  • Recently, it is increased on the concern for the reuse of waste concrete because of the shortage of natural aggregate and the increase of waste concrete. And recycled coarse aggregate is used variously, but the existing wet method producted recycled fine aggregate has problem like the high price facilities, the long time progress of the work and the poor of recycled fine aggregate. The aim of this study is to investigate outline and performance evaluation of the drying specific gravity separation method to product high duality recycled fine aggregate. Finally, this study is shown investigate process flowing of drying separation type with gravity manufacture, producte system and function of detail devices. The performance of the method of drying specific gravity separation is certificated as the qualities of recycled fine aggregate satisfied the KS

폐금속광산 지역의 비소오염토양 처리를 위한 선별 기술 적용 (Application of a Soil Separation System for the Remediation of Arsenic Contaminated Soil in a Metal Mining Area)

  • After the law has been enacted for the prevention and recovery of mining damage in 2005, efforts of remediation have been started to recover heavy metal contaminated soils in agricultural land near mining sites. As part of an effort, the upper part of cultivation layer has been treated through covering up with clean soil, but the heavy metal contamination could be still spreaded to the surrounding areas because heavy metals may be remained in the lower part of cultivation layers. In this study, the most frequently occurring arsenic (As) contamination was selected to study in agricultural land nearby an abandoned metal mining site. We applied separation technologies considering the differences in the physical characteristics of soil particles (particle size, density, magnetic properties, hydrophobicity, etc.). Based on physical and chemical properties of arsenic (As) containing particles in agricultural lands nearby mining sites, we applied sieve separation, specific gravity separation, magnetic separation, and flotation separation to remove arsenic (As)-containing particles in the contaminated soil. Results of this study show that the removal efficiency of arsenic (As) were higher in the order of the magnetic separation, flotation separation, specific gravity separation and sieve separation.

  • This study is contents about Separation ASCON, the Tiles and the Reds Bricks using the heavy suspension. The specific gravity of ASCON, the Tiles and the Reds Bricks are under 2.3. So we make the heavy suspension which the specific gravity is 2.3 and we separated ASCON, the Tiles and the Reds Bricks.

Recovery of Petroleum Hydrocarbons from Oily Sludge Landfilled Soil

  • Three types of experiments, based on the physical properties of oily sludge landfilled soil, were conducted to recover total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) from the soil. These experiments included gravity separation, solvent extraction using water, and air floatation. The oil portion was not easily separated from the wet (raw) soil because water molecules aggregate the soil particles, despite the fact that the soil was sandy. However, the drying and grinding processes destroyed the aggregates, causing the TPH recovery to increase to approximately 60% when air floatation was used. The drying process decreased the specific gravity of the soil sample, thereby enhancing the overall recovery of TPH from the soil. Although thermal desorption and/or incineration are common choices for heavily dumped sites, physical separation can recover the oil portion instead of simply removing it.

당용액비중조절에 의한 보통육과 혈합육의 분리에 관한 연구 (Separation of Dark and Ordinary Muscle with Specific Gravity Controlled Sugar Solutions)

  • 다획성 어종인 고등어, 정어리, 말쥐치 등을 연제품 기타 식품소재로 이용하기 위해서는 다양처리를 위한 기계처리가 필요하나 적색육조에 많은 혈합육의 분리가 어려워 품질에 문제점이 있다. 기계처리적정에서 보통육과 혈합육을 분리하는 방법으로 당용액의 비중차에 의한 분리유과를 검토한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. (1) 보통육과 혈합육을 분리할 수 있는 유효비중한계는 고등어의 경우 $1.067\sim1.072$, 정어리의 경우$1.02\sim1.070$ 말쥐치의 경우 $1.073\sim1.077$였다. (2) 육립자의 크기에 따른 분리율은 chopper 세공판의 공경이 0.2cm일 때에 $90\%$였고 0.3cm일 때에 $60\%$였다. (3) 육립자의 밀도에 따른 분리효과는 당용액에서의 침강력 높이가 1.8cm정도, 즉 육입자 밀도 $1g/cm^2$일 때 분리율이 $92\%$였고, 즉 $5g/cm^2$일 매에는 $59\%$로 낮았다. (4) 자당용액에서는 부상분리층이 25분 경과하여도 침강하지 않았으나 포도당액에서는 5분후부터 서서히 침강하였다. (5)당용액의 비중이 높아짐에 따라서 유지의 분리율 높았으며 유효비중한계내에서도 $90\%$정도의 지방을 분리할 수 있었다.

