Analysis of total harmonic distortion in microspeaker considering coupling effect (연성 효과를 고려한 마이크로스피커 왜율분석)

  • With the advent of mobile phone, Digital multimedia broadcasting (DMB) service is to be realized for multimedia data communication. For an acoustic part, a smaller and lighter microspeaker is also soon to be realized as an MP3 song player and a speakerphone. Sound quality in the microspeaker is becoming more important in mobile phones. It is evaluated by total harmonic distortion (THD). THD is the proportion of higher order frequencies output response to sinusoidal input signal. It is affected by uneven magnetic distribution and nonlinear response of diaphragm. In this paper, harmonic distortion is analyzed by considering magnetic and mechanical coupling effects. Simulated results of THD are compared with experimental data. Results show that THD in lower frequency range is higher due to high displace on voice coil and high mechanical response of high order frequency.

  • This thesis describes the development of a service system for small-sized shops which support not only music broadcasting, but editing and generating voice announcement using the TTS(Text-To-Speech) technology. The system has been developed based on web environments with an easy access whenever and wherever it is needed. The system is able to control the sound using silverlight media player based on the ASP .NET 2.0 technology without any additional application software. Use of the Ajax control allows for multiple users to get the maximum load when needed. TTS is built in the server side so that the service can be provided without user's computer. Due to convenience and usefulness of the system, the business sector can provide better service to many shops. Further additional functions such as statistical analysis will undoubtedly help shop management provide desirable services.

  • Digital Information Display and KIOSK have a problem that initial introduction cost and maintenance cost due to the development cost of dedicated contents and installation cost are high due to the characteristics of the product.   • 본 연구는 멀티터치 인터페이스를 이용한 음향 효과 재생 시스템을 구현하고자 한다. 적외선 카메라를 통해 인식된 손의 위치를 분석하고 해당위치에 형성된 오브젝트의 물리적 움직임을 통해 미리 설정된 음향과 리듬효과를 얻는다. 본 연구에서는 시 청각적 피드백을 사용하여 보다 풍부한 감성을 자극시켜 엔터테인먼트 효과 외에 아동 치료 목적으로도 사용 할 수 있는 시스템을 구현하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 3D사운드 생성 기술 중 대표적인 방법인 원음에 HRTF(머리전달함수)를 콘볼루션(convolution)하는 방식으로 음상정위 모듈을 구현하였으며 음장감을 부여하기 위하여 잔향(reverberation) 효과를 추가하고 크로스토크 현상을 제거하기 위하여 트랜스오럴 필터를 추가하였다. 본 논문에서는 sampling rate conversion을 사용하여 decimation과 interpolation을 수행하여 44.1KHz의 sampling rate로 된 coefficient를 downsample하거나 upsample한 HRTR(머리전달함수)를 사용하여 콘볼루션(convolution)을 수행했다. 본 논문에서는 3D사운드 생성과정에서 필요한 연산과정을 최소화하여 일반 PC의 computing power로도 sampling rate conversion된 데이터를 처리하여 줄 수 있는 알고리즘을 제시하고 구현하였다.

  • A main objective of audio equalizer is for user to tailor acoustic frequency response to increase sound comfort and example applications of audio equalizer includes large-scale audio system to portable audio such as mobile MP3 player. Up to now, all the audio equalizer requires manual setting to equalize frequency bands to create suitable sound quality for each genre of music. In this paper, we propose an intelligent audio graphic equalizer system that automatically classifies the music genre using music content analysis and then the music sound is boosted with the given frequency gains according to the classified musical genre when playback. In order to reproduce comfort sound, the musical genre is determined based on two-step hierarchical algorithm - coarse-level and fine-level classification. It can prevent annoying sound reproduction due to the sudden change of the equalizer gains at the beginning of the music playback. Each stage of the music classification experiments shows at least 80% of success with complete genre classification and equalizer operation within 2 sec. Simple S/W graphical user interface of 3-band automatic equalizer is implemented using visual C on personal computer.

An Effect of the Prefrontal Lobe Influenced by Game Music Mixed with White Noise (백색잡음을 혼합한 게임음악이 전전두엽에 미치는 영향)

  • The sound of digital media would be able to perform communication by stimulating body's senses. Because the sound stimuli could arouse a person into the physiological excitement and sensitivity, which appear as the changes of heartbeat, blood pressure, brain waves(EEG) signals. In this paper, we would like to examine whether the game music mixed with relaxing white noises has an effect to relax game player or not through the EEG changes of game players. For the experiment, we divided game players into group A that plays game while hearing game music mixed with white noises, and group B that plays game while hearing game music not mixed. And we measured the EEG changes of the prefrontal lobe between two groups. The result shows that the game music mixed with white noises has an relaxing effect for the left brain, but fall short of the expectations for the right brain. It would be a basic research which will contribute to the development of serious games for psychotherapy using relaxing white noises.

  • 본 논문에서는 청강문화산업대학교 게임전공 2014학년도 졸업 작품인 '사이코메트리(Psychometry)' 게임 내에서 등장하는 연출용 이펙트 사운드에 따른 플레이어의 반응을 테스트하고 그 결과를 도출한다. 이 테스트 결과에 따라 플레이어가 게임을 플레이하면서 가장 자극을 받는 이펙트 사운드가 무엇이며, 그 이유를 연구하고 추후 개발에 적용하여 게임 내에서 플레이어에게 사운드를 가장 효과적으로, 영향력 있게 전달할 수 있도록 게임을 설계하는 것을 목표로 한다.

  • Bix Beiderbecke is a cornet player known as the first white jazz musician with white sound. In this study, we will see the similarity between his originality in black jazz field and 'Stream of consciousness' in 20th century's english literature. It is hard to verify how these two arts affect each other, and it is also very interesting to see the resemblance between jazz and the literature in their forms of expression. Especially, a jazz artist should have common understanding with english literature in the way of the expression, we are to pay more attention to the different form of the artistic works and study more about them to express in our way.
