Rapid Prototyping(RP) is the technique which is used to make prototypes or functional parts directly using the 3-D solid data. Before building the prototype, several processes such as transfering 3D data from CAD system(STL) determination of build-direction, adding support structure and slicing are required. Among the above processes. determination of build-direction is the target of this study. The build direction is determined by many factors according to the objective of the user, like part accuracy, number of support structure, build time, amount of trapped volume, etc, But it is not easy to determine the build-direction because there are many factors and some factors have dependent properties with one another. So, in this study the part accuracy, the number of support structures and build time are considered as the main factor to determine the optimal build-direction. To determine the optimal build-direction for increasing part accuracy, sum of projected area which caused stairstepping effect was considered. The less the projected area is the better part accuracy is About the optimal build-direction to minimize the amount of support structure, sum of projected area of facets that require support structures was considered. About the build time, we considered the minimum height of part we intended. About the build time, we considered the minimun height of part we intended to make.
This paper focuses on the study of seismic behavior of steel reinforced concrete special-shaped column-beam joints. Six specimens, which are designed according to the principle of strong-member and weak-joint core, are tested under low cyclic reversed load. Key parameters include the steel form in column section and the ratio of column limb height to thickness. The failure mode, load-displacement curves, ductility, stiffness degradations, energy dissipation capacity and shear deformation of joint core of the test subassemblies are analyzed. The results indicate that SRC special-shaped column-beam joints have good seismic behavior. All specimens failed due to the shear failure of the joint core, and the failure degree between the two sides of joint core is similar for the exterior joint but different for the corner joint. Compared to the joints with channel steel truss, the joints with solid web steel skeleton illustrate better ductility and energy dissipation capacity, but the loading capacity and stiffness are roughly close. With the increasing of the ratio of column limb height to thickness, the joints illustrate higher loading capacity and stiffness, better energy dissipation capacity, but worse ductility.

A numerical study is made on the ice-formation for water flow inside a stenotic tube. The study takes into account the interaction existing between the laminar flow and the stenotic port in the circular tube. In the solution strategy, the present study is substantially distinguished from the existing works In that the complete set of governing equations in both the solid and liquid regions are resolved. In a channel flow between parallel plates, the agreement of predictions and available experimental data is very good. Numerical results are mainly obtained by varying the height and length of a stenotic shape and additionally for several temperatures of the wall and inlet of tube. The results show that the shape of stenotic port has the great effect on the thickness of the solidification layer in the tube. As the height of a stenosis grows and the length of a stenosis decreases, the ice layer thickness near the stenotic port is thinner due to backward flow caused by the sudden expansion of water tunnel. It is also found that the ice layer becomes more fat In accordance with Reynolds number and the temperature of the wall and inlet of tube decreased.

We propose nano-scale Cu direct bonding technology using ultra-high density Cu nano-pillar (CNP) with for high stacking yield exascale 2.5D/3D integration. We clarified the joining mechanism of nano-scale Cu direct bonding using CNP. Nano-scale Cu pillar easily bond with Cu electrode by re-crystallization of CNP due to the solid phase diffusion and by morphology change of CNP to minimize interfacial energy at relatively lower temperature and pressure compared to conventional micro-scale Cu direct bonding. We confirmed for the first time that 4.3 million electrodes per die are successfully connected in series with the joining yield of 100%. The joining resistance of CNP bundle with $80{\mu}m$ height is around 30 m for each pair of $10{\mu}m$ dia. electrode. Capacitance value of CNP bundle with $3{\mu}m$ length and $80{\mu}m$ height is around 0.6fF. Eye-diagram pattern shows no degradation even at 10Gbps data rate after the lamination of anisotropic conductive film.
This study attempts to analyse the solid mixing in the feeder and the packing effect for pressure fluctuations in the fluidized bed. To study the mixing characteristics of solid in vibrating feeder for the stable operations of fluidized combustion, the system consisted of two groups of particles such that fine particles were located on the top of the coarse particles before vibratory mixing had started. The effects of packing materials on the pressure fluctuations in a fluidized bed were analysed by using a statistical method to interpret the behavior of fluidized bed. The experiments were carried out in a fluidized bed of 6.7cm-ID, and the experimental variables were particle sizes, of 115 to 1,015$\mu\textrm{m}$ in diameter and the multi-sized particles haying Rosin-Rammler and Gaussian distributions. The settled bed heights of particles to diameter ratios (L/D) were ranged from 0.5 to 2.0. And fluidizing of particles was carried out by air. The packing materials used were screen packing, and the properties of the pressure fluctuations in the fluidized bed were measured by a differential pressure transducer. The properties of the pressure fluctuations calculated were the mean, the standard deviation, and the major frequency of the power spectral density functions. From the characteristics of fluidizing, it was found that the standard deviation of pressure fluctuations could be effectively used to explain the fluidized phenomena, and the packing materials affected severely the properties of the pressure fluctuations. As a result, from the interpretation by spectral analysis, the effects of measuring radius of pressure fluctuations on standard deviation were constant in the case of the fluidized bed with and without packing materials. However, the effects of measuring the height of pressure fluctuations on standard deviations were linear increasing for the fluidized bed with packing materials, but were constant for the fluidized bed without packing materials at 4.5cm above the gas distributor. The major frequency of pressure fluctuations was found to be nearly independent of fluidized system. Also, the major frequency of pressure fluctuations decreased with increasing packing size, and it had maximum value at 10% of the packing amount.

