  • Being a medium to help understand the status of the whole body including the Five Vital Organs and the Six Viscera such as the heart, the mac is considered to represent the elasticity of the blood vessel and the condition of the bloodstream in the Oriental medicine. A doctor makes a subjective judgment on a patient's conditions based on the information derived from the diagnosis and the medical examination of the mac wave. Thus he or she needs objective records and make a decision based on them in order to prevent misdiagnosis. This paper set out to suggest the ways to detect the particular parameters of the mac wave with the methods to visualize the mac wave interpretation to detect basic documents(causes) of health status judgment in three-dimension and with the simulation.

  • In this paper, an effective digital watermarking method for copyright protection of binary image data is proposed. First a binary image is grouped into feature regions which has geometrical features and general one. The watermark for authentication is embedded in general regions in order to preserve geometrical features regions. We have used run-length code and special runs for grouping feature regions and general one. For invisibility of watermark, we have embedded the watermark considering transition sensitivity of each pixel in general regions. The proposed method is applied some binary image such as character, signature, seal, and fingerprint image to evaluate performance. By the experimental results, the proposed method preserve feature regions of original image and have higher invisibility of watermarks.

  • HMS(Hull Mount Sonar) equipment mounted on PCC(Patrol Combat Corvette) is suitably designed for active mode, and the specific character of sensor or system is not appropriate for the frequency range to detect a torpedo. In this article, in order to implement the function of detecting torpedoes with HMS of existing PCC, I will analyze the feature of input signals each PCCs and design a circuit to compensate reversely for the input signal in certain frequency. And also, I will suggest the most adequate torpedo defense system suitable for the special operating environment and the characteristic of naval vessels, implementing functions such as AGC of input signal and fixing the frequency range of different input signals per different warships.

  • This study is derived from a problem for the blind, how to recognize the space and how to find their way. Unlike ordinary people, the disabled people are closely related with special constructor environment using the other sense. Especially, to find his/her location, each person depends on the wayfinding ability as acquiring specific and various information,(e.g. recognizing figure by tactile sense, space size by auditory sense, direction by light from a window and regular noise, and existence of switch in a specific place.) Those senses help the person's wayfinding to his/her destination. The procedure of wayfinding are location, position, orientation, navigation, and movement. Consequently, construction for the people above mentioned can offer a design-guideline considering following factors, building arrangement considering regular noise, refurbishment, plan configuration of floor and wall-skin changed, circulation stream that maintains right angle by the regular noise in the building, enforcement location character by the inflow of the light into a crossing.

  • Traditionally, the Oleaceae has been divided into subfamilies Oleoideae and Jasminoideae. In the present paper, the taxonomical results so far made on the family were reviewed on the basis of palynology. The subfamilial classification is not well supported palynoligically, because both Myxopyrum of Jasminoideae and Comoranthus of Oleoideae having foveolate surface are well distinguished from the rest of the family having reticulate surface. The recent subfamily Nyctanthoideae (Takhtajan, 1977) including the monotypic Nyctanthus, was suggested to be included within the Jasminoideae although its closest relative on the palynological basis is different from that on the molecular basis. Tribal classification systems of the Jasminoideae are not well supported palynologically on the basis of surface character: presence or absence of bands on the mural ridge surface of the reticulum. On the basis of palynology, tribe Forsythiae including Abeliophyllum, Fontanesia, and Forsythia is monophyletic, and Fontanesia is well distinguished from the rest two. Korean species of Forsythia is divided into two: Forsythia koreana group and F. ovata-nakaii-saxatilis group. Recent discovery of F. saxatilis at a locality of F. ovata raised a question if the distinction between the two species on the basis of hairiness would be right. In the recent molecular studies, F. saxatilis var. lanceolata seems to be identified as F. saxatilis. Molecular studies showed that F. saxatilis (seemingly var. lanceolata or var. pilosa) is close to F. koreana. The fact in which the molecular result showed a close relationship between F. saxatilis varieties and F. koreana, is controversial to the result by floral and vegetative morphology. An intensive taxonomic study of these taxa would be needed.

  • This study for development of close-to nature revetment techniques is conducted to rehabilitate disturbed stream ecosystem. For this objective, the experimental reach as on-site dimonstrated research was set up in Hakyoul, the Yangjaech'on from Oct. 1995 to Nov. 1996. Special emphasis on the developing process of the design of revetments was given to geomorphic character of 3 types of low flow channel bank: point bar, attack point and shallow bay. Each revetment was developed with the consideration on revegetation of emergent plants. And designed techniques were applied to the experimental reach, and were evaluated with monitoring for 1 year. As a result of the process, the experiment suggested ecological alternatives to enhance technical feasibility and to replace the conventional river-work.

  • In this paper, we propose a new discrete logarithm problem(DLP) based on the class semigroups of imaginary quadratic non-maximal orders using the special character of non-invertible ideal and analysis its security. To do this, we first explain the mathematical background explicitly and prove some properties of Cls (O) which relate to constructing the DLP and guaranteeing the security. To test the security of the proposed DLP, we compare the class number of the maximal order with that of the non-maximal order and investigate the unique factorization problems of ideals between class groups of the maximal orders and class semigroups of non-maximal orders to ensure the security of the cryptosystem.

  • The space harmonics generated by a plane-wave incident upon a multi-layered dielectric grating can undergo strong resonance scattering variations known as GMR(guided-mode resonance). To clarify these effects, we examine the field propagation and dispersion curve inside the grating region by using a rigorous equivalent transmission-line theory(RETT). The results show that, at the peak of a scattering resonance, the reflected mode is almost identical to a leaky wave that can be supported by the grating structure. Thus, we confirm and generalize previous research that has occurred GMR effect associated with the free-resonant character of leaky waves at multi-layered dielectric gratings. Quantitative simulation results illustrating the behavior of typical gratings are given, and the special case of normal incidence is discussed for TM mode.