퍼텐셜 자료의 깊이 분리 (Separation-sounding Filter for Potential Data)

  • 특정한 지질 구조에 의한 이상을 분리하는 문제, 특히 깊이가 다른 샘들에 의하여 중첩된 이상을 수직적으로 분리하는 문제는 중력과 자력탐사 자료 해석에서 매우 필수적이며 중요한 과정이라 할 수 있다. 측정된 퍼텐셜 자료를 단순하게 광역 효과와 남은 이상의 합으로 가정할 수도 있지만, 수직적으로 여러 층인 구조인 경우로 확장하여 특정한 층에 의한 효과를 분리해 내거나 분리된 이상을 깊이에 관하여 정량적으로 규정할 수 있으면, 이것은 깊이 분리라고 부를 수 있을 것이다. 깊이 분리 필터로서 로그 파워 빛띠 분석을 이용한 진동수 필터를 제안한다. 이것을 수치 모델링과 흥해 일대에서 얻은 실제 중력탐사 자료에 적용하였으며, 2 배 깊이만큼 위로 연속 필터와 비교, 검토해 보았다. 수치 모델링과 실제 중력 자료에 적용한 바에 의하면, 이 논문에서 제안한 깊이 분리 필터는 지구물리적인 의미가 있는 중력 불연속면까지의 중력 효과를 잘 벗겨냄으로써 불연속면의 중력 분포를 추정하여 지질 구조를 해석하는 데에 유용한 도구임을 보여주었다.

  • 폐콘크리트를 재활용한 순환골재에는 모르타르나 시멘트페이스트가 많이 부착되어 있어 밀도가 낮고 흡수율이 높아 구조용 골재로 사용할 수 없는 실정이다. 그러나 생산된 순생골재 내에는 많은 양의 콘크리트용 순환골재가 포함되어 있으며 이들을 비중선별을 통해 선별하여 콘크리트용 순환골재를 생산할 수 있었다.

촉진열화실험에 의한 소나무의 물성 및 조직 변화에 대한 연구 (Study on the Change of Physical and Anatomical Properties in the Pine Wood by Accelerated Weathering Test)

  • The domestic pine was used to investigate the change of specific gravity, moisture contents, color and anatomical structure by accelerated weathering test (AWT). According to visual inspection, a few knot separation and looseness as well as considerable surface discoloration was found out. However, the crack and split of surface texture have been never occurred till the last step of AWT. On the whole, as the time of accelerated weathering test has increased, the specific gravity has decreased. Finally, after the 9th week of AWT, the specific gravity was 0.38 that reached to 82% compared to the control specimen. In case of moisture content (MC), it showed rising trend in its early stages, however, after 3th week of AWT it have displayed steady state. A deterioration of cell-wall components was not remarkably observed by scanning electron microscope (SEM), however the ray fractures of AWT specimen were observed more than those of control specimen. The full fracture of epithelial cell around resin canal was observed by optical microscope. The fracture of ray of 2th cycle AWT specimen was first, followed by 1th week and control group. A distortion of tracheid for early spring wood and fracture of epithelial cell were generally observed by a similar level, regardless of duration time of AWT. Therefore, it is obvious that increasing duration time of AWT does not affect the deterioration of micro-structure for wood members from this study. Although a considerable change of anatomical properties was not found, there is a need of further research to understand how will the changes of specific gravity and MC on the physical properties of wood member.

  • Its a tendency to strengthen related international was as the importance on marine oil pollution recently becomes the issue. According to the regulation of IMO, oil discharge from ships is allowed under 15PPM only and oil filtering equipment is essential. Oily water separator of laminated plate type which is one of gravity type separator can be use as assistant equipment for the oil filtering system to meet the present IMO standard, because it fits well to process large amount of rich oil with high specific gravity. The purpose of this paper is to investigate an efficiency of oil/water separation with the characteristics of laminated plate arrangement. The analyse of oil contents for oil-water mixture were carried out in order to find an efficiency of oil/water separation and an experimental study was simultaneously carried out to investigate internal flow characteristics of separator by visualization method and PIV(Particle Image Velocimetry) measurement at three spaces of plates for 5, 10 and 15 mm with variation of inlet flow rates of $0.25m^3$/h and $0.5m^3$/h. The experimental results showed that the space of the plates acts a significant role in the separating process.
