  • A dynamic-thermodynamic sea ice model with 50-km spatial and 24-hour temporal resolution is used to investigate the spatial and long-term temporal variability of the sea ice cover the Arctic Basin. The model satisfactorily reproduces the averaged main characteristics of the sea ice and the sea ice extent in the Arctic Basin and its decrease in early 1990th. At times model allows to suppose partial recovery of sea ice cover in the last years of twenty century. The employment of explicit form for description of ridging gives opportunity to assume that the observed thinning is the result of reduction the intensity of ridging processes and to estimate long-term variability of probability the ridge free navigation in the different parts of the Arctic Ocean including the North Sea Route area.

  • This study has a subject for the detached houses and mass housing ( alias dictus, Apartment) on the Dae Gu urban area, and has a process of surveying and analyzing the actual using states of dweller in the residential space and has an object of finding the behavioral pattern of the spatial using corresponded to the living activities. As its result, a cultural searching for urban housing is disciplined with the positive study for surveying the living contents emerged form the residential spaces. Limited into sleeping, eating, hosting, familiarity and family ritual, where and how the living activities is appeared according as the housing types and floor types, and what different and common features of its spatial using is possessed, is focused on this study. As Conclusion, it is found that each living activities are differed in the spatial using behavior according to the housing and floor types, but genetically are inherited by the traditional custom. Thus two behavial directions of dweller in public residential architecture have to be reconsidered in the urban housing culture.

  • In the late of 1990s, a super-high-rise residential started with the concept corresponding to a natural view, as the habitants' desire for spaciousness worked on an initiative factor. The appearance of the new style of residential form was encouraged and habitants' items desired were increased by the security of spaciousness for view. The purpose of this study is to understand spatial trans orientation through the plan type focusing the recent case study of super-high-rise and to interpretate spatial changes of residential space following it. For the case study, 20 apartments(or apartment complex) were selected from more than 25 storied super-high -rise located in Seoul and the metropolitan area. On the other hand, the objective facts about super-high-rise were cited in the results of the established studies and the selected cases were extracted from a catalogue and internet

  • As a society advances and develops more rapidly, there is a corresponding increase in an aging population; and therefore, transportation and transportation needs develop in a complicated way. In these times, medical rehabilitation services are required and the demands for these services will increase as time passes. Moreover, the scope of disability as defined by the government has been expanded owing to the welfare policy for the disabled. Therefore, the number of disabled who require medical services is on the rise. Along with an increase in medical rehabilitation demands, the necessity for medical rehabilitation increases as well and its role becomes more diverse on a wider spectrum. However, architectural studies on rehabilitation facilities have been insufficient and there are many problems currently in facilities operations. This study aims to present a spatial organization system along with required space that would form the basis for the most effective spatial plan and facility operation for rehabilitation hospitals.

  • A movement of visitor is a practical means that provides a spatial arrangement of exhibits and validity to that principle. Thus, an exhibition of a museum cannot be completed by an intrinsic value of exhibition itself. Rather, the meaning and value of exhibition can be genuinely evaluated by a visitor's experience and reactions. Therefore, focusing on an correlation between exhibits' spatial configuration and a behavior in a museum, this thesis will establish effective indicators of analysis and their validity in predicting a frequency of visitor's visit depending on the structural form of exhibition space.

  • In this paper, we present a hybrid multi-antenna technique that can minimize the outage probability by combining the diversity and beamforming techniques. The hybrid technique clusters the transmission antennas into multiple groups and exploit diversity among different groups and beamforming within each group. We analyze the performance of the resulting hybrid technique for an arbitrary correlation among the transmission antennas. Through the performance analysis, we derive a closed-form expression of the outage probability for the hybrid technique. This enables to optimize the antenna grouping for the given spatial correlation. We show through numerical results that the hybrid technique can balance the trade-offs between diversity and beamforming according to the spatial correlation and that the optimally designed hybrid technique yields a much lower outage probability than the diversity or beamforming technique does in partially correlated fading channels.

  • Morphing method, one of classic image processing algorithms, has been used in various application fields. The motivation of this work is to investigate its applicability in consideration to geo-spatial data including airborne or space-borne images. For this purpose, the Beier and Neely morphing algorithm is tentatively implemented in the form of a prototype with user interface. As the results, this feature-based morphing with paired image sets can be used for general users: image simulation using two or more images and construction of color-blending image between source image and destination image in different types. Some simple application cases were demonstrated. This scheme is the simple and useful approach for those who want to utilize both geo-spatial data sets and airborne/space-borne image sets.

  • In this study, I would like to inquire about the composition of oegi(外機) on the hip and gable roof. Oegi purlin compose the basic member of framework of a hip and gable roof in both sides roof, supporting the inside end of the side rafter. However, the oegi purlin is not simply used to form hip and gable roof. The effects of using oegi purlin have the advantages of spatial. The spatial advantages are the width of the toekan(退間) increases as the oegi purlin escapes from column row and to increase the ceiling height by becoming a point of staying the ceiling. That reflect the desire to expand indoor space due to changes in worship behavior. Oegi purlin was used not only for structural needs, but also for altering in indoor space due to the changing times.

  • This study starts form the inequity of the spatial accessibility in social services. This study has purpose to descript and analyze the spatial accessibility of social service agencies. While analysing the spatial accessibility, this paper uses comparative method of distance and space-time measures. The results of research are as follows; It needs (1) to enhance the spatial accessibility of the aged and the disabled. (2) to facilitate the spatial accessibility of marginal area or community like rural community. (3) to recognize utilities of distance and space-time measures in the spatial accessibility.

  • Time and space are the foundations of all the narrative. As the aim and content of narrative, spatial narrative plays an increasingly important role in the narrative movies. With the development and application of digital technique, the expressiveness of movie space is enhancing, and spatial narrative has become the focus of directors and critics. As a developing cinematic narrative form, spatial narrative is taking advantage in many aspects, including narrative structure, narrative effect, creative skills and audience acceptance, which can bring breakthrough and innovation to the creation of cinematic narrative. Based on the spatial theory in movies, the paper analyzes the space presentation approaches in the movie Hugo. Combined with the motivating factors, structure factors, symbolic significance and psychological factors of narrative space, the paper specifically analyzes the significance of spatial narrative in American movie Hugo. By researching the glamour of narrative space in the movie, the paper intends to provide certain reference value to the narrative expression of the movies today.
