  • In recent, cloud computing paradigm and open source as a huge trend in the Information Communication Technology (ICT) are widely applied, being closely interrelated to each other in the various applications. The integrated services by both technologies is generally regarded as one of a prospective web-based business models impacting the concerned industries. In spite of progressing those technologies, there are a few application cases in the geo-based application domains. The purpose of this study is to develop a cloud-based service system for satellite image processing based on the pure and full open source. On the OpenStack, cloud computing open source, virtual servers for system management by open source stack and image processing functionalities provided by OTB have been built or constructed. In this stage, practical image processing functions for KOMPSAT within this service system are thresholding segmentation, pan-sharpening with multi-resolution image sets, change detection with paired image sets. This is the first case in which a government-supporting space science institution provides cloud-based services for satellite image processing functionalities based on pure open source stack. It is expected that this implemented system can expand with further image processing algorithms using public and open data sets.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the mediating effect of trust when a media broadcaster (such as a disc jockey [DJ]) acting as an information source and the content they provide during live commerce streaming affect acceptance intention. Live commerce is increasing rapidly, offering a new fashion distribution channel by supplementing possible shortcomings of existing online shopping. Data was collected for the empirical study from female consumers in their 20s who actively accepted fashion technology. Statistical analysis of the data was conducted using IBM SPSS Macro Process 3.5. First, the reliability and validity of the variables for information source characteristics, content informativeness, trust, and acceptance intention were verified, and each variable was confirmed as a single factor. Bootstrap analysis was performed using Macro Process Model 4 to reveal the effects of information source characteristics and content informativeness on acceptance intention. As a result of analyzing the mediating effect for each path model with trust as a parameter, it was found that both the direct and indirect effects of the mediating path were significant. This result means that the characteristics of information sources and content informativeness are partially mediated by trust. Therefore, to promote consumer behavior in a live commerce shopping environment, it is necessary to enhance trust. This can be achieved by a media broadcaster with fashion expertise to increase the perception of the attractiveness of the information source and to improve the usefulness of the fashion information being delivered.

  • In this paper, we attempt to prevent certain cases by tracing a history and making genogram about open source software and its modification using similarity of source code. There are many areas which use open source software actively and widely, and open source software contributes their development. However, there are many unconscious cases like ignoring license or intellectual properties infringe which can lead litigation. To prevent such situation, we analyze source code similarity using program dependence graph which resembles subgraph isomorphism problem, a typical NP-complete problem. To solve subgraph isomorphism problem, we utilized harmony search of metaheuristic algorithm and compared its result with a genetic algorithm. For the future works, we represent open source software as program dependence graph and analyze their similarity.

  • In this paper, we try to explore the nature of open source software development process. The process involves peculiar characteristics which seem to defy the traditional economic reasoning for technology policy. Based upon the comparative case study of open source software development process with the two innovation processes adopted from literature on economic history, we argue that technology policy should strike the balance between provision of innovation incentives and voluntary disclosure of information.

  • We have developed an efficient electron beam (e-beam) source, a microcolumn, that can be used as a source module for of microscopy and its applications. To obtain a low operating voltage, a very sharp cold field electron emitter was developed by electrochemically etching a tungsten wire. Laser diffraction was used for the fabrication of high-quality electron lenses and for their precise alignment. The measurement of the e-beam currents, and SEM images captured by the microcolumn confirmed the potential of the device as a very good e-beam source.

  • This study confirmed the types of shopping information sources during travel abroad, and developed a profile of tourists in terms of demographics, travel, and shopping behavior. Shopping information sources and characteristics of shopping products were identified first. Thereafter, travelers were segmented by their information-seeking behavior. An online survey method was used to get data from Korean vacationers in their 20s-50s, while factor analysis, cluster analysis, ${\chi}^2$ test and ANOVA were applied to analyze data. The results were as follows. First, the shopping information sources of overseas tourists were composed of four factors including sources from travel agents/media, information from travel books and local sources, and word-of-mouth sources. Also, four factors in product types and four product attributes were identified. Second, tourists were clustered into two groups, active and passive shopping information seekers, based on shopping source behavior. Third, two groups differed in terms of demographics, showing an older age and higher income for active shopping source seekers. Active shopping information users tended to join package trips with family members, and they were more satisfied with the trip. With regard to shopping, active shopping source seekers spent more money for shopping and preferred all kinds of shopping goods with an emphasis on travel shopping. In conclusion, shopping information sources seemed to be a meaningful tool for segmenting tourists. Rich, older, family tourists would be an major target market for local retailers.

  • Program source code is a set of complex syntactic information which are expressed in text forms, and contains complex logical structures. Structural and logical complexity inside source code become barriers in applying visualization techniques shown in traditional big-data approaches when the volume of source code become over ten-thousand lines of code. This paper suggests a procedure for making visualization of structural characteristics in source code. For this purpose, this paper defines internal data structures as well as inter-procedural relationships among functions. The paper also suggests a means of outlining the structural characteristics of source code by visualizing the source codes with network forms The result of the research work can be used as a means of controling and understanding the massive volume of source code.

Awarematics/WMSServer is a open-source web map service server developed Kunsan National University and National Information Agency(NIA). Recently in GIS areas, It tends to increase System Construction which developed by using Open-source GIS, but we have not developed yet ourself-made Open-source GIS Engine in Korea. This paper describes function, design, and implementation of Awarematics/WMSServer serviced and developed by NIA and Kunsan Natioanl University.

  • This study aims to investigate the effect of message content and source user identity on information diffusion in Twitter networks. For the empirical study, we collected 11,346 tweets pertaining to the three major mobile telecom carriers in Korea for three months, from September to December 2011. These tweets generated 59,111 retweets (RTs) and were retweeted at least once. Our analysis indicates that information diffusion in Twitter in terms of RT volume is affected primarily by the type of message content, such as the inclusion of corporate social responsibility activities. However, the effect of message content on information diffusion is heterogeneous to the identity of the information source. We argue that user identity affects recipients' perception of the credibility of focal information. Our study offers insights into the information diffusion mechanism in online social networks and provides managerial implications on the strategic utilization of online social networks for marketing communications with customers.

  • The transmission opportunities between nodes in Delay Tolerant Network (DTNs) are uncertain, and routing algorithms in DTNs often need nodes serving as relays for others to carry and forward messages. Due to selfishness, nodes may ask the source to pay a certain reward, and the reward may be varying with time. Moreover, the reward that the source obtains from the destination may also be varying with time. For example, the sooner the destination gets the message, the more rewards the source may obtain. The goal of this paper is to explore efficient ways for the source to maximize its total reward in such complex applications when it uses the probabilistic two-hop routing policy. We first propose a theoretical framework, which can be used to evaluate the total reward that the source can obtain. Then based on the model, we prove that the optimal forwarding policy confirms to the threshold form by the Pontryagin's Maximum Principle. Simulations based on both synthetic and real motion traces show the accuracy of our theoretical framework. Furthermore, we demonstrate that the performance of the optimal forwarding policy with threshold form is better through extensive numerical results, which conforms to the result obtained by the Maximum Principle.
