지역축제와 연계한 관광문화상품 디자인 개발에 관한 연구 - 강원도 인제군 목공예산업을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Development of Design for Travel Souvenir Connected with a Local Festival - Focusing on the Wood-Craft Industry of Inje-county in Gangwon-province -)

  • 본 연구는 강원도 인제군 향토축제의 활성화와 목공예산업의 동반 육성을 궁극적인 목적으로 하고 있으며, 이에 따라 'DESIGN HOSPITAL' 의 운영, '퍼즐(Puzzle)식 레이저 목재상감 기법'을 접목시킨 모듈화 생산공정 구축을 통한 지역고유성을 상징하는 목공예 관광기념품의 디자인 개발 및 축제와 연계한 생산 유통계획을 수립하여 제시하였다. 연구방법으로서 문화컨텐츠화를 목표로 추진된 타 시 군 지역축제의 관광기념품 개발 성공사례를 분석, 벤치마킹을 통해 인제군의 여건에 적합한 관광문화상품 개발계획을 수립하고자 하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 우선, 가칭 '문화상품 DESIGN HOSPITAL'의 운용으로 생산업체에 디자인 아웃소싱을 실시, 디자인 전문 브레인을 무상 공급하여 인력난 해소 및 단기간의 제품개발 능력을 확보할 수 있도록 하였다. 이를 토대로 첨단 디지털 제작기술의 도입 및 활용에 의한 대량맞춤(Mass Customization) 생산을 적용하여 축제의 특성에 적합한 문화상품 생산유연성을 확보 가능토록 했으며, 차별화 된 마케팅 전략, 관광기념품 공모전을 통한 제품의 디자인파워 제고, 캐릭터 개발 등의 세부계획 실천으로 관내 목공예업체의 수익성 제고와 지역 문화/경제의 발전 가능성을 동시에 획득할 수 있도록 최적안을 제시하고자 하였다.

  • The importance of souvenirs are increasing immensely these days owing to the increase of foreign visitors to our country, which forces us to turn our eyes to this field. Upon these reflections, this study aims at aims at developing cap designs that satisfy the foreign tourists needs and let them recognize the outstanding beauty of Korean traditional patterns by applying traditional motifs. The Korean traditional patterns and their symbolic meanings were researched as well as the previous studies on the designing of goods for foreign visitors which had traditional patterns applied. Furthermore, the overall tendencies of the purchase of souvenirs and goods by foreign tourists in Korea as well as in foreign countries were investigated. Next, the present state of apparel goods and caps for sightseers in Korea was analyzed according to their shapes, colors, and patterns. Finally, by using CAD system, new cap designs were developed applying traditional bat motifs in order to capture the traditional images for a modern sense of beauty.

  • This study is focused on apparel textile design process applying pre-developed Korean traditional motifs. Since the fusion culture is in trend, Orientalism or Oriental look is the center of attraction in fashion. Under the circumstances, developing the traditional resources as sophisticated Korean-style is the goal of the BK21 team. This study makes a move to achieve the goal. As a method of accomplishing this study, 4 trendy motif samples such as stylized letter, butterfly, peony, and female face are selected after investigating fashion magazines and fashion related websites. As a result, pre-developted Korean traditional motifs are elected and revised using Adobe Illustrator 9.0. The newly revised motifs are applied to the textile pattern repeat form. The completed textile patterns are simulated on the simulated on the shawls to show their usages as one of souvenir items since the year of 2001 is the year of “Visit Korea”.

