하이브리드 로워암 반응고 사출시 주조변수에 따른 레오캐스팅 충진거동에 대한 연구 (Flow Characteristic of Hybrid-Lower Arm on Casting Parameters in Rheocasting Process)

  • H-NCM(Hong-Nanocast Method)has several benefits such as a lower porosity defect and high quality casting comparing to conventional die casting. Influence of casting parameters of hybrid-lower arm in rheocasting process on the slurry flow and the amount of porosity defect was investigated using experimental and simulation methods. In the present study, the Carreau model was adopted to simulate the pattern of rheological flow. Optimal casting paremeters such as injection speed and stroke variations were established. Sound products with integral microstructure and sound shape of joinning different materials of Al and steel pipe without deforming the steel pipe were obtained by the H-NCM slurry and X-ray analysis also showed integral condition throughout the entire parts.

오리제초 수도작의 벼 수량, 경제성 및 환경친화성 평가 (Yield of Rice, Analysis of Economics and Environmental Impact in Duck-Paddy Rice)

  • The duck-rice forming system is increasingly spread up throughout Korea since 1992. It is discussed the rice field, rice quality, weed and pest management in the duck-rice weeding system compared to conventional farming system. Moreover the optimizing duck population, system management and fertilizer application rate were reported. Energy input and output by duck-rice farming system were carefully compared with those of low input sustainable paddy field and conventional farming paddy field. To find out the environmentally sound function of duck-rice system, the total nitrogen in paddy soil and paddy water, and nitrogen cycle in paddy rice cultivation system were analysed. finally the input and output were calculated, and ecological characteristic were determined in terms of nitrogen balance, labor input, animal input, renewable energy input, turnover of soil organic matter, energy loss, non-renewable indirect and direct energy input. It was concluded duck-rice weeding system could be recommended in terms of net only environmentally sound, but also farmer's income. But there are still some research needs for successful adaption of duck-rice farming to investigate to determine the optimal population of duck in rice paddy field unit, release time of duckling, duck management after release, and strategy for duck marketing and duck processing.

  • In mobile phones of multimedia era, microspeakers of high quality sound are essential parts to generate human voice in speaker phone and MP3 song player. In this paper, two types of microspeakers, outer permanent magnet (PM) and combined PM type, are analyzed using electromagnetic, mechanical, acoustical and their coupling analysis. For performance comparison, voice coil diameter is chosen as a design parameter to change excitation position and magnet volume for both types. For combined PM type, sound pressure level (SPL) is improved due to increased PM volume compared to outer PM type. Also, with the decreased voice coil diameter for combined PM type, the 1st resonant mode of the diaphragm is more efficiently excited due to concentrative excitation, resulting in lower and broader frequency range. Therefore, it can be said that the combined PM type microspeakers are more advantageous for high performance microspeaker which are essential for multimedia era.

화이트 노이즈와 핑크 노이즈가 뇌 활성도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of White Noise and Pink Noise on the Brain Activity)

  • 본 연구는 화이트 노이즈와 핑크노이즈가 뇌에 미치는 영향을 증명하기 위해 확률 공명(stochastic resonance, SR) 현상으로 확인하고자 한다. 피실험자 20명(여 10, 평균나이 $23.3{\pm}2.14$)을 대상으로 각각 노이즈 청각 자극을 제시하고 뇌파를 측정했으며, 주파수 분석을 통해 뇌 활성도를 확인했다. 분석결과, 레퍼런스, 화이트 노이즈 보다 핑크 노이즈 자극 시 alpha, low beta 대역이 증가하고, high beta 대역이 감소했다. 또한 전두엽과 측두엽 지점에서 유의하게 증가했으며, 뇌 활성도가 우반구에서 유의하게 우세한 패턴을 확인했다. 이 결과는 노이즈의 새로운 긍정적인 활용성 모색과 청각영역에 관한 뇌신경과학분야의 기초 연구로써 활용 가능할 것으로 사료된다.

