1. Objectives The primary purpose of this case study is to report that a Soyangin Yin Exhausted Syndrome Patient Diagnosed as Gout was treated with 'Soyangin Hyungbangsabaek-san(荊防瀉白散)' and then his symptoms and Laboratory test(serum) improved. 2. Methods We diagnosed him as Gout on Soyangin Yin Exhausted Syndrome. So we treated his with 'Soyangin Hyungbangsabaek-san(荊防瀉白散)'. 3. Results and Conclusions The constitutional treatment with herb-medicine(Soyangin Hyungbangsabaek-san(荊防瀉白散) on Soyangin Yin Exhausted Syndrome Patient Diagnosed as Gout, his symptoms and Laboratory test(serum) improved. 'Soyangin Hyungbangsabaek-san(荊防瀉白散)' may take efffect Soyangin Yin Exhausted Syndrome.

Objectives : This study was designed to assess the effect of Soyangin Medicines on Soyangin chronic urticaria patients by retrospective methods.Methods : We treated 37 Soyangin chronic urticaria patients who visited Haneulmaeum Korean Medicine Clinic from September 1st 2011 to June 30th 2014. We administrated the Soyangin patients with Soyangin Medicines such as Hyeongbangsabaek-san(荊防瀉白散), Yanggyeoksanwha-tang(凉膈散火湯) and so on for 3 months. We measured the effect biweekly by using Urticaria Activity Score(UAS). We analyzed the information and medical history of patients by Frequency analysis, and UAS by Repeated measures, ANOVA.Results & Conclusions : Every items of UAS were improved by Soyangin Medicines. And the improvement was statistically significant(p<0.05).

1. Objectives: This research was proposed to find out the pathology of Soyangin in Sasang Constitutional Medicine(SCM). 2. Methods: The related contents of the pathology of Soyangin were selected in Je-Ma Lee's literatures such as "Dongmu-YuGo(東武遺稿)"(DYG), "Donguisusebowon-SaSangchobongyun(東醫壽世保元四象草本卷)"(DSS), "Donguisusebowon-GabObon(東醫壽世保元甲午本)"(DGO), "Donguisusebowon-ShinChukbon(東醫壽世保元辛丑本)"(DSC), and the research was written in order to find out the physiology and pathology of Soyangin in SCM. 3. Results and Conclusions: The chronical change of pathologic concept in Soyangin diseases as follows : Pathology in Soyangin diseases was much Hot Qi(熱氣), and more ascending Qi, less descending Qi in DYG, DSS. In "Discourse on the viscera and bowels" of DGO and DSC, Soyangin has a circulation of Water-Food Hot Qi of Spleen Group(脾黨) and Water-Food Cold Qi of Kidney Group(腎黨). Exterior Disease(表病) was the injury of Exterior-Qi such as mouth-hip Qi(口膀胱氣) by Anger-Nature-Qi(怒性氣), and Interior Disease(裏病) was the injury of Interior-Qi such as kidney-large intestine Qi(腎大腸氣) by Sorrow-Emotion-Qi(哀情氣). All diseases of Soyangin are caused by insufficient Cool Yin Qi(陰淸之氣) in Kidney Group(腎黨), so the pathology of Soyangin was focused on Requisite energy(保命之主) and each small viscera and bowels(偏小之臟). In this viewpoint, the schema of Soyangin diseases such as Soyangsangpoong-syndrome(少陽傷風證), Kyulhyung-syndrome(結胸證), Mangeum-syndrome(亡陰證), Hyungkyukyeol-syndrome(胸膈熱證), Sogal-syndrome(消渴證) and Eumhuoyeol-syndrome(陰虛午熱證) were designed to explain the mechanism of each syndrome.

Byun-jo(煩躁) is the word that including in irritability, restlessness, delirium, chest discomfort, insomnia in oriental medicine. Byun-jo is one of symptom in Soyangin(少陽人)(one of human type in Sasang constitutional medicine(四象醫學)) Interior-overheated-disease(裏熱證). In the book 'dongyi soose bowon(東醫壽世保元)', Soyangin Gihwangbeakho-tang(地黃白虎湯) is used at Soyangin Interior-overheated-disease. One post-stroke patient developed new syptom named Byun-jo for 2 months. the patient was classified as Soyangin by somatotype, the emotional patterns. the patient treated with Soyangin Gihwangbeakho-tang for 7days, and the symptom Byun-jo was disappeared. This result revealed that Soyangin Gihwangbeakho-tang was effect on reducing the symtom Byun-jo in Soyangin patient.

