In this study, the 12-month prevalence rate of neck pain was found to be 42.3% (95% CI: 36.6%-47.9%), and variables like such as break time [adjusted odds ratio (AOR): 5.888, 95% CI: (2.775-12.493)], working hours per day [AOR: 6.495, 95% CI: (2.216-19.038)], static posture [AOR: 4.487, 95% CI (1.640-12.275)], and repetitive activity [AOR: 4.519, 95% CI:(2.057-9.924)] were associated with neck pain. Conclusion: In this study, neck pain is a major public health problem. Continuous work without break time, working greater than 8 hours per day, sitting in the same position for greater than 2 hours, and high repetitive activities were found significantly associated with neck pain. • As a case study, this paper aims to analyze the outcome of culture projects that are, like the building project of culture city, comprehensively funded by integrating individual projects with various purposes. Considering that there is no assessment indicators on the performance of culture city building project, it tries to propose and analyze indicators for evaluating the outcome, influence, and effect of the project, by taking into account social, cultural, and economical effect. The analysis result demonstrates the building project of specialized region in culture has bigger income effect than the construction project of cultural facilities or cultural voucher program. Because income growth leads to consumption growth, a project type with bigger income effect has more influence on industrial growth. In other words, the study shows that comprehensive funding projects, by integrating programs related to cultural citizens, cultural programs, and cultural space, is more effective for sustainable cultural development of a region. And it means the way of government assistance for cultural projects does need to change from individual project-based to comprehensive funding project-based.

  • Chungcheongbuk-do can be said that it is not developed well because its surface accounts for 7.5% of Korea's whole land surface, and it accounts for 3.1% of population and main economical index from those of whole Korea. However, Chungcheongbuk-do should develop itself more by integrating of Cheongju-si and Cheongwon-gun, transfer of government facilities to Sejong city, and dispersing manufacturing companies of Seoul Metropolitan area. The factor which affects Chungcheongbuk-do's regional specialized industries is the distance from Cheongju-si and Gyeonggi-do. Service industries are specialized in urban area; manufacturing industries are specialized in regions which are close to Cheongju-si or Gyeonggi-do; and primary industries and consumer service industries are specialized in areas that is far from Cheongju-si. This study can be a foundation for studies on regional and industrial change of Chungcheongbuk-do by looking at its population and location quotient.

Aims of this study is investigating the regional change of Pyeongtaek city according to the opening of Pyeongtaek port: the change in population and land value by the average distance(27.3km) between Pyeongtaek port and each region and the change in industry and regional industry with location quotient of region. The increasing rate of population and people who work for industry showed an aspect of rising as a place locates near Pyeongtaek port, yet the increasing rate of land value showed little differences. In short, as the area is closer to Pyeongtaek port, the number of population and employees are higher. Yet, the increasing rate of the land value showed little difference. • PAJU Book City Plan was designed to integrate two concepts of "Publishing Productive City" and "Ecological City" with the goal of "bringing of human being and nature together". This research on the post occupancy evaluation on PAJU Book City has two aims; One is to define how people, mainly working there rather than living, recognize the city and the other is to identify the problems resulted from the first phase of planning process and to suggest feasible solutions at the same time. It would be desirable that the outcome of this research should be used as data sources to improve the second phase of the plan. The evaluation criteria were created by the pre-survey on the basis of previous researches and "Pa Ju publishing city architectural design guide book (1999)". With those criteria, on-site questionnaire was conducted among people who work in PAJU Book City and stratified sampling was used for the proper sampling. The result is as follows; the visual-aesthetic criteria had positive response, which also closely related to a city satisfaction. Considering this result, construction type, circumferential environment of the building and a place of building form were found appropriate. The evaluation on the physical-ecological criteria was relatively low. Respondents were unsatisfied with green space and required better ecological waterway and more roadside tree. As green space was given a lot of weight in satisfaction survey, more green urban areas should be planned in the next phase. The evaluation on the social-behavior criteria got the lowest score. Particularly, the accessibility and convenient facilities were remarkably low. Nonetheless, the self-conceit about PAJU Book City was highly evaluated and played a crucial role in a city satisfaction. In order to achieve the goal, physical beauty, characteristics as a publication city as well as an ecologically sustainable city should be main agenda in the second phase of Paju Book City Plan. Consequently, it is important to strike a balance between the external environment and image media in order that PAJU Book City should be re-born as a culture city.