악관절 장애 증상이 구강건강 상태와 정신건강 상태, 삶의 질에 미치는 영향 : 국민건강영양조사 2012년도 자료를 활용하여 (Effects of temporomandibular joint disorder symptoms on oral and mental health status and quality of life : using the 2012 data from Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of oral and mental health status on temporomandibular joint disorders (TMDs) and the effects of TMD symptoms on quality of life using data from the 5th 2012 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. Methods: A total of 1,154 people were selected as subjects for the study. Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) sounds (672 persons), TMJ pain (227 persons), and TMJ dislocation (255 persons) were the factors studied. The complex sample chi-square test was performed to compare demographic characteristics according to the three groups of TMD symptoms. Complex sample logistic regression analysis was performed to confirm the effect of oral and mental health status on TMDs, and complex sample linear regression analysis was performed to check the effect of TMDs on the quality of life (EQ-5D). Results: After adjusting for demographic characteristics, those without TMJ sound symptoms had lower pain/discomfort (OR: 0.055, CI: -0.095 to -0.016) and anxiety/depression (OR: 0.053, CI: -0.092 to -0.014). Those without TMJ pain had lower pain/discomfort (OR: 0.119, CI: -0.192 to -0.046) and anxiety/depression (OR: 0.071, CI: -0.137 to -0.004). Pain/discomfort (OR: 0.063, CI: -0.125 to -0.001) was lower in those without TMJ dislocation symptoms. After adjusting for mental health status, pain/discomfort (OR: 0.088, CI: -0.161 to -0.014) was found to be lower in those without TMJ pain symptoms (p<0.05). Conclusions: Based on the results of this study, the treatment of TMDs, oral health, and also mental health, is needed to improve the quality of life.

청각모델을 이용한 이식형 인공중이 시스템의 신호 전달 특성 해석 (Analysis of Signal Transfer Characteristics of Implantable Middle Ear System using Acoustic Model)

  • 이식형 인공중이는 음질과 주파수 특성이 우수하며 기존의 공기전도형 보청기가 가지는 고이득에서의 왜곡과 음향 피이드백에 의한 링잉 현상을 해소할 수 있어 차세대 보청기로 주목받고 있다 특히 두 개의 영구자석을 같은 극기리 접착한 후 코일내부에 위치시킨 타동 전자 트랜스듀서 방식의 이식형 인공중이는 외부의 자기장에 대해 영향을 받지 않으며 진동효율이 높고 자석과 코일의 간격조정이 필요 없는 동시에 주파수 응답특성이 우수하다. 본 연구에서는 이식형 인공중이에 사용하위해 개발된 타동 전자 트랜스듀서의 음향 모델을 구현한 후 정상인의 귀의 청각 모델에 적용시켜 트랜스듀서를 통하여 내이로 전달되는 신호의 주파수 특성을 해석하였다. 해석된 결과를 정상인의 귀의 주파수 특성과 비교함으로써 인공중이를 사용할 경우와 정상인의 귀와의 신호전달 특성 차이를 조사하였고 이를 통하여 정상인의 청각특성에 가까운 신호를 전달시킬 수 있는 인공중이의 설계가 가능하도록 하였다.

The Design and Characteristic Analysis of a Digital Signal Transmission System Based on Power Line Communications

  • The objective of this study is to share multimedia contents included in existing digital devices and to solve the problems of an increase in installation fees and non-environmentally friendly interiors. This study designed a new digital signal transmitter and receiver using power line transmission and HDMI in order to solve the problems in the existing systems. The transmitter and receiver designed in this study used an AD9867BCPZ PLC chip in which the transmission came from digital signals originating in a PC, and the system architecture was configured so that the outputs signals were connected to a TV from the receiver. The experiment was implemented by adding a Video Test Generator, a USBPre external sound card, and Smaart Live 6 for analyzing the characteristics of the configured system. In the video test results, it was verified that communication was actively implemented, and the image quality showed a constant level from the measurement of the captured video. In the case of the sound, it was verified that more than 90% of the sound signals were normally transmitted and received from the examination of their phases and magnitudes. Thus, the performance of the system designed in this study was verified, which leads to the resolution of some of the problems found in current digital devices.

