cortex and medulla was defined. Blood vessels occurred, but lymph vessel was not observed in nodes. The parenchyma of the hemal node consisted of many erythrocytes and lymphocytes, and a few granulocytes, plasma cells megakaryocytes and macrophages. The stroma was composed of reticular cells and fibers. The capsule and trabecula was a collagenous connective tissue with smooth myofibers. The above findings suggest that the hemal nodes are involved in blood storage, blood filtration and immune reaction.
The hemal nodes of the Korean native cattle were studied by gross anatomy and light microscopy. Hemal nodes were spherical or ovoid in shape, and red or black in colors. A hemal node consisted of a thick capsule and a hilum, and had extensive subcapsular and deep sinuses distended by a great number of erythrocytes. Although a few lymphatic nodules and tissues were seen in the parenchyma, no typical cortex and medulla was defined. Blood vessels occurred, but lymph vessel was not observed in nodes. The stroma of the hemal node was composed of reticular cells and fibers. The parenchyma consisted of many erythrocytes and lymphocytes, and a few macrophages and megakaryocytes. The capsule and trabecula was a collagenous connective tissue with smooth muscle cells. B-lymphocytes were principally located in the lymphatic nodules of the hemal node. T-lymphocytes were scattered in the diffuse lymphatic tissues of the hemal node.
This study was investigated spawning behavior, structure of egg masses and egg development in Aplysia kurodai inhabiting the coastal waters of Jeju Island, Korea. The mating and courtship behavior of A. kurodai occurred in the form of unilateral copulating with chain formation. In chain copulation, only the first animal acted as a female; the second and succeeding animals acted as males (sperm donors) to the animals in front and as females to the animals behind. The fertilized eggs were packaged in capsules that are embedded in jelly to form a cylindrical string called an egg masses. The number of capsule per cm of the egg masses was 55 to 60 capsules and each capsule within the egg masses held 15 to 25 eggs. After spawning, the egg masses were bright yellow or orange in color. This egg masses color not changed until embryos developed into trochophore stage. Thereafter, as embryo developed from trochophore stage to veliger stage the egg masses color became brownish. The fertilized eggs were spherical, with a diameter of approximately $80{\pm}1{\mu}m$ at spawning. At 5 to 6 days after spawning, the embryo developed into trochophore stage and began to rotate within the egg capsule. In the trochophore stage, the precursor of the velum, called the prototroch or prevelum, developed. At 10 days after spawning, the prevelum is transformed into the velum, and the trochophore developed into veliger stage. Between 10 to 15 days after spawning, the veligers broke out of the egg capsule, and hatched as free-swimming larvae.

The present work was performed to axially and radially investigate the local cold storage performance in the cylindrical tank with the spherical capsules inserted n-Tetradecane as a new cold storage material. The local cold storage performance of the capsules in the tank was experimentally investigated for the inlet temperature of -7, -5, -3, 0.deg. C, for the flow rate of 0.95, 1.89, 2.84, 6.00 l/min, and for the diameter ratio of 4.9, 9.0, 13.1. The local cold storage performance in the case of using water applied for the commercial ice-ball system was axially investigated by changing the flow rate only with the inlet temperature of -7.deg. C and the diameter ratio of 9.0 in order to compare with the performance in the case of using n-Tetradecane. For the case of using n-Tetradecane, the difference of cold storage period between the first and the seventh story was increased as the inlet temperature was increased and the flow rate was decreased. The capsules at the center of the tank showed the supercooling and the increased cold storage period compared with the capsules at the wall of the tank due to the small porosity and insufficient cold storage performance at the center of the tank as the diameter ratio is increased. The case using water showed worse cold storage performance due to comparatively large supercooling than the case using n-Tetradecane.
A case of systemic cryptococcosis developed in 4 year old boy was described and illustrated by light and electron microscope. Light microscopically, the upper dermis of the skin showed chronic nonspecific inflammation with numerous spherical spores surrounded by a clear halo created by the wide gelatinous capsule. Ultrastructurally, the C. neoformans showed the wide capsule containing microfibrils that appeared to radiate from the cell wall and to coil and interwine in various directions. The cell was uninucleate with a single nucleolus. Along the inner nuclear envelope, numerous small vesicles were present. In addition, C. neoformans presented membranous organelles derived from the plasma membrane and comparable to bacterial mesosomes.
Characteristics of viscosity and spray dried particles for several polysaccharides were studied to investigate the possibilities as wall materials for microencapsulation. Viscosities of 10% maltodextrin, 10% gum arabic, 10% dextran, 1% gum locust bean, and 1% gum karaya were 2.2 mPa.s, 9.2 mPa.s, 13.0 mPa.s, 4660.0 mPa.s, and 77.0 mPa.s, respectively. In scanning electron micrographs for spray dried polysaccharides, gum arabic had spherical shapes at 20% and 30% emulsion concentration, while trailed shapes at 40%. Maltodextrin had uniform spherical shapes at 30%, while aggregated form with various kinds of capsule sizes at 40%. Dextran had spherical shapes at 20%, while trailed fibrous shapes at over 30%. Mixed polysaccharides with gum arabic:maltodextrin (1:3, w/w) had uniform spherical shapes at 20%, 30%, and 40% with increasing diameter with increasing concentration.

