존재론적 장소개념에 의한 전통공간 해석에 관한 연구 (The Interpretation of Traditional Space Based on the Theory of Ontological Space)

  • Nowadays when the social and cultural paradigm is changing, the incomplete space is becoming a matter of controversy. In order to figure out the solutions to it, are being held a variety of spatial discourses for spatial essence and meaning to be cleared. Accordingly, this study has tried to seek for any probability to interpret the ontology shown at any traditional space on the ground of Heidegger's Ontological Thinking Structure which has a considerable impact on Modern Space, whose conclusions are the followings. First, Heidegger's ontological space theory, which provided a foundation of Placeness concept, includes not only the character of interdisciplinary learning among philosophy, arts and any related studies but also that of mutual oriental and occidental cultures. Second, between the thoughts of Heidegger and Lao-tzu are considerable similarities from the methodical viewpoint that materializes the meaning of existence as an essence. Third, for a convenient interpretation, the ontological spatial concept of Lao-tzu's philosophy shown at traditional spaces have been categorized into Typology-Incident, Morphology-situation and Topology-meaning generation with Schultz's Existential Spatial Concept based on Heidegger's Ontology as a medium. In particular, the meaning generation which materializes the placeness has the trait of being clarified as the product of interactions between incidents and situations.

RURITAGE 사업 개념의 농촌생활권 도입 방안 (A Study on the Introduction of the Rural Living Area of the RURITAGE Project Concept)

  • This study aimed to present a plan that introduces the concept of 'RURITAGE' into the 'Rural Convention' by analyzing the contents of the EU's 'RURITAGE' and the 'Rural Convention.' For this study, the contents and reports discussed on the 'RURITAGE' homepage were analyzed. Also, the applicability was reviewed by analyzing the 'Rural Convention' report and guideline. 'RURITAGE' was resources and heritage, currently possessed by the region rather than large-scale development. 'The Rural Convention' was intended to solve the problem of point-projects through mid-to-long-term planning, integrated support system for construction, and spatial analysis of rural spatial. It was also a policy to increase the satisfaction of the residents with the quality of life by guaranteeing a certain level of living services anywhere in the country. The 'Rural Spatial Strategic Plan' and 'Rural Living Area Revitalization Plan', included in 'the Rural Convention' are judged to be difficult to immediately introduce the concept of 'RURITAGE' due to the limitations of the projects that can implement projects. However, the notion of 'RURITAGE' can be reflected to 'Rural Spatial Maintenance Plan' seamlessly, which will be prepared in the 'Rural Living Area Revitalization Plan'.

천문학적 공간 개념 측면에서 초등학교 과학 교과서의 내용 및 조직의 특징 탐색 (Exploring the Characteristics of the Content and Organization of Elementary School Science Textbooks from the Perspective of the Astronomical Spatial Concept)

  • 본 연구는 천문 영역 초등학교 과학 교과서의 내용 및 조직의 특징을 천문학적 공간 개념 이해라는 관점에서 탐색하고자 한다. 이를 위해 2015 과학과 개정 교육과정에서 '우주' 영역 성취기준의 해당 단원을 초등학교 교과서에서 찾아 텍스트, 삽화, 탐구 활동을 중심으로 귀납적으로 도출한 공간 개념 분석 준거에 따라 중등학교 교과서와 비교하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과 초등학교 과학 교과서는 학습 내용의 적정화를 준수하고자 실생활과 연계된 관찰 가능한 천체를 대상으로 개념보다는 현상 위주로 내용을 조직하였다. 그러나 관찰과 현상 위주의 실생활과 연계된 천체 관측 학습 내용이 초등학생의 호기심과 상상력을 자극하고 학생들의 지적 참여를 격려하기 위해서는 '왜'라는 질문에 대해 학생 스스로 답을 찾을 수 있도록 공간 개념에 대한 이해가 뒷받침되어야 한다. 단순히 과학적 실행을 통해 학생들이 관찰한 현상을 정확하게 기술하여 결과를 제시하는 것에 주목하기보다, 과학적 실행 과정에서 발생할 수 있는 다양한 질문에 답할 수 있도록 전이 가능한 공간 개념을 중심으로 핵심 개념에 대한 내용 조직이 이루어져야 할 것이다.

공간 데이터 웨어하우스에서 공간 데이터의 개념계층기반 사전집계 색인 기법 (Pre-aggregation Index Method Based on the Spatial Hierarchy in the Spatial Data Warehouse)

  • 공간 데이터 웨어하우스는 SOLAP(Spatial On-Line Analytical Processing)을 이용하여 의사 결정에 필요한 분석 정보를 제공한다. SOLAP은 대용량 데이터를 분석하기 때문에 사전집계를 이용하여 분석비용을 줄이기 위한 많은 연구가 진행되었다. 기존 기법들은 고정크기노드를 갖는 색인을 이용하여 개념계층을 지원하였다. 따라서 산개분포 영역에는 빈 공간이 많이 발생하며, 밀집분포 영역에는 개념계층을 지원할 수 없다. 본 논문은 공간 데이터의 개념계층기반으로 사전집계 색인의 동적 구성 기법을 제안한다. 제안 기법은 트리구조를 이용하여 개념계층의 레벨을 트리의 레벨과 같도록 지원한다. 하나의 노드는 데이터가 적을 경우 엔트리를 분할하여 서로 다른 부모 엔트리를 가질 수 있으며, 데이터가 많을 경우 노드의 연결리스트를 이용하여 같은 레벨에 순차적으로 저장한다. 따라서 데이터가 산개된 분포의 노드에 대해서 저장 공간의 낭비를 최소화하며, 데이터가 밀집한 영역의 노드에 대해서도 노드의 연결리스트로 노드가 분할되지 않으므로 개념계층을 지원할 수 있다. 성능평가를 통하여 색인 구축 시간이 다른 기법과 비슷하고, 색인의 저장 공간이 감소하며, 집계정보의 검색 성능이 다른 기법에 비해 우수한 것을 보인다.