1. Purpose Between "HamsanSachon Dongyi Suse Bowon GaboGubon" and ShinChukbon "Dongyi Suse Bowon", there are many differences and changes of contents. It is due to the changes of Dong-Mu's recognition about symptoms. Therefore, this study will aim to compare constitutional symptoms of Soyangin's with Taeumin's about sweating and pissing. 2. Methods In ShinChukbon "Dongyi Suse Bowon", I found contents about sweating and pissing, and compared constitutional symptoms of Soyangin's with Taeumin's about sweating and pissing. 3. Result and Conclusion 1) In ShinChukbon "Dongyi Suse Bowon", I concluded that Soyangin who has interior disease may piss lesser than Soyangin who has ordinary symptoms. Otherwise, Taeumin who has interior disease may piss more than Taeumin who has ordinary symptoms. 2) In ShinChukbon "Dongyi Suse Bowon", I concluded that Soyangin who has interior disease sweats more than Soyangin who has ordinary symptoms. Otherwise, Taeumin who has interior disease may sweat lesser than Taeumin who has ordinary symptoms. 3) The results of this study was to compare Soyangin with Taeumin on ShinChukbon "Dongyi Suse Bowon". More studies are demanded in other writings of Dong-Mu's.

1. Purpose This study is intend to catch DongMu(東武)'s viewpoint of Chobongeun Soyangin prescription. 2. Method Through Comparing Chongeun Soyangin prescriptions and medications on those of DongEuiBoGam(東醫寶鑑), DongyiSooseBowon Gabobon and DongyiSooseBowon Sinchukbon, we can find DongMu(東武)'s viewpoint of Sasang Constitutional Medicine. 3. Results 1) The same Hi prescriptions between DongEuiBoGam(東醫寶鑑) and Chobongeun Soyangin are not entirely identical. 2) GamCho(甘草), GaengMi(粳米) and Sagunja(使君子) were used in the Chobongeun Soyangin prescriptions. that means DongMu(東武)'s viewpoint of Sasang Constitutional Medicine was not entirely established. 3) PaedockSan(敗毒散), VukmijihwangTang(六味地黃湯) and BaekhoTang(白虎湯) were representative prescriptions in the Chobongeun Soyangin prescriptions. And that prescriptions were connected to DongyiSooseBowon Sinchukbon. 4) The same kind medications which were record on DongEuiBoGam(東醫寶鑑) and Chobongeun Soyangin are eighteen. And that medications are the structural principle of Chobongeun Soyangin prescriptions.

1. Purpose and Methode of study This study is that How to connect the characteristics of Sasang constitionion with Aptitude Test. To know the characteristics of each individual in modern times Generally, Psychological Aptitude Test is used. So, According to Sasang constitional groups classified with QSCC II, KIPAT occupation aptitude test ( total 55) and KAT-A aptitude test(total 260) was used. 2. Result of study 1) KIPAT occupation aptitude test rest of Sasang constitional groups Taeumin Group appeared high than another Group in investigative occupation and there is the significant difference between Taeumin Group and Soeumin Group Taeumin Group appeared high than another Group in technological occupation and there is the significant difference between Taeumin Group and Soyangin Group Taeumin Group appeared high than another Group in control aptitude and there is the significant difference between Taeumin Group and Soeumin Group Soyangin Group appeared high than another Group in instigation aptitude and progressive aptitude and there is the significant difference between Soyangin Group and Soeumin Group Soeumin Group appeared high than another Group in utility aptitude and there is the significant difference between Soeumin Group and Taeumin Group, between Soeumin Group and Soyangin Group. Soyangin Group appeared high than another Group in guilty conscience and there is the significant difference between Soyangin Group and Taeuwun Group. Soeumin Group appeared high than another Group in independence aptitude and there is the significant difference between Soeumin Group and Taeumin Group Taeumin Group appeared high than another Group in calculation ability and there is the significant difference between Taeunun Group and Soeumin Group 2) KAT-A aptitude test result of Sasang constitional groups Soyangin Group appeared high than another Group in vacabulary ability and there is the significant difference between Soyangin Group and Taeumin Group. When classified male and female, in the case of male, It showed that Soyangin Group is lower than Other Group in vacabulary ability and there is the significant difference between Soyangin Group and Taeumin Group , between Soyangin Group and Soeumin Group but there is no significant difference in the case of female.