가상 3D 그래픽을 이용한 집속형 초음파 탐촉자 성능평가 방법 (New Performance Evaluation Method of Focused Ultrasonic Transducers By Using Virtual 3D Graphic)

  • 초음파 의료 영상기기나 산업용 초음파 검사 시스템의 성능은 초음파 탐촉자의 성능에 의해 크게 좌우된다. 탐촉자의 성능 특성 정보는 보통 제작자가 제공하는 반사원의 초음파 R/F 신호와 주파수 특성에 의해 기술된다. 그러나 집속형 초음파 탐촉자의 경우, 두 자료로는 선명한 C-Scan 이미지를 얻을 수 있다는 것을 보증할 수는 없다. 그래서 집속형 초음파 탐촉자의 성능 평가를 위한 새로운 척도로 상대 초점크기 및 상대 유효초점영역의 모양을 제안한다. 상대 초점의 크기와 상대 유효초점영역의 모양은 쇠구슬로부터 획득된 초음파 R/F 신호를 가상 3차원 영상 복원 프로그램으로 처리하여 얻는다. 제시된 방법은 기존 자료로는 알 수 없었던 탐촉자 성능을 정확히 평가할 수 있었으며, 방법도 간단하여 실제 탐촉자 제작시 불/양품을 쉽게 가려 낼 수 있으며, 탐촉자 경년열화에 따른 성능 저하도 검출할 수 있는 장점을 갖는다. 결과적으로 초음파 영상기기나 산업용 초음파 검사 시스템의 성능을 담보할 수 있다.

기계시각을 이용한 현미의 개체 품위 판별 알고리즘 개발 (Algorithm for Discrimination of Brown Rice Kernels Using Machine Vision)

  • An ultimate purpose of this study was to develop an automatic system for brown rice quality inspection using image processing technique. In this study emphasis was put on developing an algorithm for discriminating the brown rice kernels depending on their external quality with a color image processing system equipped with an adaptor magnifying the input image and optical fiber for oblique lightening. Primarily, geometical and optical features of images were analyzed with paddy and the various brown rice kernel samples such as a sound, cracked, peen-transparent, green-opaque, colored, white-opaque and brokens. Secondary, geometrical and optical parameters significant for identifying each rice kernels were screened by a statistical analysis(STEPWISE and DISCRIM procedure, SAS wer. 6) and an algorithm fur on- line discrimination of the rice kernels in static state were developed, and finally its performance was evaluated. The results are summarized as follows. 1) It was ascertained that the cracked kernels can be detected when e incident angle of the oblique light is less than 2$0^{\circ}C$ but detectivity was significantly affected by the angle between the direction of the oblique light and the longitudinal axis of the rice kernel and also by the location of the embryo with respect to the oblique light. 2) The most significant Parameters which can discriminate brown rice kernels are area, length and R, B and r values among the several geometrical and optical parameters. 3) Discrimination accuracies of the algorithm were ranged from 90% to 96% for a sound, cracked, colored, broken and unhulled, about 81 % for green-transparent and white-opaque and 75 % for green-opaque, respectively.

오존 대기 환경기준의 비교 연구 (A Comparative study on Ambient Air Quality Standard for Ozone)

  • Based on air quality monitoring data('89~'97) operated by the Department of Environment, we provide various fundamental statistics for ground ozone. The purpose of this paper are to review the national ambient ozone standard, to study spatial distribution of ozone. Since we, in Korea, calculate average ozone level, to examine the occurrences of ozone level 3 times a day (1~8, 9~16, 17~24 hours), the method does not seem to be scientifically sound comparing to a running average method adapted by the USEPA. When we counted the number of cases with 8-h average O3 level exceeding 60ppb(8-h average standard in Korea)and 80 ppb (that in the U.S.A) and also when we calculated 8-hour average ozone level based on th US method, some regions were classified as non-attainment areas. Especially in Seoul, results of spatial distribution analysis showed that high level ozone over 80 ppb was observed at Kuui-Dong and Pangi-Dong in the eastern part and at Ssangmun-Dong in the northeastern part. Also, occurrences of ozone episode defined as number of days then ozone level exceeding 80 ppb for 3 consecutive hours were extensively reviewed in this paper.