This study was conducted to obtain proper amount of solid swine manure and poultry manure in the beginning phase of Cornus kousa growth by investigating the initial germination, seedling growth increment, dry weight, chlorophyll content change, body nutrient uptake and chemical changes of soil according to the concentration of solid swine manure and poultry manure fertilization. When treated with solid swine manure and poultry manure, seed germination rate was the highest in the control. However germination rate showed a tendency to decrease when treated with high concentration of swine manure and poultry manure. The survey results of the growth increment were all higher than that of the control. At the 1.0% treatment of both swine and poultry manure, the seedling height growth was highest. Poultry manure treatment made higher result than swine manure treatment at each treatment. Dry weight was the highest at the 1.0% treatment by both swine and poultry manure. Dry amount declined sharply at the 2.0% treatment. Poultry manure was higher in weight than swine manure at every treatment. Chlorophyll content was the highest at the 1.0% treatment by both swine and poultry manure, but declined sharply at the 2.0% treatment. The survey content was higer than that of the control. The amount of nutrients absorbed in the seedling body was generally high at the 1.0% treatment of swine manure and poultry manure. For the planting soil of Cornus kousa the higher concentration of swine manure and poultry manure was, the lower pH became. However, nitrogen, got higher. available phosphoric acid, exchangeable K, Na, and Mg got higher.

The objective of this study was to develop an advanced pump technology using tornado and axial pumping principles without priming water. The developed rotor type slurry pump consisted of an electric motor, driving shaft and coupling, a rotor, an impeller, suction and discharge pipes. For the clean water test, the experimental results are presented for the discharge flowrate, electric power input and vacuum pressure with the rotor design parameters as a function of the motor rpm. The slurry discharge characteristics with the solid concentration of the cement slurry was performed. As the rotor diameter and height increase, the discharge flowrate and electric power input increase while the vacuum pressure in the suction pipe decreases. The rotor thickness had no significant effect on the discharge flowrate and electric power input. Slurries with more than 18 % solid concentration, which is the development factor, can be pumped.
Reconstruction of 3D objects from a single view image is generally an ill-posed problem because of the projection distortion. A monocular vision based 3D object localization method is proposed in this paper, which approximates an object on the ground to a simple bounding solid and works automatically without any prior information about the object. A spherical or cylindrical object determined based on a circularity measure is approximated to a bounding cylinder, while the other general free-shaped objects to a bounding box or a bounding cylinder appropriately. For a general object, its silhouette on the ground is first computed by back-projecting its projected image in image plane onto the ground plane and then a base rectangle on the ground is determined by using the intuition that touched parts of the object on the ground should appear at lower part of the silhouette. The base rectangle is adjusted and extended until a derived bounding box from it can enclose the general object sufficiently. Height of the bounding box is also determined enough to enclose the general object. When the general object looks like a round-shaped object, a bounding cylinder that encloses the bounding box minimally is selected instead of the bounding box. A bounding solid can be utilized to localize a 3D object on the ground and to roughly estimate its volume. Usefulness of our approach is presented with experimental results on real image objects and limitations of our approach are discussed.
This research was to examine the differences in post-harvest quality of melons depending on the harvest time after fruit setting. Musk melon cultivar 'K3' plants were grown in glass house conditions with a hydroponic system, and the fruits were harvested at 50, 60, and 70 days after fruit setting. The post-harvest characteristics of melons stored at 7℃ were measured over 32 days. The harvested fruits at 50, 60, 70 days after fruit setting did not differ significantly in weight, height, or size. Solid sugar content was highest in the fruits harvested at 70 days after fruit setting, but firmness, L* value, and respiration rate were highest in the fruits harvested at 50 days after fruit setting. When the harvested melons were stored at 7℃, 'K3' melons responded differently according to the harvest days after fruit setting. The major changes during storage of 'K3' melons can be summarized as follows: Firmness, respiration, moisture content, and general appearance index during storage were highest in the melons harvested at 50 days after fruit setting, but soluble solid content, fresh weight loss, and sensory evaluation were high in the melons harvested at 60 and 70 days after one. During storage at 7℃, there were no significant differences in the appearance of 'K3' melons harvested at different periods after fruit setting, but difference in soluble solid content and taste were noted. It is recommended that the fruit of 'K3' melon plants be harvested about 60 days after fruiting to provide consumers with the highest quality for taste and for storage.
The anaerobic digestion of organic synthetic wastewater in anaerobic fluidized bed bioreactor (AFBBR) and anaerobic fluidized packed bed bioreactor (AFPBBR) was studied. This study was conducted to evaluate efficiency and reliability of two reactor. Experiment was performed to find the effect of upflow rate with AFBBR and the height of packed bed with AFPBBR. As a result, this program obtained several conclusion. These are given as follows: As applied the upflow rate increased in AFBBR the produced volume of biogas increased, while the gas production and COD removal decreased at above 0.3 m$^3$/h. When a upflow rate is 0.4 m$^3$/h in AFBBR the volatile suspended solid (VSS) became significantly increased. At an organic loading rate from 0.1 to 0.4 of upflow rate in AFBBR, the methane yield was 1.5584 m$^3$CH$_4$/kgCOD removed, and the observed cell yield coefficient was 0.0933 gVSS/gCOD. In case of AFPBBR, the results showed also that 20 cm of height of packed bed was superior to other in the aspect ot biogas production, the content of methane and COD removal. At 20 cm of height, the profile of microorganisms was stable, while at 30 cm the VSS of effluent became higher than AFBBR. Though COD removal of AFPBBR increased with packed bed, COD removal deteriorate with over packing because the loss of pressure became higher in the reactor. At an organic loading rate from 20 to 40 cm of packed bed in-AFPBBR, the methane yield was 2.5649 m$^3$CH$_4$/kgCOD removed, and the observed cell yield coefficient was 0.0506 gVSS/gCOD. Based upon the results obtained, it is suggested that AFBBR and AFPBBR is the most effective conditions at 0.3 m3/h of upflow rate, the 20cm of packed bed, respectively. The rate constant are summarized as follow:
