Purpose The aims of this study were to evaluate micro-tensile bond strength of composite resin bonded to dentin following high-speed rotary handpiece preparation or Er:YAG laser preparation with two different adhesive systems and to assess the influence of different Er:YAG laser energies on the micro-tensile bond strength. Materials and Methods In this study, 40 third morlars were used. Flat dentin specimans were obtained and randomly assigned to eight groups. Dentin surfaces were prepared with one of four cutting types: carbide bur, Er:YAG laser (2 W, 3 W and 4 W) and conditioned with two bonding systems, Scotchbond Multipurpose Plus (SM), Clearfil SE bond (SE) and composite resin-build ups were created. After storage for 24 hours, each specimen was serially sectioned perpendicular to the bonded surface to produce more than thirty slabs in each group. Micro-tensile bond strength test was performed at a crosshead speed of 1.0 mm/min. Micro-tensile bond strengths (${\mu}TBS$) were expressed as means$\pm$SD. Data were submitted to statistical analysis using two-way ANOVA, one-way ANOVA, Student-Newman-Keuls' multiple comparison test and t-test. Results and Conclusion 1. Regardless of bonding systems, the ${\mu}TBS$ according to cutting types were from highest to lowest : 3 W, 2 W, Bur, and 4 W. In addition, there was no significant difference between Bur and 4 W (p<0.001). 2. Regardless of cutting types, SM showed significantly higher ${\mu}TBS$ than SE (p<0.001). 3. Bonding to dentin conditioned with SM resulted in higher ${\mu}TBS$ for 3 W compared to Bur, 2 W, and 4 W. There was no significant difference between 2 W and Bur (p<0.001). 4. Bonding to dentin conditioned with SE resulted in higher ${\mu}TBS$ for 3 W compared to 2 W, 4 W, and Bur. Bur exhibited significant lower ${\mu}TBS$ than all other cutting types. There were no significant differences between 3 W, 2 W and between 4 W and Bur (p<0.001). 5. The ${\mu}TBS$ of laser cutting groups were shown in order from highest to lowest: 3 W, 2 W and 4 W in two bonding systems. There was no significant difference between 2 W and 3 W in SE (p<0.001). : The ${\mu}TBS$ of composite resin bonded dentin was significantly affected by interaction between the cutting type and bonding system. In the range of 2 W-3 W, cavity preparation of the Er:YAG laser seems to supply good adhesion of composite resin restoration no less than bur preparation. In particular, if you want to use the self-etching system, including Clearfil SE bond for the purpose of a simplification of the bonding procedures and prevention of adverse effects by excessive etching, an Er:YAG laser may offer better adhesion than a bur.

Recently, self-etching adhesive system have been developed and bonding procedures simplified into one or two steps, which are simultaneously applied to both enamel and dentin. These systems are easy to use and have the potential for good clinical success. The purpose of this study is to evaluate in vitro the microleakage on the cementum/dentin and enamel walls in composite resin restoration of Class V cavities, regarding the use of different adhesive systems. 30 human premolars were divided into 3 groups. A standardized Class V preparation was prepared on the buccal and lingual surface of each premolar. The preparation were made parallel to the cementoenamel junctions, with the gingival half of the preparation extending 1mm apical to the cementoenamel junction. After adhesive system was applied to teeth as manufacture's recommendation, hybrid resin composite was filled in bulk into the preparation and light polymerized according to manufacturer's recommendations. Specimen were stored in distilled water at $37^{\circ}C$ for 5 days and thermocycled 1000 times ($5^{\circ}C{\pm}2^{\circ}C\;and\;55^{\circ}C{\pm}2^{\circ}C)$, then immersed in a 2% methylene blue solution for 12 hours. After sectioning mesio distally through the restorations, the degree of dye penetration was scored under a stereomicroscope at ${\times}\;25$ magnification. The data were analyzed statistically using t-test and one-way ANOVA. The results were as follows: ${\cdot}$ There is no adhesive system which can prevent microleakage perfectly. ${\cdot}$ There is significant difference in microleakage between enamel margin and dentin margin (p<0.0001). ${\cdot}$ In enamel margin, self-etching primer systems did not show any significant difference comparing total-etching system. In denin margin, self-etching primer systems did not show any significant difference comparing one-bottle adhesive system used in combination with total-etching.

The textile finishing methods utilizing chitosan have been mostly focused on the applications in the improvement of the dyeing of cotton fabrics, or the improvement of hand of the cotton or wool fabrics. On the other hand, it Is difficult to find the application examples in the synthetic fiber fabrics including polyester and nylon fabrics. The aim of this study is to improve the stiffness and the poor wash fastness of the fabrics treated only with chitosan. We tried to improve the softness by employing chitosan and polyurethane mixture solution and to prevent the detachment of the chitosan from the fabric. The treatment was applied to cotton, polyester, and nylon fabrics. The change of the properties of the treated fabrics were investigated. The optimum finishing condition was sought by changing the mixture ratio of the chitosan/PU(polyurethane) solutions. The adjusted ratios of the chitosan/PU solutions were 1 : 0, 1 : 0.25, 1 : 0.5, and 1 : 2 during the mixture solution preparation. Using the KES(Kawabata Evaluation System), the physical and mechanical properties of the finished fabric specimens were analyzed, and hand values of the specimens were calculated through the use of translational formulas. According to the chemical composition of the fibers, chitosan solution or chitosan/PU mixture exhibited wide range of coating effect. Since the chitosan acid solution has high polarity, the bonding force with the cotton fibers is high. By the appropriate addition of PU in the chitosan treatment of cotton, KOSHI and HARI values of the fabric improved. The air permeability of the chitosan/PU treated cotton fabric specimen improved, resulting in the highest value at the mixture of chitosan : PU=1:0.25.

The purpose of this research was fourfold: (a) to identify the use rate of the indirect care interventions performed by nurses, (b) to estimate the time to perform each intervention, (c) to identify the indirect care interventions to be delegated to others, and (d) to determine the level of provider preparation needed to delegate indirect care interventions. The sample consisted of 199 nurses working in three hospitals. The Indirect Care Survey developed by the Iowa Intervention Project team was used for data collection. The instrument was translated to Korean and validated by nurse experts. Each of the 26 indirect care interventions were used several times a day. Four interventions (i.e.. Documentation, Shift Report, Specimen Management, and Transport) were performed several times a day by 50% or more of the nurses. The most frequently used intervention was Documentation, followed by the interventions Shift report. Environmental Management, Transport, and Examination Assistance. The least used intervention was Quality Monitoring, followed by the interventions Order Transcription, Referral, Health Care Information Exchange, Multidisciplinary Care Conference, and Product Evaluation. The intervention taking the most time to per-form was Technology Management (155.3 minutes), followed by the interventions Documentation, (122.2 minutes), Delegation (84.4 minutes), Supply management (83.4 minutes), and Preceptor: Student (79.9 minutes), Overall, the nurses reported that they would not delegate to others the majority of the interventions. More than 50% of the nurses would not delegate 21 interventions. Shift Report would not be delegated by 95% of the nurses and Documentation would not be delegated by 92% of the nurses. Caregiver Support would be delegated by 68% of the nurses to family. Three interventions (i.e.. Environmental Management, Examination Assistance, and Transport) would be delegated by more than 50% of the nurses to Nursing Assistant. This study will contributes to determining costs of nursing services and enhancing quality of nursing care. Replication study will be needed with large sample.
Acidic degreasing agent(ADA) was prepared by blending n-octanoic acid, MJU-100A, Tetronix T-701, POE(6)-2-ethylhexyl ether, Newpol PE-68, sorbitol, and phosphoric acid. The physical properties of ADA tested with aluminum specimen showed the following results; when 3wt% ADA-5 was performed at $70^{\circ}C$, the degreasing rate was 98% which is comparitively good, and the percentage of etching was 0.277% which was found to be less than that of commercialized product. When 20wt% of ADA-5 was added at $65^{\circ}C$, the percentage of derusting was 93% and the good defoaming effect proved by following low foaming power tests respectively : Ross and Miles, and Ross and Clark methods.
We compared the diagnostic accuracy of liquid-based cervicovaginal cytology using $MonoPrep2^{TM}$ system (Monogen, Herndon, Virginia, USA), a manual system based on membrane filtration method, with conventional Pap smear. Study population included 92 patients visiting the gynecologic department under the suspicion of uterine cervical disease. In thirty of them, surgical biopsy was performed. $MonoPrep2^{TM}$ system provided well-preserved monolayer specimen with good nuclear morphology. However, about 19% of specimens were inadequate to interpret due to low cellularity. The detection rate of abnormal cells more than ASCUS (atypical squamous cells of unknown significance) was 23.9% and higher than 19.4 % of conventional Pap smear. Diagnostic concordance rate with conventional Pap smear was 81%, and severe discordance rate influencing on the management of patient was 7.6 %. Among these seven cases, $MonoPrep2^{TM}$ system was more diagnostic only in four. In comparison with histology, the sensitivity of diagnosis of $MonoPrep2^{TM}$ system was 78.9% and slightly higher than 73.5% of conventional Pap smear. However, the specificity was 81.1% and lower than 90.9% of Pap smear. In conclusion, $MonoPrep2^{TM}$ system provided diagnostic accuracies similar to the conventional Pap smear. The inexpertness of slide preparation and the low cellularity were considered to endow a limitation in more accurate evaluation.