관광기념 의류상품 패션이미지 추구에 따른 시장세분화 및 세분시장 특성 연구 -제주 관광객 소비자들을 대상으로- (Tourism market segmentation in Cheju Island based on fashion image of clothing souvenir and characterisitcs of sub-segments)

  • The purposes of this study were 1) to identify different sub-segments of tourism market in Cheju island based on fashion image of clothing souvenir and 2) to provide manufactures with useful information for developing cultural fashion goods related to Cheju island. The data were collected via a self-administered questionnaire from 192 female tourist(20-59 years old) in Cheju and analyzed by factor analysis, cluster analysis, one-way ANOVA and $\chi$$^2$-test. Six factors of fashion image were found image were found and labeled as: Sexy/feminine, wild/mannish, easy/simple, Cheju, ecology, natural image. Four factors of benefit sought were also identified: Practicality/economic-value, fashionability/preference of design, reputation and souvenir-value. Three groups were identified based on fashion image sought: Image of primitive nature(G1: 37.7%), image of nature in the city(G2: 20.1%), sexy/feminine image(G3: 42.2%). There were significant differences among sub-groups in age, fashion innovation, benefit sought and intention of buying Gal-ot. Younger females(20-30 ages) were included more in group 1 than group 2 while older females(40-50 ages) were included more in group 2. Group 1 had a higher score of fashion innovation comparing group 3. Group 1 had the highest scores on practicality/economic-value and souvenir-value. However, group 2 placed the highest importance on reputation as well as practicality/economic-value and group 3 had the lowest scores on all types of benefit. Group 1 and group 2 had intention of buying Gal-ot more than group 1. Based on the results of this study, manufactures may implement target marketing strategies on group 1 which sought the image of primitive nature and group 2 which sought the image of nature in the city.

유용생물자원을 이용한 천연염료의 개발 및 문화상품전개 - 함평나비축제를 위한 관광기념품 개발에 관한 연구중심으로 - (Development of Natural Dyeing Pigments and Culture Goods with Useful Biological Resources - Research on Development of Tourist Souvenirs for Hampyeong Butterfly Festival -)

  • This study is to develop tourist souvenir which designed image of butterfly, the symbol of Hampyeong Butterfly Festival, using natural dyeing product, the specialty of Namdo region. Results of market survey of tourist souvenirs for Hampyeong Butterfly festival showed that souvenirs of butterfly design sold in market which were not discriminated from that of general products and locality or characteristic of the region could not be exhibited. According to the results of market survey, design of souvenirs of Hampyeong Butterfly Festival is as follows; Butterfly pattern of hinge and Dangcho pattern are developed to graphic motive of modern sense with traditional beauty to make design which can be consumed by modern consumers in their actual life and then proper pattern is planned by combining, repeating and disassembling them. Such a pattern is applied to souvenirs like T-shirts, necktie and scarf to make tourists feel identity and unification of the festival visually. In addition, design of souvenirs was made to be coordinated with casuals. Therefore, visual factor could be extracted from Korean cultural heritages suitable to concept of local festivals and it is considered that ways of commercialization and development of traditional pattern suitable to consumers' demands can be suggested.

제주옹기 지역문화자원을 활용한 프린트 문양 및 문화상품 개발 (The Development of Print Patterns and Cultural Products Using the Local Culture Resource of Jeju Onggi as a Design Motif)

  • This study reviewed the differences among Onggis made in Jeju and other areas, developed creative textile designs and cultural products, and conducted the consumer evaluation of developed products. First, the 1,063 photos of Onggis made before the first part of the 20th century were collected and the unique differences of Jeju Onggis were confirmed through the observation of collected photos. Second, based on the uniqueness of Jeju Onggis, the eight pieces of Jeju Onggis were selected from the photos and used as pattern design motifs. Nine basic patterns were drawn and ten textile designs were created using the basic patterns. Third, the 16 pieces of textile products were made with cotton fabrics on which the textile designs were printed. Four mugs and four tumblers with printed patterns were also made. Finally, 64 students evaluated the developed products using a 7-point scale. As a result, folksy atmosphere, uniqueness, usage as a Jeju souvenir and at local restaurants, and the role of fostering concern for Jeju Onggi were highly evaluated but aesthetics was rated relatively low. Most of the developed products were highly preferred and recommended as Jeju souvenirs or for local restaurants.

