Study and Simulation of RST Regulator Applied to a Double Fed Induction Machine (DFIM)

  • This article proposes the study and simulation of an RST regulator based on a double fed induction machine. The RST polynomial controller can improve the double fed induction machine performance in terms of overshoot, rapidity, cancellation of disturbance, and capacity to maintain a high level of performance. A control law is synthesized using an RST controller. Simulation results indicate that the proposed regulator has better performance response to speed variation, sensitivity to perturbation, and robustness. The designed control algorithm is tested on a simulation matlab code.

  • 본 논문에서는 디지털 하이브리드 위상고정루프(Digital Hybrid Phase-Locked Loop, DHPLL) 주파수 합성기 구조에서 고 순도 스펙트럼과 초고속 스위칭 속도를 위한 설계기술을 제안한다. D/A 변환기 출력으로 전압제어발진기(Voltage Controlled Oscillator, VCO)를 구동하는 개 루프(open-loop) 구성 방식과 기존 위상고정루프(Phase Locked Loop, PLL)의 폐 루프(closed-loop) 구성 방식을 혼합한 하이브리드 구조의 주파수 합성기를 고려하여, 시스템 변수(개 루프 대역과 위상 여유)와 성능 파라미터(정착시간, 위상 잡음, 그리고 최대 오버슈트(Max. overshoot)의 관계를 연구하였다. 그리고 이 관계를 통해 스펙트럼 순도와 스위칭 속도를 향상시키기 위한 최적의 3가지 설계방안을 제시한다. 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션 결과, 주파수 스위칭 과정에서 발생하는 최대 오버슈트가 0.0991%이고 완전 정상상태 도달시간은 0.288msec이다. offset 주파수 10KHz에서 위상 잡음은 -128.15dBc이다.

  • Dynamic simulation program for a smart UAV turbojet engine was developed. The transient simulation program utilized the CMP(Constant Mass flow) method and Euler integration method for integration of excess torque. The transient performance analysis was carried out by increasing from the idle to the maximum rotational speed of the gas generator. To observe engine dynamic behavior, fuel flow was monitored through a step and a ramp increase. When the fuel was increased as a step function the overshoot of the turbine inlet temperature exceeded the limit temperature.

  • A novel body-tied silicon-on-insulator(SOI) n-channel metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor with grounded body electrode named GBSOI nMOSFET has been developed by wafer bonding and etch-back technology. It has no floating body effect such as kink phenomena on the drain current curves, single-transistor latch and drain current overshoot inherent in a normal SOI device with floating body. We have characterized the interface trap density, kink phenomena on the drain current ($I_{DS}-V_{DS}$) curves, substrate resistance effect on the $I_{DS}-V_{DS}$ curves, subthreshold current characteristics and single transistor latch of these transistors. We have confirmed that the GBSOI structure is suitable for high-speed and low-voltage VLSI circuits.

  • This paper presents auto-tuning to compensate the integrator windup of the current and the speed PID controller of DC motor, which suppress the overshoot of transient response without delay of rising time. The simulation results using Matlab show the validity of auto-tuning methods.

  • We designed a neuro-fuzzy controller to improve some problems that are happened when the DC servo motor is controlled by a PID controller or a fuzzy logic controller. Our model proposed in this paper has the stable and accurate responses, and shortened settling time. To prove the capability of the neuro-fuzzy controller designed in this paper, the proposed controller is applied to the speed control of DC servo motor. The results showed that the proposed controller did not produce the overshoot, which happens when PID controller is used, and also it did not produce the steady state error when FLC is used. And also, it reduced the settling time about 10%. In addition, we could by aware that our model was only about 60% of the value of current peak of PID controller.

  • In this paper, we designed the adaptive fuzzy controller(AFLC) using neural network and tabu search. We tuned the weights of neural network changing adaptively input/output gain of fuzzy logic controller and the gain of fuzzy logic controller using tabu search. To evaluate the proposed method's effectiveness, we apply the proposed AFLC to the speed control of an actual AC servomotor system. The experimental results show that AFLC has the better control performance than PI controller in terms of settling time, rising time and overshoot.

  • This paper deals with mathmatical of an induction motor, considering non-linearity in the torque balance equation under closed loop operation with a reference speed. A controller based on Adaptive Nuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) is developed to minimize overshoot and settling time following sudden changes in load torque. The overall system is modeled and simulated using the Matlab/simulink and Fuzzy Logic Toolbox. The advantages of fuzzy logic and neural network based fuzzy logic controller. Required training data the ANFIS controller is generated by simulation of the anti-windup PI controller is eliminated using the ANFIS controller. The transient deviation of the response from the set reference following variation in load torque is found to be negligibly samll along with a desirable reduction in settling time for the ANFIS controller.

  • This paper deals with design method of proportional-integral(PI) and feedforward controller for obtaining precise temperature and high energy efficiency of oil cooler system in machine tools. The compressor's speed and opening angle of an electronic expansion valve are controlled to keep reference value of temperature at oil outlet and superheat of an evaporator. Especially, the feedforward controller is added to suppress temperature fluctuation under abrupt disturbances. Through some experiments, the suggested method can control the target temperature within steady state error of ${\pm}0.l^{\circ}C$ and maximum overshoot $0.2^{\circ}C$ under abrupt disturbances.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the bulk/sheet forming characteristics of bulk amorphous alloys in the super cooled liquid state. Recently it is reported that amorphous alloys exhibit stress overshoot/undershoot and non-Newtonian behaviors even in the super cooled liquid state. The stress-strain curves with the temperature-dependences as well as strain-rate dependence of Newtonian/non-Newtonian viscosities of amorphous alloys are obtained based on the previous experimental works. Then, those curves are directly used in the thermo-mechanical finite element analyses. Upsetting and deep drawing of amorphous alloys are simulated to examine the effects of process parameters such as friction coefficient, forming speed and temperature. It could be concluded that the superior formability of an amorphous alloy can be obtained by taking the proper forming conditions.
