The purpose of this study was to investigate the current situation of physical and intangible assets, and to analyze the use of planning in a new cultural space creation project areas. For this study, literature survey, filed survey and participant observation methods were used for data collection. The results were as follows. 1) The project's characteristics had a variety of space utilization's scope. It was to emphasize the organizations and participants in the human side. 2) There are the pumping stations, mokgammak, mills, barbershops, marketplaces etc in physical assets, and it was worth the historic or agricultural facility. 3) The using plans of three kinds in hardware facilities, software programs, human ware(human abilities)are linked to each other organically. 4) The problems in the project's process include the administrative and institutional factors rather than planning matters.

Recently, the studio which is urban housing form is rapidly growing up by new residential space according to increasing 1~2 person households form because of Modern members who have changing patterns of life and diversification of social values. The resident of the studio who lives or uses the space for a work such as students, office worker and soho-jok has various characters by a society nature changes and a regional peculiarity. The studio form and function is getting change according to variety trend changes and their life styles. The role and use of residential space also have variety such as the resident who lives in the studio. This study is to find the space utilization for them and reasonable housing solution in that structure, furniture and Wall Storage System of existing studio which is based on the common life patterns. The study's purpose is to propose the furniture design of changeable Wall Storage System according to the analysis.

The development of internet has changed the realm of life from off-line to on-line, causing not only the overall change in society but also urgently demanding change in the basic concept of museum. Virtual Museums have appeared in line with such changes, and they utilize space regardless of real time and space unlike the traditional museums that collected and preserved works for exhibition in physical space thereby playing a role of catalyst for exhibition in virtual space and for direct exchange with the public. Through relevant literatures and case studies, the present research particularly investigated the exhibition characteristics of virtual reality-based museums out of all types of cyber museum, in an effort to make a comparison with those of offline museums, and eventually to suggest a direction of virtual reality museums that would be established in the future and to consider the possibilities of utilizing them.

In order to maximize an availability of machine and utilization of space, the parallel machines scheduling problem with space limit is frequently discussed in the industrial field. In this paper, we consider a scheduling problem for assembly machine in ship engine assembly shop. This paper considers the parallel machine scheduling problem in which n jobs having different release times, due dates and space limits are to be scheduled on m parallel machines. The objective function is to minimize the sum of earliness and tardiness. To solve this problem, a heuristic is developed. The proposed heuristic is divided into three modules hierarchically: job selection, machine selection and job sequencing, solution improvement. To illustrate its effectiveness, a proposed heuristic is evaluated with a large number of randomly generated test problems based on the field situation. Through the computational experiment, we determine the job selection rule that is suitable to the problem situation considered in this paper and show the effectiveness of our heuristic.

Interactions with the environment do to firm, deny, or challenge the existing knowledge. People who suffer from the loss of the sight have difficulty conceiving the space and the direction as well as walking. In the study, it wanted to reveal that the border that Is provided as a transfer clue has psychological and functional meaning to the sight-disabled people under given circumstances. It suggests that there is another space among the physical borders and analyzes the utilization clue in the entry space, which is the first starting point that can transfer, and obstacle factors which may happen at that point. And, it also wanted to present the surrounding environmental improvement ways for walking which is smooth and confident based on them.

The International Space Station (ISS) offers research opportunities to researchers through crew's space mission in the field of remote sensing. ISS provides the facilities to place and operate experiment equipments in a variety of fields, especially, microgravity experiments and Earth observations. This paper is intended to give readers a brief introduction to the ISS utilization and the capabilities for remote sensing researches. We investigate what kind of crew missions and payloads should be developed for remote sensing researches on the ISS.

Commercial remote-sensing is one of the applied fields of space activities which, like telecommunications but to a lesser extent, is in the process of recording a reapid rate of development. Fields of utilization for spatial imagery are numerous: ocean monitoring, crops monitoring, glaciology, meteorlogy, forestry, environmental watch, geology, etc. All those fields of interest could be gathered under the generic name of "earth-watching activities" which is somewhat larger than "remote-sensing." This article aims at presenting to Korean readers the main lines of development of five major players in the field, namely : the USA, France, Japan, Europe and Canada. This is not to exclude the role played by other active players such as the former USSR and other smaller though industrious space powers.

In this paper, we propose the methodology and system to show weather information to spatial system. When using the spatial information system, it is easy and convenient to show information such as target location, mission contents, enemy threats and so on. However, drawing 1-dimensional weather information on 3-dimensional space in spatial information system is hard task. To fuse data, we need to add a spatial layer including weather information to spatial layers and perform space modeling for showing weather information as spatial data in a virtual space. The virtual space is shown by receiving meteorological data and then changing in real time through weather database linkage.

The Log-structured File System (LFS) collects all modified data into a memory buffer and writes them sequentially to a segment on disk. Therefore, it has the potential to utilize the maximum bandwidth of storage devices where sequential writes are much faster than random writes. However, as disk space is finite, LFS has to conduct cleaning to produce free segments. This cleaning operation is the main reason LFS performance deteriorates when file system utilization is high. To overcome painful cleaning and reduced performance of LFS, we propose the segment space recycling (SSR) scheme that directly writes modified data to invalid areas of the segments and describe the classification method of data and segment to consider locality of reference for optimizing SSR scheme. We implement U-LFS, which employs our segment space recycling scheme in LFS, and experimental results show that SSR scheme increases performance of WOLF by up to 1.9 times in HDD and 1.6 times in SSD when file system utilization is high.

It has been almost 20 years since Korea has started the research of school facilities, but there has not been any form of organized information or studies done about such a trend of the research. In this respect, this research places its focus on categorizing 44 policy studies initiated and proceeded by different organizations for last twenty years(1983-2004) and 186 volumes of the research about education facility plans and projects released by journal of Architectural Institute of Korea and journal of Korean Institute of Educational Facilities in 17 subjects of this study. It also concentrates on organizing data based on different levels of schools and periods of time as well as understanding the trend. The result of this research is followings. Considering every volume of the paper and the subjects that have previously been treated in those papers, the trend of this study is divided into the first stage of research period(1983-1993), the second stage of research period(1994-2001), and the third stage of research period(2002-present). Of all the papers, there has been the most number of papers objecting elementary schools(110 volumes, 56.1%), and most of them focused on space formation, size, and the present situation of utilization of each classroom in elementary schools. In the meantime, the studies about educational information, application of the media, space formation and size under teachers'consent, two-dimension types, a design of outdoor space(including gardens), the present situation of utilization, remodeling of school facilities, an evaluation of space and recognition-awareness analysis have been mainly done since 1995. Such a result mentioned above provides a sense of understanding about a level of studies about education facilities in our country, and as a basic source for future guidelines of studies and contents, in my personal opinion, it contains a high level of application.