Objectives : This study is for discovering the clinical Features of the sleep in ordinary symptoms based on the Sasang Constitution. The result of this study could be helpful to understand and to identify the patients as Soyangin in contrast with the other constitutions -Soeumin, Taeumin and Taeyangin. Methods : There were 1,229 patients(700 female), who answered the questionnaire about their ordinary sleeping patterns. They had been diagnosed, including their clinical Sasang Constitution, by the Sasang Constitution specialist at Bundang Oriental Hospital of Dongguk University. By applying the binary logistic regression analysis, we can measure the characteristics and the influence of ordinary sleeping patterns to the dependent variable(Sasang Constitution). Results : As a result of the binary logistic analysis on the observed questionnaire, we found the characteristics of the ordinary sleeping patterns on Soyangin in contrast with the other constitutions. Firstly, Soyangin has a tendency that he wouldn't dreams more, when he sleeps in contrast with the others. Secondly, Soyangin has a tendency that he wouldn't sleep longer than 6-7hours. Thirthly, Soyangin has a tendency that he will sleep well in contrast with the others. Conclusion : This study will be used to identify patients as Soyangin in contrast with the others-Soemin, Taeumin and Taeyangin.

1. Purpose This study is intended to catch the expasion of theory of Sasang Constitutional Medicine through comparision DongyiSooseBowon Chopanbon with DongyiSooseBowon Chobonguen and DongyiSooseBowon Gabobon. 2. Method I compared the Soyangin's prescription and medications of DongyiSooseBowon Chopanbon with those of DongyiSooseBowon Chobonguen and Dongyisoosebowon Gabobon. 3. Result and conclusion 1) Soyangin's Medications of the same kind in Chobonguen's prescriptions and Gabobon's and Chopann's are thirty-two; like Bangpoong(防風), Hyeunggye(荊芥), Sangjihwang(生地黃), sukgo(石膏), etc. And these medications are the principle in Soyangin's disease. 2) Soyangin's Prescriptions of the same name in Chobonguen's prescriptions and Gabobon's and Chopanbon's are Yangdokbackhotang(陽毒白虎湯). Chopanbon's Yangdokbackhotang(陽毒白虎湯) is more rational and effective prescription. 3) Soyangin's Prescriptions of the same name in Chobonguen's prescriptions and Gabobon's are eleven; Bangpoongtongseungsan(防風通聖散), chengumdojuksan(千金導赤散), etc. These prescriptions are similar in the structure. 4) Soyangin's Prescriptions of the same name in Gabobon's prescriptions and Chopanbon's are five; Hyungbangpaedoksan(荊防敗毒散), Yangdokbackhotang(陽毒白虎湯). etc. These Prescriptions make a change in the structure from Gabobon's to Chopanbon's. As this we know that Dongmu(東武) selected Sasang Constitutional prescription and medication in detail as he has the more experience of treatment.

Objectives: This case study reports on improvements after treating patients who had abnormal liver function values in Soyangin gyolhyungjeung with Soyangin hyeongbangdojeok-san-gami.Methods: The study was carried out with three patients who showed abnormal liver function values in Soyangin gyolhyungjeung. Liver function tests (LFT) and numerical rating scales (NRS) were used to evaluate symptoms.Results: After we treated three patients with Soyangin hyeongbangdojeok-san-gami, their symptoms and LFT results had improved considerably.Conclusions: Soyangin hyeongbangdojeok-san-gami appears to have a useful effect on abnormal liver function values in Soyangin gyolhyungjeung. Further clinical studies are needed to verify these findings.