This study was conducted to evaluate effect of geogrid and fabric, which are used underneath the overlaid asphalt pavement for retarding reflection cracking by simulated laboratory test. In this study, an interlayer at the interface between old concrete pavement surface and overlaid asphalt mixture, and polymer-modifier were used as an effort of retarding reflection crack initiation and for strengthening mixture. Five products were used in preparation of asphalt concrete beam specimen which was tack coated on top of jointed concrete block. Simulated Mode I and II fracture test were conducted under wheel loading and results were compared among those products. From the test results, several material and reinforcement combinations were observed to have a significant retardation effect against reflection cracking. The most effectively strengthened pavement against reflection cracking was found to be the LDPE-modifier asphalt mixture with a grid reinforcement at the bottom.
To understand the course of renal diseases well, we must have basic knowledges of histologic procedures of renal biopsy samples as well as basic pathologic changes. This article describes the method of dividing the biopsy samples, fixatives for various pathologic examinations and basic pathologic changes of glomerular diseases. For light microscopic examination, color changes of glomerular structures in PAS, trichrome and PAM stains, normal glomerular patterns compared to various glomerulopathies are introduced. While describing typical staining patterns and intensities of fluorescence in membranous glomerulopathy and IgA nephropathy, basic interpretation of immunofluorescent microscopic examination is described. To understand electron microscopic pictures of renal diseases, preference locations of electron dense deposits in various glomerulonephrites are described with schema. This article is the introduction part of the renal pathology and for the further detail changes of specific entities, we should reference the renal pathology textbooks or articles.

$Na_2CO_3$. Sodium orthosilicate (Na-OSi), Tetronix T-701 (T-701), Na-dioctyl sulfosuccinate (303C), Newpol PE-68 (PE-68), MJU-100A, and tetrasodium pyrophosphate were blended to prepare high performance alkaline cleaning agents (ACASs). The results of cleaning test with steel specimen showed that ACAS-6 ($Na_2CO_3$ 50g/Na-OSi 35g/T-701 20g/303C 18g/PE-68 17g/MJU-100A 10g/TSPP 20g/ water 180g mixture) had a good cleaning power. The cleaning power for press-rust preventing oil was 98% and 99% degreasing at 4wt%, $70^{\circ}C$ and $90^{\circ}C$, respectively ; for quenching oil, the cleaning power of ACAS-6 was 91% degreasing at 4wt% and $70^{\circ}C$. The foam heights measured immediately after foaming by Ross & Miles method and Ross & Clark method at 6wt%, $60^{\circ}C$ were 18mm and 65mm, respectively. It was concluded that ACAS-6 had a good low foaming cleaning agent.
The execution of an experiment is a complex affair. It includes the preparation of test specimens, the measurement process itself and also the evaluation of the experiment as such. Financial requirements can differ significantly. In contrast, the cost of numerical simulations can be negligible, but what is the credibility of a simulated experiment? Discussions frequently arise concerning the methodology used in simulations, and particularly over the geometric model used. Simplification, rounding or the complete omission of details are frequent reasons for differences that occur between simulation results and the results of executed experiments. However, the creation of a very complex geometry, perhaps all the way down to the resolution of the very structure of the material, can be complicated. The subject of the article is therefore a means of creating the material structure of concrete contained in a test specimen. Because a complex approach is taken right from the very start of the numerical simulation, maximum agreement with experimental results can be achieved. With regard to the automation of the process described, countless material structures can be generated and randomly produced samples simulated in this way. Subsequently, a certain degree of randomness can be observed in the results obtained, e.g., the shape of the failure - just as is the case with experiments. The first part of the article presents a description of a complex approach to the creation of a geometry representing real concrete test specimens. The second part presents a practical application in which the numerical simulation of the compressive testing of concrete is executed using the generated geometry.