정주공간 구성을 위한 커뮤니티설계 모형 연구 - 조건불리지역 산촌을 중심으로 - (Community Design Model for Remote Rural Settlements - Focused on the Mountain Community in Less Favored Area -)

  • Less Favored Area(LFA) is a newly shaped regional concept and just appearing as a new community design target, where the topogeographical, industry-locational condition and the daily living environment have been outstandingly inferior to any other regions. Community Design(CD) principles that cover a spatial order of settlements are introduced in this study when the CD concept is applied to the LFA. The study puts a great stress on the horizontal and vertical order of communal spatial units and living activities oriented to residents'socio-economic activities, on which a CD district and an inner spatial organization of community is based. Therefore the various relationships between residents' activities and particular places, such as that between agricultural production and land, access to living services and community-outer settlements, is analysed through the field study. The emphatic point is that the spatial unit and organization of community, namely settlement order is casted not only by the horizontal coverage but also by the vertical hierarchy forming a cubic-like spatial order. Applying the CD idea to LFA has limit because the CD has been oriented on urban architectural style and community participation process. Nevertheless, that has a new possibility to understand the fundamental and archetypical change of a spatial pattern of community uncovering the accumulated layer of settlement order especially in the drastically changed mountain community from past to now.

확장된 개념 기반 이미지 검색 시스템 (An Extended Concept-based Image Retrieval System : E-COIRS)

  • In this paper, we design and implement E-COIRS enabling users to query with concepts and image features used for further refining the concepts. For example, E-COIRS supports the query "retrieve images containing black home appliance to north of reception set. "The query includes two types of concepts: IS-A and composite. "home appliance"is an IS-A concept, and "reception set" is a composite concept. For evaluating such a query. E-COIRS includes three important components: a visual image indexer, thesauri and a query processor. Each pair of objects in an mage captured by the visual image indexer is converted into a triple. The triple consists of the two object identifiers (oids) and their spatial relationship. All the features of an object is referenced by its old. A composite concept is detected by the triple thesaurus and IS-A concept is recolonized by the fuzzy term thesaurus. The query processor obtains an image set by matching each triple in a user with an inverted file and CS-Tree. To support efficient storage use and fast retrieval on high-dimensional feature vectors, E-COIRS uses Cell-based Signature tree(CS-Tree). E-COIRS is a more advanced content-based image retrieval system than other systems which support only concepts or image features.

강원도 지방경찰청 조경설계 (Landscape Design of KangWon Provincial Police Agency)

  • This landscape design proposal was presented to a design competition for the KangWon Province Police Agency(KPA). The site, about 27,711 $m^2$, is located at 293-4 Udu-dong, Chunchun, KangWon-Do. Design objectives of the KPA were to build a symbolic place which fall community members with pride, to elevate an identity and status of the KPA by creating a landscape correspondent to the concept of the building design, to provide community residents with a space to enjoy cultural and social activities, and to make environment friendly space. The main concept was developed by one of characteristics of the traditional spatial structure of Korea known as an, 'Open and Closed spatial structure.'By re-interpreting the traditional spatial structure and applying it to the site, the design met the various desires of the KPA. The site is primarily segmented into 6 sub spaces; entrance space Podori plaza, symbolic court, police billeting area, sports area, and rear rest area. The entrance space, Podori plaza, and symbolic court on the south-west part of the site represent the publicity of the site as the concept of ″open space.″ On the contrary, considering the specialty of police affairs, the north-east part of the site, which contains the police billeting area and rest area, were designed to maintain security by using the concept of ″closed space.″ To express an identity of the KPA, 'Podori', a police mascot, the plaza was designed and is suppose to function as the hub of the community. In the front section of the plaza, a symmetrical planting pattern, centering the strong axis, was introduced to strengthen its symbolic meaning. Traditional window frames such as the pattern of 'Pisal-jige'and 'Umulsal-jige' were used for the paving system which is applied as the environment friendly design. Site facilities and furnitrue were placed at every important spot in order to connect various spaces organically. As these well-tied spaces properly shared their function, spatial sequence and management would be promoted. The entire space was designed to allow free access of handicapped people. This proposal is meant to create a new image of KangWon province and to enhance the way of inhabitants' think about their community.

건축문화재의 보존관리를 위한 BIM 기반 공간정보 분류체계 구성개념 - 목조를 중심으로 - (Classification System of BIM based Spatial Information for the Preservation of Architectural Heritage - Focused on the Wooden Structure -)

  • It seems obvious that the spatial information of existing architectural heritage will be re-structured utilizing BIM technology. In the future to be able to implement such task, a new system of classification of spatial information, which fit to the structural nature of architectural heritage is necessary. This paper intend to suggest the conceptual model that can be the base of establishing new classification system for architectural heritage. For this study we reviewed researches related to classification system of architectural heritage (CS-AH) and BIM based architectural heritage (BIM-AH), first. As a result, we found that CS-AH is focused on building elevation and type, and BIM-AH is biased on the Library and Parametric Modeling. Second, we figured out a relationship between the CS-AH and BIM-AH. From this analysis, we found that BIM-AH is biased on Library and Parametric since the building elevation and type was focused on CS-AH. This review suggests a potential of the 3D CS-AH to expand the range of research for BIM-AH. At last, we suggest the three concept of classification are: 1)horizontality-accumulation relationship, 2)structure-infill relationship, 3)segment-member relationship. These three concept, together as one system of classification, could provide useful framework of new classification system of spatial information for architectural heritage.