  • Recently, the field of university PR(public relations) and UI(university identity) come to be emphasized as a remarkable one because the applicants to the universities are consistently reduced in Korea. The purpose of this thesis is to present a souvenir for university PR which is designed in a clothing commodity, easily accessible to visitors, helping students and university officials to keep a pride to our university. We have designed four kinds of clothing, ie T-shirts, polo-shirts, trousers, and hats, after scrutinizing those of other universities. By making change the length of sleeves and slacks, the four kinds were transformed into eight kinds of clothing commodities. The basic trend of this design is on the trompe l'oeil, with the colors being white, grey and black ones, which are of 100% cotton.

G-ASPOO-L: The Technopreneurship-Based Supply Chain Management Model for Souvenirs MSMEs to Reach Customer Value Creation

  • Purpose: The purpose of this research is to identify and design a model for the integration between marketing and supply chain management (SCM) of technopreneurship-based souvenirs MSMEs to fulfil customer value creation. Research design, data and methodology: This research method uses the system development life cycle method. This study draws its insights and conclusions from a literature review in several fields followed by an interactive research approach that helps identify, validate, and implement a theoretical framework so that the modelling results can be adopted in applicative manner for souvenir MSMEs. Result: Implementing the "G-ASPOO-L" supply chain management integration model based on technopreneruship to fulfil value creation in the 5.0 society era created three perspectives: an inter-functional perspective, a process perspective, and an integrated business concept perspective. The supply chain management involves enterprise integration, strategic customer integration, strategic supplier integration, and marketing strategy integration. Conclusion: The proposed model framework leads to managerial problems of supply chain management strategy, which urgently requires an interaction approach that challenges the traditional view of demand creation and implementation of supply chain management to fulfil value creation. This research leverages existing knowledge and advances our understanding of the strategic integration issues companies face in digital-based competition.

문화상품으로서 토트 가방에 나타난 문화정체성과 디자인 개발 -한복의 모티브를 중심으로- (The Cultural Identity Found in Tote Bags as a Cultural Product and the a Development of a Design -Focused on Hanbok Motifs-)

  • A bag is a daily article carried in one's hand or on one's shoulder for things as well as a fashion item. The functions of a bag were derived to include portability, decorativeness, brand identity, message communicability and cultural identity. Souvenir bags sold at a gallery or a museum are goods to maximize the cultural identity of a bag based on national emblems, exhibitions and characters as design motifs. Based on the typological analysis of souvenir bags showing cultural identity, this study developed a design with a motif of Hanbok from Korean traditional cultural content to develop a tote bag design that reveals Korean cultural identity. Under a traditional Hanbok motif colors, sizes and patterns were reinterpreted in a modern perspective. For such a research purpose, 8 kinds of tote bags were developed. A tote bag design that reflects Korean cultural identity will contribute to raising the potential to develop cultural goods that are modern, popular and differentiated in the global market.

수베니어를 융합한 가상현실 기반의 문화 관광지 가상체험 서비스 (Virtual Reality Based Cultural Tourist Attractions converging with Souvenir)

  • 본 연구는 관광객이 문화 관광지에서 구매한 수베니어에 가상현실 콘텐츠를 접목하여 단순한 전시용도가 아닌 새로운 상품으로서의 가능성을 제시하였다. 수베니어를 연계하여 VR Viewer를 착용한 증강현실 콘텐츠 재생 및 가상현실 기술 기반의 문화 관광지 가상체험 서비스를 구현하였으며, 사용자가 가상공간에서 몰입감을 높일 수 있는 4K급 고품질 $360^{\circ}$영상 촬영, 가상현실 공간 구현 및 IMU(Inertial Measurement Unit)센서를 이용한 사용자와의 직관적인 UI 인터랙션이 가능하게 하였으며, 가상공간에 3D 콘텐츠 및 다양한 부가기능 부여 및 비즈니스 모델에 맞춘 기술개발을 통해 상품성을 향상시키고, 향후 다양한 타 분야 접목이 가능하도록 하였다. 또한, 사용자가 구매할 수베니어와 VR viewer는 본 연구에서 제작할 콘텐츠가 반영되도록 3D 프린터 등을 활용해 별도의 제작공정을 들여 프로토타입 형태로 제작하고, 이 후 기성품 사용 등을 위한 해당 기업과의 협의 등을 통해 다양한 상품으로 확장 고려될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.