In this paper, a capsule body shaped surveillance/monitoring device is developed. The device includes a camera and GPS module to transmit live video data and real time GPS coordinates respectively using the Intel Edison module. A control application is developed for the smart phones and tablets to wirelessly view the live video stream and location of the capsule device and also to switch between the multiple capsule devices installed at different locations. The coordination between the developed device and the smart phone / tablet is done using the wireless function of the Intel Edison module.
The microencapsulation of nifedipine (NF) with 4 wt% of poly(${\varepsilon}-caprolactone$) (PCL)/polyvinylpyrollidone (PVP) or PCL/polyethylene glycol (PEG) was carried out by solvent evaporation method in oil in water emulsion system to investigate the effect of PVP and PEG addition on drug release behavior of the microcapsules. The PVA (emulsifier) concentration of 1.0 wt% was chosen for the formation of PCL capsule having an average size of $154{\pm}25{\mu}m$ due to nearly spherical shape with a narrow size distribution. As PCL/PVP and PCL/PEG ratios were raised from 10/0 to 6/4, the capsule size increased gradually from $154{\pm}25{\mu}m$ to $236{\pm}32{\mu}m$ and $248{\pm}56{\mu}m$, respectively. The drug release rate of PCL/PVP and PCL/PEG capsules increased dramatically from 0 to 4 h at the beginning and then reached the plateau region from 20 h. As the concentration of PVP or PEG increased, the amount of drug release increased, suggesting that the larger capsule size was attributed to the higher drug content. However, the drug release behavior remained almost constant. The PCL capsules exhibited no evidence of causing cell lysis or toxicity regardless of NF loading, implying that the microcapsules are clinically suitable for use as drug delivery systems.

This study was performed to investigate the gross anatomical features and microscopical structures of the hemal nodes and the hemolymph nodes in the sheep. The hemal nodes and hemolymph nodes were observed mainly in periphery of the thoracic and abdominal aortae of the animals. The size of hemal nodes was generally smaller than that of the hemolymph nodes, and the shape of the both organs was spherical or ovoid. The color of the hemal nodes was red, while that of the hemolymph nodes was grary with red bands. The hemal nodes were surrounded by a relatively thick connective tissue capsule and there were extensive subcapsular sinuses distended by a great number of erythrocytes. Although a few number of lymphatic nodules and small areas of diffuse lymphatic tissues were observed in the parenchyma, no typical cortex and medulla were defined in the hemal node. Small numbers of blood vessels were found at the connective tissue capsule but lymph vessel was not observed microscopically in this organ. The hemolymph nodes were covered by a relatively thick connective tissue capsule and there was a hilus in each node. The parenchyma was divided into cortex and medulla. The cortex was composed of a few numbers of lymphatic nodules and some diffuse lymphatic tissues. The medulla comprised medullary sinuses and cords. Afferent and efferent lymph vessels were observed at the periphery of the capsule adn the hilus, respectively. The subcapsular and medullary sinuses were not extensive but filled with small numbers of erythrocytes. The stroma of hemal node and hemolymph node was composed of reticular cells and fibers, and the capsule and trabecula consisted of collagenous fibers with smooth muscle fibers.
A microcapsule for drug delivery was successfully produced by utilizing the flow-through droplet-based supramolecular self-assembly in a crossed microchannel network. The PS-b-PMMA block copolymer synthesized atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) was initially formed as microdroplets and after the evaporation process it turned to spherical capsule by polymer self-assembly of the micro domains. The characteristics were studied using various analysis methods.
