  • In the vector-controlled induction machine drive, mechanical sensors restrict the wide applications of high performance AC drives. So in resent years, many papers have been presented which doesn't need mechanical sensors, named by sensorless vector control. But sensorless control has a few serious problem, one of which Is poor speed estimation in case of incorrect rotor resistance (Rr) information. This paper describes the stator flux orientation speed control strategy with the speed estimation algorithm. and the method of adapting Rr change due to thermal heating. By proposed method. We can acquire precise speed estimation and higher performance.

  • The thesis proposes the sensorless vector control method that estimates the rotor speed and rotor time constant at the same time using stator current. In the proposed method, stator current error in the stationary reference frame is proportional to estimated speed error, and stator current error in the synchronous reference frame is proportional to estimated rotor time constant error. The proposed method can simultaneously produce a fast speed estimation and rotor time constant estimation. Therefore, this new method offers an improvement in the performance of a sensorless vector controller. And, the superiority of the proposed method is verified by simulation.

  • Sensorless speed estimation in induction motor systems is one of the most control engineers. Based on the estimated speed the vector control has been applied to the high precision torque control however most speed estimation methods use adaptive scheme so that it takes long time to estimate the speed. Thus the adaptive estimation scheme is not effective to the induction motor which requires short sampling time. In this paper a new linearized equation of induction motor system is proposed and a sensorless speed estimation algorithm based on observation techniques is developed. First the nonlinear induction motor equation is linearized at an equilibrium point. Second a proportional integral(PI) observer is applied to estimate the speed state in the induction motor system. Finally simulation results will assure the effectiveness of the new linearized equation and the sensorless estimation algorithm by using PI observer in the nonlinear induction motor system.

  • This paper has investigated the speed sensorless indirect vectorcontrol of a two-phase induction motor to implement adjustable-speed drive for low-power applications. The sliding mode observer estimates rotor speed. The convergence of the nonlinear time-varying observer along with the asymptotic stability of the controller has been analyzed. To define the control action which maintains the motion on the sliding manifold, an "equivalent control" concept is used. It has been simulated and implemented on a sensorless indirect vector drive for 150W two-phase induction motor. The simulation and experimental results demonstrate effectiveness of the estimation method.

  • This paper is proposed the speed and position sensorless control of surface permanent magnet synchronous motor(SPMSM) with adaptive fuzzy and observer. A adaptive fuzzy controller is applied for speed control of SPMSM drive. A adaptive state observer is used for the mechanical state estimation of the motor. The observer was developed based on nonlinear model of SPMSM, that employs a d - q rotating reference frame attached to the rotor. A adaptive observer is implemented to compute the speed and position feedback signal. The validity of the proposed sensorless scheme is confirmed by various response characteristics.

  • 영구자석 동기 전동기는 출력 밀도가 높고 효율이 높다는 장점 때문에 적용 범위가 넓어지고 있다. 자동차나 로봇과 같은 고전력밀도, 고성능 전동기 구동 시스템뿐만 아니라 세탁기, 에어컨, 냉장고와 같은 비용 절감이 매우 중요한 시스템에도 영구자석 동기 전동기가 사용되고 있다. 비용 절감을 위해 회전자 위치 센서를 제거하는 센서리스 제어가 필요한데, 일반적으로 센서리스 제어는 전동기를 기동하는 조건에서는 사용하기 어렵다. 따라서 초기 기동에서는 전류 벡터를 임의의 속도로 회전시키는 I-F 속도 제어를 사용하고, 특정 속도 이상이 되면 센서리스 속도 제어로 절환해야 한다. I-F 속도 제어와 센서리스 속도 제어에서의 속도 제어 성능도 중요하지만 두 제어 기법이 절환되는 과도 상태에서도 속도 제어 성능을 유지해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 영구자석 동기 전동기의 센서리스 속도 제어를 위해 I-F 속도 제어에서 센서리스 속도 제어로의 절환 기법을 제안한다. 제안된 기법의 성능을 확인하기 위해 세탁기 구동 시스템에서 실험을 수행하였다.

  • This paper describes sensorless high-speed control for 45,000rpm/22kw type PMSM by using iterative adaptive sliding mode observer. The proposed algorithm is based on sensorless vector control by on-line estimating the speed of rotor in the wide speed operating range between the starting operation. In addition, it shows the enhanced performance of the iterative adaptive observer by lessening its chattering and getting stable response in limited PWM period. The simulation and experiment results show the reliable performance of the proposed algorithm through starting to high speed operating range.

  • This paper consists of the speed sensorless vector control of induction motors with the estimation of rotor resistance. In the application of variable-speed induction motor drives, if an inaccurate rotor resistance is used because the rotor resistance can change due to skin effects and temperature variables, it is difficult to achieve a collect field orientation. In this paper, to overcome these difficulties adaptive algorithm is designed for rotor resistance identification at the beginning of the transient state. And an adaptive flux observer is used for the purpose of estimating rotor flux and speed in the speed sensorless scheme. Computer simulations are carried out to verity the validity of the proposed algorithm.

  • Space Vector control of linear induction motor without speed sensor is one of the most up-to-date researching subjects to the engineers in the fields of power electronics and control theory. A conveyance SLIM (Single-sided Linear Induction Motor) has required a stable speed and a soft start/stop when the goods convey. So, the close loop control method to use a speed sensor have been adopted and as the speed sensor, a linear encorder has been used. But when the speed sensor used, the application boundary is limited and the confidence of system is diminished because it is sensitive to external environment variations and its cost is very expensive. So, to solve these problems, this paper deals with speed control of the conveyance SLIM using space vector without speed sensorless.
